Roger felt his consciousness slipping into chaos, the soul seemingly wanting to break free from sothing, while his body was wrapped in warmth.

That enveloping sensation of imrsion felt very familiar, and gradually he regained so sensation in his body.

Besides the physical touch, there was also a faint scent in the air.

"Where am I?"

"How much ti has passed?"

"Did Ophelia leave with her, or send back to Kaer Morhen?" In a daze, he opened his eyes, feeling a weight on his body, as if soone was lying on top of him.

His reaction seed to cause a significant reaction in the other person. In the next mont, his breathing gradually beca heavier, and Roger once again lost sensation in his body.

He knew that his body had beco a vessel, and to reinforce this seal, Ophelia would surely layer it with defenses.

So even now, though he had vanquished the Lord of the Mist within the soul, waking would undoubtedly require so effort.

Indeed.

After that conversation, the Lord of the Mist had willingly given him its Soul Core and then completely vanished.

Recalling its words, Roger could not find peace within himself for a long ti.

"I hope none of this will happen, hope that I’ve won the gamble." Roger thought quietly.

But every ti this happened, the expression of the Lord of the Mist before its disappearance would appear in his mind.

"I know her better than you do; this is a gamble you cannot lose, but simultaneously, it’s a gamble you are bound to lose."

"Rember my words..."

At that mont, he rediscovered his strength and pride; although stepping toward death, it seed more like the ultimate victory.

Like soone breaking through the surface of the water, Roger gasped and opened his eyes.

He instinctively tried to sit up, only to find his entire body bound by a strange force, only his head able to move slightly.

Swish, swish.

The sound of rippling water ca to his ears, warm moisture filled his nostrils.

"Soone is bathing?" This was Roger’s instinctive thought.

Then the wondrous sensation he had just experienced reappeared in his mind, that warmth, heaviness, and breathing.

What is going on?

That woman wouldn’t be...

But it doesn’t make sense?

For the seal? Or simply due to loneliness?

Various thoughts flashed through his mind, Roger slightly tilted his head, his viewpoint limited, only seeing a graceful silhouette through the damp mist.

Swish, swish.

The woman in the mist suddenly turned around, and then Roger felt a shift in space, the mist vanished in an instant, and before him was nothing but a stone wall.

"Is this how you thank ?"

Roger spoke.

"Or do you believe I cannot awaken again?"

As Roger finished his sentence, he felt the constricting force around him suddenly intensify. Ophelia said nothing, but when she appeared again before Roger, she was now wearing a long white robe.

She gripped a thick spike in one hand and raised a golden Warhamr with the other. From her posture, it seed she ant to drive the spike into Roger’s skull.

"Wait!"

In panic, Roger jerked violently!

Clang!

A gust of wind swept past his face, a loud sound booming in his ear. At the last possible mont, Roger dodged Ophelia’s attack. He rolled forward, falling into the warm mist.

His body trembled slightly, and only then did Roger realize that he was completely naked.

And at this mont, Ophelia was already pouncing toward Roger again.

"Stop it!"

Roger growled, thrusting his hands forward forcefully.

Bang!

An invisible barrier crashed into Ophelia, her dress fluttering as she spun and slamd into the wall behind.

Blood trickled from her mouth, and Ophelia seed ready to launch another attack. But this ti, Roger leapt forward in an instant, pinning her beneath him.

"Calm down, listen to !"

From above, Roger stared unyieldingly into Ophelia’s eyes.

"Nassero is dead, the soul extinguished, no longer exists."

Ophelia struggled but surprisingly couldn’t break free from Roger’s hold. After a long silence, she coldly replied, "I don’t believe it."

"You couldn’t have killed him."

"Whether you believe it or not, it’s the truth."

Roger slowly released his grip, cautiously stepping back a few paces, distancing himself from Ophelia.

"How did you do it?"

"That is my Soul World, there he only grew weaker." Roger mumbled.

"Moreover, his soul had significant flaws from the start. You may not have sensed them, but for , such flaws are fatal loopholes in the Soul World."

"So in the end, I won, and he died."

Ophelia was skeptical.

"If you don’t believe, you can now go and check the depths of the Sea of Souls, where the manifestation of the Lord of the Mist’s power exists."

"Now that he’s dead, I believe the Sea of Souls will soon completely dissipate."

After listening to Roger’s words, Ophelia’s eyes flickered, seemingly observing sothing. Monts later, she snapped back, a hint of doubt on her face.

"It has dissipated, it truly has, maybe not long from now, the Sea of Souls will vanish from this plane forever."

She stared at Roger, her eyes hesitant, filled with doubt, "Really dead, he really is dead?!"
