Chapter 373: Chapter 373: The Battlefield of n Chapter 373: Chapter 373: The Battlefield of n “Are you kidding ?”

Henrik said nonchalantly, “Buddy, trust , there isn’t a woman in this world I can’t handle.”

“If it were ancient tis, I’d surely be an outstanding bard.” Henrik stroked his chin as he spoke.

“Wandering across the continent, attending various banquets and becoming a favorite guest among the nobility…”

“And a bedfellow of their wives,” Roger interjected at the right mont, feeling that this was actually what Henrik aspired to.

“That would have been a grand era, I’m sure all those noble ladies would adore .”

“Heh,” Roger couldn’t help but throw a wet blanket.

“I think you’d more likely get hacked to death with random knives.”

“Any interesting missions recently?”

Henrik shrugged, completely unfazed by Roger’s comnt, “We haven’t tead up for a mission in a long ti. Why didn’t you tell the last ti you went out?”

“Next ti, I’ll make sure to call you,” but no sooner had Roger finished speaking than he realized sothing.

“A proper mission, without introducing you to creatures like Mountain Won again,” Roger couldn’t help but stress.

“Don’t worry,” Henrik patted his chest confidently.

“My strength has been improving lately. If you keep to your old level, it might not be long before I surpass you.”

“Oh.”

Roger expressionlessly grasped the hilt of his sword behind his back.

“Want to try?”

“Haha…”

“I just rembered there’s sothing I need to attend to at the manor up ahead,” Henrik said with a laugh, and beat a hasty retreat.

What a joke, although they had never formally dueled, Henrik had seen from a distance Roger practicing swordsmanship on the grass. His strength always seed that of an average person, but his swordsmanship was far superior to when he had been in Bordeaux.

Henrik sighed. He felt he had missed the pri ti to give Roger a good thrashing.

Dilio’s manor had only been decorated minimally because he possessed a particularly special cursed item. Henrik claid to be busy with sothing, but in reality, he just wanted to avoid Roger.

“Hey, Didi-Dilio, about what I ntioned to you last ti…”

Without even knocking, Henrik pushed the door open, but the mont he stepped in, he froze in place.

In Dilio’s room, a breathtakingly beautiful woman was picking up her clothes from the floor, naked.

The woman was quite tall, her skin so delicately smooth it almost seed to radiate light, but what was more peculiar was her face—Henrik had seen many beauties.

Take, for example, the unforgettable Mountain Woman sisters who had a fierce night-long encounter with him in the forest cabin not long ago. In terms of charm, no woman could likely compare with the Night Demon Henrik had once been obsessed with.

Yet, for so inexplicable reason, upon seeing this woman’s face before him, Henrik felt montarily spellbound.

Through that exceptionally beautiful visage, Henrik seed to glimpse thousands of beautiful won with various personalities.

Forgetting to speak, he just stood there, dumbstruck, gazing at the woman not far away.

“Watching a lady change so unabashedly.”

“That doesn’t seem quite proper, does it?”

Snapped back to reality by the remark, Henrik reluctantly tore his gaze away, then turned and shuffled away with extre slowness, shoulders quivering as he glanced back.

The whole movent took more than ten seconds.

During that lengthy ti, the woman across the room had enough ti to get dressed and cover her lower body.

“Haha, sorry, I didn’t know you were in the room,” Henrik said, though his face showed no real remorse.

“Where’s Dilio?”

“He had matters to attend to and left. My na is Claudia. If you need anything regarding the manor in the near future, you can co directly to .”

The beautiful sister had finally appeared.

In an instant, Henrik felt that all the hardships he had endured before were worth it.

He could sense the elusive energy emanating from the woman across from him. Just like Roger said, this woman was very powerful.

“Beautiful Claudia, the sunlight outside is just right now, we could take a walk and talk,”

“Or get so fresh air. Since I arrived here, there are still many places in Dublin I haven’t visited.”

A faint smile crossed Claudia’s face.

She raised her eyebrows slightly, “Are you asking out?”

She sized up Henrik, seemingly amused by this type of encounter.

“Why not?” Henrik shrugged.

“To be honest, I’ve never t a woman as unique as you.”

Henrik pondered, yet he couldn’t find the precise words to describe her.

“Please forgive my rudeness.”

“In your presence, I feel like I’m facing 1,000 won.”

Upon hearing this, Claudia’s frown slowly smoothed out, and she began to scrutinize Henrik for the first ti.

Henrik slowly approached Claudia, making an exaggerated gesture of invitation.

The mont their fingers touched, Henrik felt his body stiffen inexplicably, as if an invisible pierce had penetrated his skin and entered his muscles.

Yet, he didn’t feel pain, instead his whole body trembled.

“Be careful of the pierce on my body,” Claudia said with a double entendre.

For her, dating a human seed to be a novel experience, and in just a short while, she even felt her cultivation had imperceptibly increased.

Henrik boldly tightened his grip on Claudia’s hand.

“You should also be wary of the pierce on my body.”

With the sa double entendre, his statent was incredibly bold.

In that mont, Henrik believed that the most correct thing he had done in his life was coming to Baytown and eting Roger.

Damn the mission, with such a beauty at hand, who would think about fulfilling so-called tasks and fighting those vile, filthy monsters?

As a man, one must always rember where the real battlefield lies!

……

Night.

Blair County, the manor.

“Huh…”

Goway awoke from her dream, raising her hand to wipe the sweat from her forehead, which was damp.

“Dreaming again.”

Lately, she had been feeling restless, which was sowhat frustrating. As a Secret Blood Witch, her senses were much stronger than those of ordinary people, and occasionally, on a whim, she could sense subtle changes in the ether.

Moonlight shone through the glass window onto the room, and Goway got out of bed to pour herself a glass of water.

Her brother had recently called her, and although he hadn’t said much, Goway could guess that Roger must have said so good words when visiting Grace.

“Nosy fellow,” Goway muttered, yet she felt an inexplicable warmth in her heart.

She drank the water in one gulp, and at the mont she placed the empty glass down, a flash of green light passed through Goway’s eyes. Her arm holding the cup moved sideways, and she let go of the glass!

Bang!

The glass hit the wooden door with a muffled sound but didn’t shatter instantly.

The next second, the energy on the wooden door was activated, buzzing. The entire room trembled as if so terrifying monster was hitting the frail wooden door from the outside.

Goway didn’t even check the situation at the door. Barefoot, she leaped into the air, curling into a ball, and eerily passed through the glass window, landing unhard outside in mid-air.

The ivy on the wall burst forth in growth, catching Goway’s body. Before she had a chance to survey her surroundings, darkness fell from above.

“It’s not safe for a girl to be outside so late at night.”

A man with wings on his back looked down at Goway from above. He flashed a toothy smile, revealing a hint of sharpness between his crimson lips.
