"What are you standing there for? Get to work!"
After a roar, a dozen won in brown robes erged from every corner of the room.
Their movents were uniform and synchronized, and in an instant, a massive array was ford.
Thud!
Roger caught a giant’s heavy hamr with his bare hands, his stature unmoved, and even the ground beneath him remained untouched.
But soon Roger’s expression changed slightly, and the movents of his forearm slowed, as if a mountain was pressing upon it.
"This is just the beginning!"
The surrounding attacks rained down like a torrential storm, and Roger found his movents growing progressively sluggish. Just as he was about to harness the power of the earth for a transfer.
The ground beneath him completely changed color, and the surrounding decorations vanished instantly. Rock was replaced by tal, turning the entire hall into a tal cage!
"Your power cos from the earth."
"Then ascend to the heavens!"
A voice roared, and then with a tremor, the tal palace lifted off the ground.
Although Gusman and the others could not appear here directly, they could manifest a portion of their power through the soul weapon.
Gusman, true to his title of the Mountain of Steel, cut off Roger’s connection to the earth while the tal palace floated in mid-air.
And then, Tristramy’s attack descended simultaneously.
"I’ve been waiting for you for a long ti!"
The masks on all the won’s faces shattered simultaneously, with the broken fragnts gathering into Tristramy’s face. Yet where the eyes should have been, there were two deep voids.
"Give it back to , give back what’s mine!"
Tristramy bellowed furiously.
"To intertwine your fate with Olivia’s, to guide you eventually to this place, do you know the price I’ve paid?"
"I know."
Facing Tristramy’s assault, Roger responded calmly.
Yet this re ordinary sentence made Tristramy’s enormous face pause slightly, nearly unable to maintain its form.
Then she heard a response that made her hair stand on end.
"This is the place you chose, and also mine!"
The smile on Roger’s face blood, but Tristramy’s heart sank to the bottom.
"Impossible, even if you’ve devoured my power, it doesn’t matter, I’m the manipulator of fate, you cannot..."
"You’re lying!"
"It’s no longer important." Roger shook his head.
In fact, once the fate coin fully rged with the Hunter’s Cabin, Roger had already gained more strength.
Furthermore, the unity of body and soul significantly enhanced his control power.
And that was why he could leave Emil’s hidden place and return to the manor with Chloe and the others.
Otherwise, he would constantly be on guard against Tristramy’s surveillance, needing to be cautious of the interference from the power of fate on Chloe and others.
Yet this wasn’t the end.
For the enemy lurking in the shadows, Roger had to prioritize neutralizing them, letting it go would only be fine for himself.
But since coming to this world, ordinary people connected to him would slowly be found by Tristramy.
And then perish one by one under her influence.
If Roger wanted to find Tristramy, besides seeking information from Olivia, there were actually other routes.
But the bonds of fate would co into play at this mont.
Even if Roger would choose other thods, the final outco would still end in failure.
Thus, under the influence of fate, he would reach a predetermined point.
And this point was what Tristramy had determined, hoping for Roger to arrive at.
But like Roger said, while Tristramy was preparing, Roger also complied with her plan.
It seed like he fell into a trap.
But in reality, he was well-prepared.
Though it must be admitted, without the Hunter’s Cabin having devoured half of the power, Tristramy would have been very troubleso.
Her power would be stronger, her range of influence wider.
anwhile, Roger had no ans to counterbalance it.
In fact, Roger’s control over the fate coin was passive, he rely followed Tristramy’s plan.
One in the open, one in the shadows.
But for Roger, that was enough.
Swish!
The next mont, Roger’s figure vanished into thin air, causing all of Tristramy and the others’ attacks to miss.
"He can’t escape; the ritual has already comnced, it won’t be long before his soul is pulled into the Soul Realm!"
Tristramy’s gigantic face responded calmly.
"That may not be the case."
Roger’s figure appeared beside Olivia.
The surrounding energy was rampant, and under such circumstances, naturally, no one paid attention to Olivia’s safety, so even if there was a defense plan, Olivia suffered a slight injury.
Roger reached out, his palm pressed down on Olivia like a mountain.
"Teacher..." Olivia’s voice trembled, but then four giant steel bodies fell from the sky, with their massive weapons ignoring Olivia’s pleas.
From start to finish, she never heard any care or restraint from Tristramy.
The critical mont had arrived, and with just a little more effort, they could complete the plan. Tristramy could no longer bother with disguises.
"Yumit, you damned fool!"
"If you don’t act now, Gusman and I will tear you apart!"
"I promise, for the rest of your life, you will bear the most vicious curses!"
Tristramy was enraged to the core.
They had prepared everything, and now all they needed to do was stall Roger and then wait for the Array to activate.
Olivia looked lifeless; moving under Roger’s suppression was already a luxury.
As the massive hamr was about to pierce her, a voice whispered in her ear.
"Despair?"
"I can save you, just tell the hidden location of the Array!"
This was Olivia’s manor, and no matter how careful Tristramy and the others were, so actions couldn’t be hidden from her.
Hearing Roger’s words, a glimr of light flickered in Olivia’s eyes but quickly extinguished completely.
She said nothing, rely closed her eyes, prepared to embrace imminent death.
Being so close, Roger could feel Olivia’s sorrow, but even so, she did not betray Tristramy at that mont.
"Very well."
Roger smiled and released his hand, and just as Olivia thought she was about to et her end, a frail body shielded her.
Caught in the battle of Fifth Tier Transcendents, even Olivia could only beco cannon fodder.
Energy surged.
Watching Roger’s frail back, all emotion disappeared from Olivia’s eyes; she stepped forward, pressing tightly against Roger’s back.
"Not here, they are hidden in..."
"Shut up!"
Tristramy’s face turned monstrously fierce, and suddenly Olivia’s body went rigid, with blood pouring from her eyes, mouth, and nose.
"Go to hell!"
"Did you think I would leave such a glaring flaw?"
A shadow appeared on Olivia’s face, but Roger swatted it away casually.
Clang.
His palm was shrouded in shadow, and the shadow shattered upon contact.
At that mont, Olivia seed to regain so clarity; she coughed up blood but still insisted on conveying the most crucial information.
"So that’s how it is."
Boom.
With Roger’s sigh, the vicinity of the manor suddenly erupted in a series of collisions.
Tristramy’s face changed drastically.
"From such a distance, and with him being in a cage, how is it possible?"
Roger smiled without a word.
At that mont, a strong figure appeared out of thin air in the sky.
He had short black hair and handso features.
Most importantly, the boiling aura of blood around his body!
Swoosh!
Even though Roger had promptly destroyed the structures nearby, the ritual that Tristramy and the others had long prepared formally started.
Within the tal cage, Roger’s body stiffened and then slowly collapsed, but Tristramy’s face showed no excitent.
Because just before the ritual started, that body had already beco an empty shell.
Roger stood in the void with outstretched hands.
Accompanied by a harsh grinding sound, the tal-constructed hall began to twist, then was torn open and completely shattered by the terrifying power of space.
With a wave of his hand, Olivia and the frail body vanished; Roger turned and punched, an invisible shockwave sweeping across the scene.
Bam, bam, bam.
Familiar screams echoed; Yumit was shredded to pieces the mont he appeared.
Then Roger descended from the sky, staring at the enormous face of Tristramy.
"Now it’s your turn!"
