Chapter 320: Chapter 320: Give Back My Hat Chapter 320: Chapter 320: Give Back My Hat Rober leaned forward slowly because he noticed the tail that dangled from beneath the curtain was still sweeping back and forth, indicating that the thing inside was alive.
Just at that mont, Valerie ca from the direction of the kitchen, holding a wooden bowl in her hand filled with minced at that slled sowhat fragrant.
As Valerie approached the bedside, the curtain stirred, and a dark shadow suddenly leaped out from it.
Rober, who had been paying attention to the movent at the bedside, was startled. He stepped forward and pulled Valerie over to him.
At the sa ti, a flash of cold light appeared from his sleeve.
“Swish!”
With a muffled grunt, the shadow that jumped out was pierced through the head by the weapon in Rober’s hand in mid-air, and by the ti it fell to the ground, it had turned into a corpse.
Rober lowered his raised arm, and no one saw clearly what weapon had shot out from his sleeve in that instant.
“Miss Valerie…”
Rober half-embraced the girl’s body in his arms, but when he looked down, he realized that what lay in the pool of blood in the darkness was not so monster.
It was a large, robust dog.
“No, my Toby!”
Valerie exclaid, dropping the wooden bowl from her hands. She stepped forward and picked up the dead dog’s body, not caring that the fresh blood wetted her clothes.
“Is this your dog?”
Rober was sowhat stunned.
Tears stread down Valerie’s face. “Look what you’ve done?”
“You murderer, you killed it, you killed it!”
The girl accused him vehently.
Rober’s face flushed, his breathing beca rapid, as if he wanted to say sothing in his defense. But when he opened his mouth, nothing ca out.
“My poor Toby, we’ve been living together since I was 10. It was like my family, like my brother!”
Valerie turned around.
“Get out, you’re not welco here!”
Rober’s face had turned very ugly by this point, and a thought he had suppressed suddenly surged from his heart.
He stepped forward, kicked the dead dog’s body away.
“It’s just a dead dog!”
Rober lifted Valerie from the ground.
“Slap slap!”
He casually slapped Valerie’s face twice.
“Shut your mouth!”
An evil smile appeared on his face as he pointed to Inola standing at the door.
“Go out and keep watch for .”
He sneered at Valerie, “I suspect this woman is hiding so secret. Give a little ti, she will surely tell us everything we want to know!”
Inola opened her mouth as she glanced over a certain part of Rober’s body, and it was clear what the man planned to do in the room next.
But Inola did not intervene.
Whether the woman in front of her was part of the non-human race or a kind villager, she had no power to resist Rober.
They had already been delayed too long, and she indeed needed to find Sipigeng’s location.
The events of the night had already caused her unease.
“What are you standing there for?”
“Go guard the door, be careful of those monsters, perhaps Sipigeng is hiding amongst them.”
Rober commanded, breathing heavily.
Just then, a fit of violent coughing ca from behind the wooden bed.
“Oh, Valerie, my poor Valerie.”
“Who is hurting you?”
“Let her go!”
A forbidden impulse suddenly surged through Rober’s heart.
He snickered, pressed Valerie onto the table, and the girl struggled desperately.
“Get off, you beast!”
“I saved you out of kindness, and this is how you repay !”
“Ha ha!”
“Save ?”
“Poor girl, I don’t need your rescue at all, on the contrary, it’s you who might very much need right now.”
Inola stood outside the door, listening to the sounds of struggle coming from the room, she forced herself to shift her attention, looking around.
It seed like a shadowy figure flashed through the dark bushes.
“Boom!”
A ball of fire rose in her palm, and with a casual wave, Inola sent the fla burning towards a shadow in the forest.
“Sizzle!”
The sound of fabric tearing ca from the room, followed by footsteps, as soone stumbled to the door, desperately banging on it.
“Let out, let out now!”
Valerie was screaming in agony.
“Ha ha!”
Rober’s eyes were bloodshot, and his whole being was in a strange state, excited, frenzied, his reason seed to have been stripped from his body.
Throwing down the piece of fabric he was holding, Rober took a step forward, grabbing the golden hair at the back of Valerie’s neck.
“Co over here!”
He pulled hard.
First, there was a tightening in his hand, then sothing snapped, and it was only when Rober ca to his senses that he realized.
He was holding an entire blood-soaked scalp in his hand!
The blood dyed the golden hair red, and the thing in his hand looked like a crimson hat.
The entire scalp had been peeled off, but Valerie seed to feel no pain, as she kept banging on the door.
This eerie scene made Rober gasp, and at this mont Valerie seed to also notice the abnormalities on her own body.
She reached up and touched the top of her head, her palm stained with blood.
Valerie slowly turned around, a strange smile appearing on her beautiful face.
“Look what you’ve done?”
“Isn’t it better to keep tearing at my clothes?”
As she spoke, the Hunter’s Outfit that had been shredded into strips on Valerie’s body vanished like smoke.
The body underneath the clothing wasn’t as appealing as Rober had imagined, with blue veins wrapping around it, and the surface of the body seed to be covered with a layer of film, tough and thick.
The fingertips of her once tender white hands had withered and grown long sharp claws.
Looking at the scalp that had been peeled from Valerie, Rober panicked and threw the blood-stained golden hair out of his hand.
“If only you hadn’t taken off my ‘hat’, that would have been so nice, wouldn’t it?”
Valerie sneered.
“The bed’s all ready.”
“Tsk, tsk.”
“Such a pity!”
On guard, Rober felt a chill in his heart as he sensed a shadow slowly approaching from behind!
Although panicked, Rober hadn’t lost his sanity, recalling the various encounters since their eting, he knew he had fallen for her trick without realizing it from the very first contact.
He quickly cald down, considering himself one of the top Transcendent Blood Hunters, he was confident in his strength.
His right hand shook, revealing the weapon hidden in his sleeve.
“Ah…!”
In the night wind, Inola couldn’t help but shiver, followed by a scream from the room just behind her.
At first, she didn’t pay attention, but soon she recognized the owner of the scream.
“Is that Rober?”
“Damn, that woman is strange!”
Alard, she turned and pulled open the door!
The flas in her hand surged, lighting up the room’s interior.
Decay, rot.
Spider webs covered everything, and at the far end of the room was a broken wooden bed.
“What’s going on?”
“Where did Rober go?”
The next mont, the roar of a beast ca, and Inola stepped out of the door.
From all directions, she was surrounded by a dozen Werewolves!
