Buzz!

The surrounding Sea of Souls surged as several blurry figures solidified from the void, each bearing an identical face to the Lord of the Mist but with vastly different expressions and deanors.

"Nassero, you actually left them behind."

These were fragnts of the Lord of the Mist himself from past cycles, and it was their existence that allowed him to break through Ophelia’s blockade at the crucial mont.

"This was the unexpected incident, and it strengthens my belief, my belief that I can return ho!"

The Lord of the Mist’s consciousness transmitted forward, then those figures shattered with a boom, having completed their final mission, while the Lord of the Mist, now enveloped in all his power, charged deep into Roger’s soul.

Boom!

The collision of souls stirred the whole Sea of Mist into a tempest. Almost without hesitation, Ophelia ignored the crack on her face and surged to Roger’s side.

Her arm pierced into Roger’s chest like a blade.

This was the last scene Roger witnessed, but by then he no longer had any sentint to lant Ophelia’s coldness and cruelty.

For in the Lord of the Mist’s impact, his soul suffered a severe blow, nearly shattering on the spot, and he soon lost all perception of his body.

Dragged into the Abyss amidst the Lord of the Mist’s maniacal laughter.

"Your soul is mine now!"

Roger’s presence gradually faded, replaced by a strange yet powerful new wave.

Ophelia’s arm rged into Roger’s chest, but she did not strike again; instead, her whole arm seed to blend with Roger’s body.

Agony and struggle surfaced on Roger’s face, his expression shifting from cold to twisted.

"What are you waiting for?"

Roger spoke with the voice of the Lord of the Mist.

"Are you waiting for to rge with this body and then kill ?" sneered the Lord of the Mist.

The next second, the voice abruptly changed tone, "Was this also part of your plan?" It was Roger speaking.

The voice was filled with anger and reluctance.

If everything unfolding before him was predicted by Ophelia, then this woman’s mind was truly terrifying.

"Steady yourself, we haven’t lost yet!"

"Don’t let him affect you." Ophelia said in a deep voice.

"Could I be wrong?"

"After all, this is a rare opportunity to kill ." It was the Lord of the Mist speaking again.

But Ophelia’s expression remained unchanged, though who knows what she was preparing, she continued to encourage Roger.

"Listen to , Roger, you must believe that everything happening now is unexpected, I prefer to execute according to plan, but hate any surprises."

"With your understanding of , it shouldn’t be hard to deduce that the current situation could absolutely not have been part of my plan, it’s too dangerous, failure ans losing everything."

"So you must trust , this was really just an accident!"

"Steady your mind and feel the power I am conveying to you." Ophelia continued to speak endlessly.

"Because of previous lessons, Nassero won’t completely devour your soul, for as long as your body is destroyed, he will die instantly as well."

"Therefore, he will control your body but won’t rge, leaving your soul forever as a bystander."

Ophelia took a deep breath.

"Think of your friends and lovers, if he gained all your mories and appeared before them in your identity..."

Here she suddenly stopped speaking, for the implications were clear enough to imagine with a normal sense of imagination.

"I’m not that boring."

The Lord of the Mist spoke again.

"It’s really a pity we couldn’t be on the sa side, but it’s also not too late now."

"I admit I underestimated you before, thinking you were just sothing slightly stronger than an ant, but now your strength has earned my recognition."

"So give up resisting, I promise to grant you great freedom, even allowing you to leave with your friends. You needn’t worry about the things Ophelia described happening."

"After all, I was once a king, with my own dignity, and now I only wish to return to my kingdom, do not hinder , we can be friends."

"Hehe, to beco friends with a Demon Hunter and a powerful Chaos Sorcerer, hmm..."

"All you have to do is open your mind."

"Don’t believe his words."

"Your friends can’t go anywhere, they’re not like you, the planar travel is enough to kill them all, more importantly, leaving here at the cost of everyone’s death, will they still be happy?"

Hearing this, Roger’s expression suddenly froze.

After a mont, he reopened his eyes, and they regained temporary clarity.

"You won, tell , what should I do?!"

An expression of delight appeared on Ophelia’s face, "Allow your body to accept , our bodies share the sa origin, the only difference is that you haven’t reached the limit, nor can you be as pure as I am."

"So, actively accept , and I will help you seal him, sealing him within your body."

"And what about ?"

"I’m sorry." Ophelia shook her head.

"On this matter, I have no need to deceive you, the confrontation of souls is extrely perilous, I can’t seal him and release you."

"So you will be eternally confined in this body with him."

"Heh." Roger couldn’t resist a cold sneer.

"Is this also a kind of soul death in a sense?"

"If you insist on thinking that, then yes."
