Chapter 273: Chapter 273 Bow Blade Chapter 273: Chapter 273 Bow Blade Deep in the forest.

Henrik and Roger stood facing each other, with Roger holding a sword in one hand, while Henrik, on the opposite side, was holding a uniquely shaped curved bow.

Though called a bow, its shape was quite bizarre, with two curved black blades at the ends of the bow arms, and one end of the bowstring seemingly grown together with the bow arm.

This weapon looked like it was part of so creature’s body, only simply processed and modified, so it appeared rough and fierce.

“This is a bow blade,”

“a very special weapon.”

With a slight shake of his left hand, the middle of the bow arm bent inwards and folded, the blades at both ends overlapping, forming a curved knife nearly 60 centiters in length.

Another shake of his left hand, and it returned to its original form.

“Don’t underestimate it because of its flashy design; it has a resounding na, the Rib of Rossos.”

“Rossos is a type of demon; this creature has the ability to transform, and its rib is sharp with very high plasticity, the most special of which is the fascia connected to the bones.”

“It’s the unrivaled choice for making bowstrings.”

Henrik gently vibrated it, letting out a buzzing sound, deep as if there were monsters roaring in one’s ears.

“Where’s your arrow?”

“Right here!”

Henrik’s right-hand fingers touched the bowstring, his eyes slightly focused with blue ice crystals flashing between his forefinger and middle finger.

In an instant, an ice arrow appeared on it.

Henrik’s hair moved as if blown by an unfelt wind, matching his handso face, upright stature, and the exaggeratedly shaped weapon in his hands.

At this mont, even Roger had to admit that, as showy as Henrik was, he still had the goods to back it up.

“I’m going to start!”

As soon as he finished speaking, the sharp arrow in Henrik’s hand shot out from the bowstring.

Crack.

Roger sidestepped half a step to the left, casually swinging his Steel Sword, the blue light in mid-air flickering and then being split in the air, falling to the ground.

“Don’t hold back; that level of power can’t hurt .”

With this arrow, Henrik had not aid at Roger’s body but shot into the open space.

“If you don’t hurry, you probably won’t have a chance to make a move.”

The straight-line distance between the two was only fifty to sixty ters, a distance that could be covered by Roger in an instant.

“Swish, swish, swish!”

“Then I won’t be polite any longer.”

Henrik rapidly shot arrows from his curved bow, three ice arrows one faster than the last, incorporating the techniques of spearmanship into his shooting, making Henrik’s arrows nearly impossible to trace.

After becoming Transcendent, this guy’s strength had increased substantially, and he was now basically approaching the peak of Elite Hunters.

If he conserved his energy well and absorbed the remaining Energy from the horn, he should be able to advance even further.

Normally, even if Roger could block these three attacks, his movents would be limited, unable to close the distance between them.

But when he activated the Quinn Dharma Seal, the situation imdiately changed.

The Quinn Dharma Seal spread around him as if it were a part of Roger’s body, with every little change perceptible to him.

The Longsword deftly flicked, poked, slashed, defended!

Three attacks, three different styles, Roger executed them effortlessly, and even while attacking, his movent remained unrestricted.

After blocking three attacks, Roger moved and reduced the distance between him and Henrik to within twenty ters.

This was already a very dangerous distance. Henrik didn’t choose to retreat but shook his wrist, turning the bow blade into a curved knife to block the incoming strike.

Clang!

Sparks flew, and a terrible force transmitted through the knife, causing Henrik’s eyes to bulge.

“WTF!”

“What’s going on?”

“Haven’t you just beco Transcendent recently?”

Roger smiled.

“I rember soone once told that Transcendents are not all the sa.”

He increased the strength in his hands and a glint of sharpness burst from his eyes, “You’re going to lose!”

Henrik wanted to retreat but found that Roger’s Steel Sword was like a venomous snake that clung to bone, impossible to evade. With resolve hardening in his heart, he prepared to forcefully engage with both hands on his dagger.

But just at that mont, Roger’s style changed again, and a torrent of violent power surged forth. Too late to change his tactic, they clashed fiercely.

Bang!

Henrik was sent flying backward, and before he could regain control of his posture, Roger was already charging towards him.

As he landed, the Steel Sword was already at his neck.

“In cold weapon combat, you stand no chance,” Roger declared.

“What exactly did you do in your training?” Henrik asked.

“The first ti we t, your dagger skills were still quite immature.”

“That was months ago, wasn’t it?”

“It’s terrifying, considering only cold weapon fighting skills, there are very few among your peers who could be your match.”

“I suppose only soone from Sunrise could find a swordsman on par with you.”

Despite his clean defeat by Roger, Henrik seed quite happy.

He sheathed his curved dagger back into his backpack.

“My attack is too strong. Once I release it, even I can’t control it. Let’s consider this a pass.”

“I’ll give you so face for helping out,” Henrik said generously with a wave of his hand.

“I only used 60% of my strength just now. It’s not surprising you could beat .”

“When I’ve recovered, we’ll find an opportunity to spar again,” he said.

Roger was well aware of Henrik’s mannerisms; he didn’t bother to argue. Henrik’s strength had increased significantly, and with his help, the operation they had in mind now had better odds of success.

After returning, Henrik quickly got his things together and left Bordeaux, while Roger was busy on his own—gathering intelligence and solidifying his own strength.

Four days passed in the blink of an eye, and Roger had successfully completed the cultivation of the second Ouroboros. However, this ti, when he reversed the Dharma Seal and activated it, the energy suddenly condensed and then quickly dissipated.

“It failed?”

Roger was montarily stunned. He carefully studied the internal structure of the Axis Dharma Seal and discovered that although the external circuits of the Dharma Seal were identical, inside,

the two seals differed fundantally.

It wasn’t hard to understand why.

One was used to manipulate fire, while the other to bewitch the mind, completely contradictory.

On the last day before the 10-day deadline, Henrik finally returned to Bordeaux as promised, bringing good news to Roger.

He had t with Mr. Sean and inford him of everything he had witnessed in New Moon City. Although Sean didn’t fully believe what Henrik said, he still planned to secretly co to Bordeaux.

But before that, he needed to arrange so disguises.

anwhile, Dickinson in New Moon City had also made preparations.

“The master has fallen into slumber, so this ritual will be different from the past. We cannot afford mistakes in any part of it,” Dickinson said as he glanced at the few people in the room.

“Zaru, tomorrow you will join .”

“If Roger doesn’t cooperate as we hope, then we’ll have to resort to the second plan, though it will result in so loss of soul energy.”

“Gaga…” A strange laugh sounded.

“I enjoy this work.”

“After absorbing his soul, can you give his body?” the shadow queried.

A figure appeared.

“The last witch was too tender, a bit too rich for my taste.”
