Chapter 453: Chapter 453 I consider you a friend… Chapter 453: Chapter 453 I consider you a friend… Goway seed to imply that she was the most outstanding mber of the family in the past few decades, but according to her rate of progress, it would still take at least five years before she might co into contact with the threshold of the Third Tier.
It turned out to be a blessing in disguise; the power of the Companion Treants directly enhanced her capacity limit. Under the stimulation of the family’s Secret Laws, the Companion Treants grew at an astonishingly fast rate.
The energies of both ford a positive cycle, pushing each other’s strength to a higher level almost every day.
Advancing to the Third Tier was a foregone conclusion.
As the only one who had risen to beco a Transcendent in recent years, this naturally attracted a lot of attention.
Goway’s family was one of the many Secret Blood Families.
Their positioning was strange; it originated from bloodlines, but the energy contained within their blood was much lower than that of a true Blood Hunter.
This ant they could not use the Blood Hunters’ channels for advancent and instead needed to polish their spirits and cultivate spells like Wizards.
However, due to the hereditary nature of their bloodlines, they had their own separate system, which did not quite fit in with real Wizards.
This difference in status ant they were neither accepted by the Blood Hunters nor could they integrate into the world of Wizards.
Over ti, they ford their own independent force.
Many years ago, they pledged allegiance to the Round Table Knight Order, but the decision did not change their lives as they had expected.
Instead, they lost a large portion of the family’s bloodline in the endless Inheritance Ceremonies, and their strength declined repeatedly, leaving only a few high-end combatants.
Their core strength was also severely depleted.
It was for this reason that Goway’s advancent was deed exceedingly significant.
After leaving so information and making the necessary preparations, Roger set out for the place ntioned by Goway.
The clock shop he had visited in the past.
He was greeted by the sa familiar woman, and what surprised Roger was that ever since he entered the room, the woman had been sizing him up with an extrely strange look.
“Is there sothing unusual about ?” Roger couldn’t help but ask.
The woman’s gaze on him was like she was assessing a piece of rchandise, scrutinizing every detail.
“Looks alright, not sure if it’ll be of any use…”
“What are you talking about?” Roger asked again.
“Oh, nothing.” The woman glanced up at the clock on the wall, “Choose a mode of transport.”
The woman pointed to several tipieces laid out in front of Roger.
Roger was slightly startled, “A mode of transport, where?”
All he saw was an hourglass, a pocket watch, a wall clock, and sothing bizarre, resembling an alarm clock.
“Pick one,” the woman said, evidently unwilling to explain further.
Without hesitation, Roger chose the palm-sized hourglass, its shape almost exactly matched the Array in his mind, inexplicably evoking a strong sense of familiarity.
“Good choice.”
“Pick it up and after entering the forest, turn the hourglass upside down,” she instructed.
Roger faintly understood sothing; obviously, all these items were Cursed Items. Judging by their appearance alone, he could not tell exactly what he had chosen.
He picked up the hourglass from the table, and a ssage appeared on the display board. After glancing at it casually, Roger nodded and left the clock shop.
He walked into the forest and turned the hourglass upside down in his hand. Strangely, the fine sand from the top did not fall to the bottom; instead, the hourglass suddenly cracked open, and all the sand gushed out.
As the sands danced, the scene before his eyes returned to normal, and a two-horse carriage appeared before Roger.
“Quite the interesting little trick.”
This fairy-tale opening made Roger look forward to the journey ahead with so excitent.
The fairy tales of recent tis had been too eye-watering, and he desperately needed so peaceful and warm scenes to soothe his soul, which had been tornted by dark fairy tales.
There was no coachman on the carriage. After Roger boarded, the horsewhip in front lifted, and the carriage drove into the forest.
As the speed increased, the scenery outside the window twisted, letting Roger know that the place he entered did not exist within the real world.
This carriage served both as transportation and one of the thods of entry and exit.
Roger relaxed and stopped looking at the distorted scenery outside the window. He stretched lazily, and when he leaned back, many fine sand-like substances enveloped him.
Ti flew by quickly, and Roger could not even feel the carriage slowing down. The carriage door opened, and a voice rang out from outside.
“Who might it be?”
“From the Curtis family, or perhaps Olesto?”
“Neither.” Roger said with a smile as he stepped down from the carriage, two girls with green hair standing on the grass, surrounded by colorful flowers in bloom.
“I am a friend of Goway, Roger, invited to attend her promotion…”
“You’re Roger?” A sowhat familiar voice rang out, and Roger turned his head to see a girl with lovely blue eyes, looking at him in surprise.
“You are…”
“You haven’t seen before, but I’ve heard Goway ntion your na many tis.”
The girl waved her hand.
“Co with , I’ll take you to Goway.”
A sly glint flickered in her eyes as she covertly exchanged a look with the two girls who had been greeting Roger.
The subtle interchange among the three did not escape Roger’s eyes, but he wasn’t particularly concerned, “Where do you plan on taking ?”
“I’ve heard that within the Secret Blood Family, there are so strange rules.”
Roger observed the girl with the blue eyes.
“Though you are quite beautiful, we have just t…”
He said with feigned hesitation, “isn’t this a bit too fast?”
“Haha!”
“He’s not that easily fooled.”
A petite girl erged from the woods; Goway now carried a certain inexplicable aura about her that wasn’t there before.
Goway was much shorter than Roger, so standing in front of him, she had to look up.
“Co with , I’ll take you to a place to rest.”
“Also, many rumors about the Secret Blood Family outside are false.”
“You’re the only one here tonight, you best not have any other thoughts.”
Roger shrugged his shoulders.
“I’m just here for your Inheritance Ceremony, what other thoughts could I have?”
Walking side by side, Goway’s green hair naturally fell around her, a red pattern on her fair neck partially visible.
There was a familiar energy pulsing within the pattern.
Rose Princess.
“During this Inheritance Ceremony, there’s sothing I hope to get your help with.”
Goway seed sowhat absentminded until they reached a wooden house, then she looked up at Roger and spoke.
“We inherit our bloodlines, and the continuation of that bloodline is of paramount importance to the Secret Blood Family, so before the ceremony, there will be a public challenge.”
“The Guardian will fight all the suitors who co to declare their love publicly. This person was supposed to be taken on by my brother, but unfortunately…”
Goway shook her head, “This is just part of the procedure and does not an I will select the victor to be my lover.”
“But you don’t want to reject everyone, so you’ve asked to defeat all your suitors for you?” Roger added.
He looked at Goway with an odd expression on his face.
“So that’s why you invited here.”
He sighed softly.
“I thought…”
“You thought what?” Goway pressed.
But imdiately after, she seed to grasp sothing.
“Hehe.”
“I consider you a friend, yet you actually…”
