"Hehe, you talk a good ga, but your body is quite honest."
Jora sneered at Roger, full of disdain.
"Sister, he must have a reason he can’t ignore." Dora held her sister back and gave Roger a reassuring look.
It was hard to imagine that after being imprisoned for so long, Dora’s soul was completely healed because of a girl.
Roger sighed. He indeed wanted to stay, but until the crisis was completely resolved, staying in one place for too long would only bring disaster.
And this reason couldn’t be explained to anyone.
"Adela will need so ti to get through her juvenile period. Just rember your promise from before, and hopefully, you can return before she awakens."
Dora appeared much more forgiving.
Roger nodded and said nothing more as he walked forward into the core area of the branch base.
With the previous experiences, Roger easily established another branch base in Erode.
Now he could leave Erode without breaking through the World Fog.
His body was swallowed by light, and at the very last mont before disappearing, a slightly cold voice reached his ears.
"Don’t die out there, you still owe !!"
Roger suddenly turned around, only to see Jora’s face as cold as ever, but in that fleeting mont, he noticed an unusual glint in Jora’s eyes.
He chuckled, unable to respond before his body was completely consud.
"He’s gone, let’s go back." After an unknown amount of ti, a voice awakened Jora from her reverie, and Jora shook her head slightly in a panic.
"Of course I know he’s gone, I was just thinking about how to avoid coming in next ti."
This excuse was clumsy, and even Jora felt extrely embarrassed.
"Are you sure that’s your real thought?" Looking at her sister’s flustered face, Dora couldn’t help but find it a bit amusing.
"Of course it’s true!" Jora still defended herself, but soon she was defeated under her sister’s gaze and had to look away.
"Let’s go back, Adela still needs company, humph, she’s a pesky little thing, hasn’t t him yet but shows such imnse affection for that guy."
Jora’s face showed clear jealousy.
The two of them leapt upwards, but at the last mont, Jora couldn’t help but glance back.
She wasn’t sure what she was feeling, only that she subconsciously didn’t want that guy to die.
"If he dies, Adela would be sad, right?" Jora silently consoled herself.
anwhile, after several twists and turns, once again stepping into the territory of the Silver Dragon Clan, Roger couldn’t shake off the emotions of parting.
His mind was filled with that small silhouette and the soft voice that filled his heart.
"I will return, I promise!"
At this mont, Roger found his entire sense of belonging.
Continuing to move, Roger used the connections within the world to enter the Ancestral Land.
After being away for days, the Ancestral Land looked significantly different from before.
Everyone’s expressions were grim, and they moved hurriedly, giving a hint of unease.
Not long after Roger appeared, soone blocked his way, and during the negotiation, a flash of light passed by in the distance, along with a familiar voice.
"Stand down, Mr. Roger is our esteed guest from the Silver Dragon Clan..."
"My lord, the Saint!" The transcendent beings around bowed respectfully, and Roger turned to see the imposing Kenneth.
And behind Kenneth was Tiffany, with whom he had interacted a few tis.
Kenneth was indeed sentintal, going to great lengths to find Tiffany’s world and bring her here.
Draped in a lavish robe and crowned with the Saint’s crown, Kenneth looked youthful in appearance, but his deanor was steady, exuding an air of authority.
"Old friend, so it was you Fasco was talking about."
"Welco to you, Mr. Roger, welco to becoming a mber of the Dragon Court."
Kenneth smiled, "Thanks to your help, I am now an official mber."
Roger smiled, casually offering a few complints, but a hint of doubt flickered in his eyes.
Although the position seed rightfully his, truth be told, considering Kenneth’s current power, becoming one of the Twelve Dragon Envoys was sowhat inadequate.
Recalling so things Fasco had said, Roger quickly realized that the situation in the Dragon Court was likely worse than imagined, needing Kenneth to fill a vacancy.
"Where’s Fasco, where is he?"
"The situation is a bit complicated. Let’s talk as we walk."
Kenneth led Roger into the palace, "The forces of the Lord of the Mist launched a full-scale counterattack. For countless years, they have expanded their Soul Realm by various ans, absorbing a vast number of souls."
"They then used these souls to forge terrifying war machines, which seem almost endless. As the killing increased, the number of broken Soul Shards got replenished."
"From low to high levels, the forces of the Lord of the Mist have swollen to a frightening state." Kenneth sighed.
"During this ti, I t with Lord Fasco a few tis, and each ti he appeared injured. Additionally, among the Twelve Dragon Envoys, there were varying degrees of casualties."
"In the peripheral worlds, it might not be noticeable, but more than half of the worlds not under the Dragon Court’s protection have been dragged into war."
"I’ve never seen such a situation, not even in the records of the Dragon Canon."
