Chapter 388: Chapter 388: Pretend for a Mont… (1) Chapter 388: Chapter 388: Pretend for a Mont… (1) “Mist.”

Without waiting for the Paladin to introduce him, Roger took the initiative to speak.

Abraham examined Roger carefully. Beneath his mask, Roger couldn’t see his expression, but it was obvious that he was trying to use so special power.

Roger wasn’t worried about it at all.

After introducing himself, he didn’t even glance at Abraham but leaned slightly backward, scanning the room as if looking for soone.

“Hmm… it seems so of those who doubted have disappeared,” Roger said nonchalantly.

“Where did he go? Did he die?”

The mont his words fell, silence filled the room.

Then, Black Soul, who had been silent since the eting began, suddenly shook the black hood on his head.

He leaned forward slightly.

“Mr. Mist, we an no offense, and furthermore…” Black Soul hesitated for a mont.

“So people have paid the price they should have, and I think you can let it go now.”

Roger blinked.

What’s going on?

I only made a casual remark; could it be that sothing really did happen to that guy recently?

Roger wanted to ask in detail, but thinking of the attitude he had always maintained, he gave an evasive reply.

“Mr. Black Soul, I don’t quite understand what you are talking about.”

Roger sat up straight, arms slightly open, “I had no intention of intruding on your eting, and aside from so irritating minor characters, I quite like the atmosphere here overall.”

“We should help each other for mutual benefit,” Roger’s voice lowered.

“Isn’t that right?”

“Yes,” many in the room replied in unison, to Abraham’s surprise.

He used to be a regular at the Foreign Spirit Assembly and was familiar with many of those present.

Each one here was powerful and defiant; their unusually uniform and sowhat respectful treatnt of the sa person was very surprising to Abraham.

“What exactly happened while I was away? Where did this Mist co from?” Abraham mused silently.

He felt it was necessary to find an opportunity to inquire.

Truth be told, the vast majority here were on an equal footing with him, and even a few who seldom showed up were more powerful than him.

Being able to assess situations is also an essential quality for the strong.

Roger nodded slightly; it seed his last disguise was very successful, leading everyone to have higher conjectures about his power.

However, he also knew when to quit while he was ahead, lest he inadvertently reveal any fatal flaws.

“Ahem.”

The Paladin eased the atmosphere, “Well then, let’s officially start the eting. Regarding so recent events, we can share information with each other.”

“The activities of the Dark Power have been growing more frequent. Does anyone know what’s happening? Such occurrences haven’t been seen for a long ti.”

“It’s quite unusual, doesn’t look like the signs of a major Cursed Land invading reality.”

A man wearing a mask that resembled a porcupine spoke, his face covered in a dense array of variously colored nails, different in thickness and size, forming a mask-like visage that was quite unsettling.

“It’s much more complicated than that.”

“I’ve heard so information; rumors have it that the Black Tide has co!” Black Soul stated leisurely.

“The Black Tide’s Advent.”

Soone emitted a strange laugh, “This looks like a once-in-a-lifeti opportunity. Who knows how long it will last this ti?”

“Even if it’s only for 10 or 20 years, that’s enough ti for us to do a lot.”

“It won’t last that long. Those beings won’t allow it. If necessary, they’ll intervene at any ti. Without even considering those hidden forces, just the existing combat strength of the Privy Council is enough to handle a Black Tide of ordinary scale.”

Black Soul let out a cold laugh.

“In the end, we still have to keep our tails between our legs,”

“If only I could enter the Fifth Tier…”

Black Soul sighed and fell silent.

“Has anyone participated in that battle a hundred years ago?”

“It’s said that the battle destroyed the remaining fragnts of the Shadow World. What a pity. If we could get hold of one, it would greatly boost our strength,”

Nailhead remarked.

“I descended 50 years ago,” Black Soul shook his head.

“I’ve been here for 30 years.”

“I, for 15 years.”

Everyone spoke all at once, and Roger noticed that Abraham had made so adjustnts when announcing the ti of his advent.

The Paladin’s probing gaze fell on Roger, who shrugged nonchalantly, “Don’t look at ; my understanding of this world is still very limited.”

“I’ve been here for less than a year.”

“A year?” Nailhead’s voice was filled with surprise. To be able to advance to this level in less than just one short year ant that this Mr. Mist’s soul was terrifyingly powerful!

A sudden impulse surged in his heart; he really wanted to ask about the actual combat power of the other party, but then he rembered what happened to the last guy who offended Mr. Mist.

He swallowed the words that had rushed to his lips.

“Right, there’s sothing I hope to get everyone’s help with.” Feeling the timing was right, Roger suddenly spoke up.

He stood up and left his seat, and for a while, Roger’s figure disappeared from everyone’s sight. Not long after, when Roger reappeared, he held a lantern in his hand.

“Snap!”

He placed the lantern on the table with an action that resembled discarding a piece of garbage. The fla inside the lantern flickered, burning quietly.

Upon seeing the lantern on the table, everyone’s expressions dramatically changed.

“Pale Blood, it’s Pale Blood!”

Soone shouted loudly.

“What?”

“The Pale Blood from a Fourth Tier Bloodline Holder’s body can actually be extracted?”

“How was this done?”

Everyone quickly realized another issue. As the energy source within a Fourth Tier Transcendent, no one would trade such a thing, no matter the cost.

Then, if one wishes to obtain pure Pale Blood, there is only one way.

That is to kill a Fourth Tier and extract it directly from their corpse!

Does this Mr. Mist have the strength to kill a Fourth Tier, then what level would his combat power reach?

A high Fourth Tier, or even higher… Fifth Tier?

No, impossible.

If it were a Fifth Tier, the arrival of such a person in the real world would definitely cause anomalies.

He himself would be equivalent to a moving Cursed Land.

Everyone looked at the rolling white mist outside the window behind Roger.

Is this why Mr. Mist always refused to show his face and concealed his bodily energy fluctuations?

While everyone was in shock, Abraham, who sat on the side, could hardly contain his excitent. He had made the lantern himself, and he was all too familiar with it.

Indeed, the lantern contained the very portion of Pale Blood that he had lost.

This item was supposed to be in the thief’s hands, how could it be…

Thinking of this, he blurted out.

“How did you co by this item?”

Silence fell all around, and everyone stared at Abraham in astonishnt.

Roger tapped a finger lightly on the table and lazily lifted his head, glancing at Abraham.

“Is it any of your concern?”

The voice was calm, with not the slightest fluctuation of emotion.
