"Quick, there’s a battle up ahead!"

Three or five figures swiftly swept past, soon arriving at the site of Roger’s earlier battle. By the ti they reached it, they were t with devastation.

The ground was ruptured, and around lay the pale bodies of the Bone Guard. Amidst the ruins, they found a headless corpse.

"Could this be Lord Patrick?"

A knight with a thick beard trembled as he spoke.

"Lord Patrick is dead?"

"And the three powerful attendants as well."

"What exactly happened here? Even the three Bone Guard lords couldn’t withstand it?" soone questioned, puzzled.

As they spoke, they vigilantly scanned the surroundings.

"What should we do now?" Everyone looked towards the bearded leader.

"This is beyond our handling capacity, inform Lord Ares." The bearded man looked worried.

The group exchanged glances and nodded, then planned to use a special thod to contact Ares, who was far away in the Ancestral Land.

But just as they were about to act, a strange noise suddenly ca from behind them.

It was as if so sort of soft-bodied creature was slowly crawling out from a cavity.

"What are you doing?" A sharp voice pierced their ears, sounding like thousands of insects crawling through their minds.

The bearded man swiftly turned around and then saw Patrick’s corpse shakily sitting up.

At his neck, a mass of black, viscous, snake-like substance was slowly wriggling.

The bearded man focused his gaze and saw that the snake-like thing was growing from Patrick’s chest cavity. As his body swayed, it wobbled back and forth, then a tumor-like formation erged at its tip.

The surface sli was carelessly peeled away, and the ball-like object gradually beca clear, revealing blurred facial features.

"You are..."

Everyone drew their weapons.

"Don’t be nervous, it’s , Patrick."

"I was attacked and had no choice but to use this thod to escape the crisis. Give so more ti to recover."

Upon hearing Patrick’s words, their expressions relaxed slightly. The bearded man stepped forward willingly.

"Get closer and help up, and remain on guard."

Patrick’s facial features were incomplete, and his voice was sowhat vague. Hearing him, the group imdiately beca tense again.

The bearded man supported Patrick’s body, while the others ford a circle, guarding Patrick at the center.

"Sir, what should we do now?"

"Were only you few able to co?" Patrick answered irrelevantly.

"Yes." The bearded man scanned the surroundings and nodded, "The commotion here has attracted everyone’s attention. The other Dragon Iron Guard are on defense, obstructing their investigation."

"Oh...that’s good." Patrick let out a long breath, then suddenly raised his voice sharply.

"Be careful, on the right!" he shouted loudly.

Hearing him, the group instinctively looked to the right. But at that mont, Patrick launched a sudden attack.

First, he reached out and pierced the bearded man’s forehead. Then, his body spun, a brilliant silver light swept through, and the Dragon Iron Guard surrounding him were all cut in half at the waist.

They only managed to let out a scream before Patrick launched another attack, instantly piercing through everyone’s skulls!

From the start of his attack to its end, it was but a fleeting mont, and by then, except for the bearded man, who still had one breath left, everyone else had already died violently.

"Sir...you’re not Lord Patrick!"

The bearded man looked terrified, but Patrick’s gaze was cold as he stepped forward and crushed the bearded man’s skull.

"Bla yourself for seeing what you shouldn’t have seen."

Patrick held his head.

After finishing everything, he released his energy, carefully inspecting the surroundings until he confird there was no one else hidden nearby, then let out a long breath.

At this mont, a faint energy fluctuation ca from the bracelet on his left hand. Patrick’s expression shifted slightly. He scrutinized his body’s condition until his facial features fully restored to normal, then he activated the energy fluctuation on the bracelet.

"Why did it take so long?"

Ares’s voice ca through.

Patrick looked terrified and then recounted what had happened.

"What?"

"Kenneth is accompanied by an unknown strong force, a First Ring Dragon Sorcerer?"

Ares’s shadow slowly appeared.

"I’m not sure about the opposite party’s lineage, but he’s wearing the armor left by Emil after his death," Patrick said, trembling.

"Fool!"

"Didn’t I tell you to stabilize the situation?"

"Look at the ss you’ve made!"

Even as a re illusion, Patrick could imagine Ares’s anger at that mont.

"I...I was simply worried that Kenneth using that armor would disrupt our plans." Patrick defended himself.

"If you weren’t my son, I’d surely kill you myself!" Ares’s gaze revealed a chilling murderous intent.

"Well...since it’s happened, find a way to resolve it." Then, Ares shifted his tone.

"The others died, so be it. How about you?"

Patrick gasped, "Barely managed to save my life."

"By the way, what’s the actual combat power level of that guy nad Roger?" Ares suddenly asked.

"Very strong, but the three Bone Guards could still barely contend with him," Patrick’s eyes flickered slightly.

"Kenneth was gravely injured, so I’m not sure if the power Roger displayed is his true strength."
