Chapter 242: Chapter 242 rmaid’s Song Chapter 242: Chapter 242 rmaid’s Song “A rmaid?”

Upon hearing everyone’s description, the first creature Roger thought of was this.

The young man speaking couldn’t help but shudder, “rmaids, they’re just creatures from fairy tales, right?”

“The thing we saw, from behind, it indeed looked a lot like the rmaids in fairy tales, but from the front…”

“It was a complete monster!”

“Green skin, eyes bulging out like a fish, mouth taking up half the face, and the mouth was full of sharp teeth!”

“Stop it, please just stop!”

The first girl to climb onto the boat was holding her head and screaming loudly.

“One of our companions was killed by her.”

“We watched as its mouth opened like a giant python, and then… swallowed the whole head in one bite.”

“Crack!”

“Just one bite and the neck was snapped…”

“I told you to stop!”

The girl in the bikini scread and lunged forward, flailing her arms wildly, scratching the young man’s face.

“The one who died was her boyfriend.”

Several people separated the two fighting, and a girl sitting beside Roger whispered an explanation.

“Not a Murloc?”

Roger was slightly startled.

To be honest, if these young people had encountered Murlocs on the island, he would not have found it strange.

Because part of the Murlocs had left the island during the initial attack.

A rmaid?

That was a bit odd.

“It didn’t continue to attack you?”

Listening to their story, the creature seed much more powerful in combat than the Murlocs he had encountered.

The girl sitting next to Roger shook her head.

“The creature didn’t co ashore; in fact, it used its singing to attract us.”

“He?”

Roger caught the girl’s description of the creature’s gender.

“I guess it must be a male,” said the girl, glancing at Roger. “He’s too ugly.”

While saying this, she gestured at her chest, “And doesn’t have these.”

Roger followed her gaze downwards.

Uh… that should be the size Henrik likes.

A creature that lured humans with its singing and had a structure similar to that of a rmaid?

Could this thing co from the sa place as the Murlocs once did?

As he pondered, he maneuvered the boat away from the island and contacted Baytown’s mariti rescue team using the equipnt aboard the ship.

“Aren’t you taking us back?”

The girl in the bikini asked, puzzled.

“I have work to finish here, but don’t worry, I’ve already notified the rescue team; they’ll be here soon,”

Roger stopped the boat and sent his location.

The encounter of the young people added an elent of anticipation to Roger’s upcoming exploration. If he could find that creature, perhaps he could trace it back to its lair…

Ti flew by quickly, and before long, the mariti rescue team’s boat arrived.

“Aren’t you coming with us?”

The girl who had sat next to Roger asked again.

Roger shook his head.

“I have my own work to do.”

“Alright, be careful by yourself, and stay away from there after nightfall.”

The girl, seemingly reminded of sothing, asked a rescue worker for so paper and a pen.

“My na is Mira, and this is my number.”

The girl blushed, “If you make it back to the coast safely, please rember to call …”

“If I don’t receive your call within three days, I’ll send soone here to look for you. You saved my life, and I don’t want you to be in danger.”

Roger felt warmth in his heart.

The girl was afraid of him encountering danger here.

“Don’t forget to call.”

Before parting, the girl still repeatedly urged him.

Watching as everyone’s boat left, Roger dropped the anchor, donned his diving gear, and dived into the sea.

The pressure underwater was terrifying, but Roger’s physical condition was already at a monster level, and with the additional bonus from Hunter’s Cabin, his speed in the water was incredibly fast.

His combat strength had decreased sowhat, but he was still much stronger than an ordinary Demon Hunter.

Throughout the afternoon, Roger dived repeatedly, depleting several oxygen tanks, but to no avail.

Seeing that it was getting dark and the sun disappearing over the horizon, Roger took off his gear and hastily ate sothing.

Having no other choice, he decided to try his luck on the island above; the experiences of these young people had given him an additional idea.

In so ways, it saved him a lot of trouble.

The sky grew darker and darker as the sun completely vanished and darkness fell all around, while a fog began to rise from the sea.

Even the bright moonlight piercing through the clouds was unable to penetrate this eerie mist.

Roger’s eyes had already turned into weird vertical pupils, which the fog could not obscure. Before he even started the boat, it was already slowly moving forward on its own.

“Interesting.”

Instead of rashly diving into the sea to check, he slowly approached the rail, his pupils contracting to the size of needle points. Through the deep seawater, he could make out a vague shadow swimming underneath.

The chain attached to the anchor had snapped.

The boat moved very slowly, and with a bit of fog rising on the sea, it was nearly impossible to notice if you weren’t paying close attention.

“Should I start the engine and help it out?”

After so thought, Roger dismissed the idea.

If the creature beneath the ship was the very one that had attacked Mira and the others, then all he had to do was wait with patience and he would surely learn the creature’s purpose.

As ti passed, finally, the bottom of the boat hit the coastal reef with a ‘bang’ and stopped.

Before Roger could react, a shadowy figure appeared on the reef by the sea; from Roger’s angle, he could only see the back draped with green hair.

Then, a lodious singing voice ca from afar.

Roger remained cautiously on guard; his spiritual power was very strong, immune to the Monster Spirit’s ntal attacks.

But gradually, Roger noticed sothing off. Despite his mind remaining absolutely calm, his body involuntarily wanted to move.

“No wonder it pushed the boat to shore.”

Roger realized sothing; the creature’s strength was weak, not nearly enough for ntal manipulation. If it sang on the surface,

while those affected would subconsciously want to investigate, the vast sea at night would naturally suppress the body’s instinct with rationality.

Understanding the opponent’s strength, Roger relaxed a lot.

He tore off a piece of iron chain from the boat, jumped down, and as he approached, the singing beca clearer, his blood flow accelerated, and his body inexplicably started to heat up.

“Truly a world of wonders; this creature’s singing affects the body, not the mind.”

He slowly moved forward, the iron chain wrapped around his right hand hanging naturally.

“Ma’am, what are you doing here?”

“Is your boat stranded?” Roger called out with an appearance of eager helpfulness.

The singing abruptly stopped, and then the figure trembled, a faint sound of crying followed.

“Ma’am…”

Roger quickened his steps and continued forward, unaware of the cunning greed filling the protruding fish eyes on the green face.

The monstrous mouth split open, extending all the way to the roots of the ears, with a sticky tongue erging from it.

“Ma’am?”

The call ca again, and just then, the creature, with its fish-tail soaked in sea water, suddenly thrust itself forward with a powerful lunge.

But the mont it turned, it was t with a burst of excruciating pain.

A dark, hard object had slamd into its face!
