Chapter 468: Chapter 465: The Third Encounter with Mountain Woman (Two-in-One) Chapter 468: Chapter 465: The Third Encounter with Mountain Woman (Two-in-One) mory is a peculiar thing, you desperately search for it when lost, yet once found, you wish to cast away those parts filled with pain and despair.
Anna’s gaze lacked much emotion, even unnaturally calm, making Roger feel that she had relaxed significantly.
“You know, Roger, before recovering my mory, I wandered in the graveyard countless tis.”
“Bodies were buried in the soil, their flesh absorbed by , and their souls unfolded before my eyes like pages in a diary.”
“I perused their mories, felt their pain and joy, and imagined my past countless tis.”
“Not too bad.”
Anna even showed a rare smile, “It’s not as bad as I imagined.”
She sighed, “The only regret is that I was able to recover so little of my mory, after all, I was too young at the ti, with frail Soul Power, and didn’t leave many mories.”
“Especially those about my mother.”
“I can’t even rember her face or her na.”
“But fortunately, I found myself.”
She extended her hand and introduced herself solemnly, “Anna Lietta.”
“Roger, thank you for your company all the way.”
Anna stepped forward and hugged Roger, “What a pity, I don’t have my own body…”
Anna’s voice rang in his ear, and Roger was slightly stunned, a bad premonition rising in his heart. He reached to grasp Anna’s shoulder, only to feel an icy chill.
Then, Anna’s entire being began to turn ethereal.
“What’s happening?”
“This is the price.”
Anna said with a smile, “In order to recover the mories of the past, I had to venture deeper into the Shadow World, where fragnts of mories belonging here are buried.”
“If it weren’t for that blood handprint, I probably would never have been able to co here and recover everything about myself.”
As her words fell, everything around began to collapse, an invisible force tugging at Anna’s right leg and left arm.
Roger suddenly understood sothing. The garden was his private domain, but Anna had used special thods to enter another Shadow World through the broken Shadow Gate.
That place must have been used by Lilith many years ago to transfer energy. Although Anna found her mory here, at the sa ti, the bones in her body triggered the energy.
It was no longer an infusion, but a taking away!
The true owner of that energy was reclaiming the parts she had lost!
Roger looked up into the distance, and he seed to see a huge woman’s face in the rolling black mist.
A familiar face, a different temperant.
That was Lilith!
Anna’s left hand only managed to graze Roger’s face before the strong pulling force tore them apart.
“Co back!”
Roger roared, his power erupting, but it was useless under the influence of the world’s rules.
He maintained his struggling posture, but when he ca to his senses, he found himself standing in front of the gate at the end of the pathway, with the blood handprint gradually dissipating.
He continued forward, but a barrier ford in the space, preventing him from taking even a half step further, no matter how hard he tried.
The Shadow Gate was shattered; it was a place only Anna could briefly enter. It wasn’t a complete passage but more like a dump, cluttered with past shadow mories of the manor.
Roger felt like he had spent a long ti inside, but in reality, from the mont he entered to the mont he left, the ti was so brief it was almost negligible.
“This damn gate!”
Roger urgently wanted the Shadow Gate fragnt in Black Soul’s possession, not knowing whether it would be useful, but it was the only thod he could think of at the mont.
He quickly contacted Gawain again and urged him to speed up. Gawain, of course, agreed readily, but after ending the communication, Roger was still uneasy and took out his phone to call Henrik.
“How is it going?”
“How was it, attending Goway’s promotion ceremony? It was good, wasn’t it?”
As soon as the phone was answered, Henrik asked cheerfully.
“What ‘good’?”
“We are best friends; there is no need to hide from , tsk tsk, such an important event, and her personal invitation to you says it all.”
“My lad, do not doubt my experience.”
“Do you want to talk to you about it?”
Henrik seed to be in a good mood.
“Cut the crap, I have important business for you!”
Roger interrupted Henrik without hesitation, “The first ti I ca to Eld, I took you to the forest to et a woman.”
“Mountain Woman, rember her?”
“Cough cough… cough cough!”
Suddenly, violent coughing ca from Henrik over the phone.
After a few seconds, Henrik’s lowered voice ca through, “You said you had serious matters, why bring her up?”
Henrik’s voice seed uncomfortable.
“Heh.”
Roger scoffed.
“Last ti I saw her it was for a serious matter, and it’s the sa this ti. I have an important question for her.”
“As for what you did in the cabin that night, well, that I don’t know.”
“What do you want?”
“Brother, I’m not the sa man I used to be. I’ve found my haven and won’t go wandering around anymore.”
Henrik refused adamantly.
“I’m not asking you to go. When we parted last ti, Mountain Woman gave you sothing. You said as long as you have that item, you could call her in any forested area.”
“That’s what I need.”
