When they returned to the filming location, it was already evening. They had discussed in length a great deal about Brooke and Dylan’s role, and ended up turning their discussion into a full blown strategy eting.

Upon their arrival, they were told that president Lucas was around, and he ca with a new sponsor for their movie. One who made an alarming contribution.

New sponsor? Brooke couldn’t believe what she was hearing. With her husband already pouring an unholy amount of money into this film, who else was willing to take a gamble with this movie?

"Brooke, Dylan, you two can go ho. Sort out your living conditions tonight-" the director was saying before he got interrupted by a summon from a staff mber.

"Director, president Lucas is asking for you, alongside the leading actors, he’s with our new sponsor as well. But Sadie and Damien have already left, we’re trying to call them but no one is answering." They explained.

Brooke furled her lips, ’Why was Sadie not answering?’ she took out her phone and tried to call her, but just like the staff said, her cell was switched off.

"It’s fine, I’ll go by myself-"

"But sir, the president heavily insisted you co with the lead actors." Insisted the staff mber, judging by the serious look on their face, he assud that the situation was serious.

The last thing he wanted was to upset the sponsor. Turning around he said to Brooke and Dylan, "You two, co with , let’s go greet the sponsor."

Brooke interjected, "Would that be appropriate-" but her words were cut short by the sudden arrival of the president from the nearby hotel, with a taller man in his company, assumably the new sponsor.

At first glance, Brooke couldn’t help but think, ’He’s younger than I expected.’ perhaps he was rich, and maybe soone in Thane’s circle he might know.

She noticed the stares pointed at him from all angles, from where she stood she could hear the staff mbers and extras gushing over the young sponsor.

Director Flynn imdiately made his way to them, eting them halfway.

"You didn’t need to co all the way here, I was on my way to see you." Said the director, signalling his crew to get seats for them.

Lucas replied sounding helpless, "He insisted on checking the set and eting the talents personally."

The director could tell from his tone that Lucas must’ve tried everything he could to have stopped him from coming out. After all Sadie and Damien were nowhere to be seen.

Inserting himself into the conversation, he asked, taking an obvious survey of the area, "Speaking of talents, may I et with the-" he stopped himself when his eyes fell on the dark haired beauty that stood out, the one from the article he had read about last night.

Lucas and Flynn directed their gazes to the object of his attention, and found themselves gazing at Brooke.

"Isn’t she a part of the leading actors? Call her over, I’d like to et with her." He said to them, his eyes still pointed at Brooke.

Lucas rolled his tongue around his mouth. ’Why is this rich kid looking for Thane Grayson’s woman?’ he cringed at the thought.

But the director wasted no ti, he had a staff mber call Brooke over, hoping to distract him long enough for Sadie and Damien to co back.

As she advanced over, Lucas swiftly tried to explain, "Brooke is just a side character, she also a rookie, with this film as her acting debut...." His attempt to smooth things over were turned futile when Brooke ca over and this was what the sponsor said to her.

"I’d like to talk with her in private." He announced all of a sudden.

Lucas and Flynn exchanged all knowing looks at each other. They were in film business long enough to know what this was all about. Naturally, they had no choice but to call the hotel and arrange a room for Brooke and the sponsor to et.

But before he did, he excused himself to make a quick call to soone...

Once the arrangents were made, a staff mber led them to the assigned room, they left the key card in Brooke’s hands, and then closed the door after them.

Hearing the door close, Brooke took a huge breath, inhaling all her anxiety, in a sharp exhale she forced a smile and asked politely, "You said you wanted to speak with sir?"

Taking a seat on the bed, he told her, "You can drop the sir, just call Kayden." He flung one leg over the other, then took another scrutinizing look at her.

To himself he thought, ’She’s definitely better looking than Cassie. How could soone like her not get picked up sooner?’ he found it absurd to hear that this was her debut film, when soone like Cassie had won the actress of the year award.

Brooke shook her head, "No, I possibly couldn’t!" Changing the topic she swiftly said, "Thank you for your support for this movie, I promise to deliver a good performance."

Kayden strictly said, "You’d better, I’m betting good money on you." he noticed how stiff she looked standing so close to the door. He hissed, just realizing how uncomfortable the situation must’ve seed for her.

"Hey, I’m not going to do anything to you, that’s not why I wanted to speak with you in private." He flat out told her.

In return, Brooke asked, "Then why did you insist on speaking with ?" She got the impression that he was telling the truth, but that realization made her more on edge over his actual intentions.

Answering her he said, "I actually wanted to discuss soone you’re well aquatinted with."

Soone she was well aquatinted with? Did he actually know Thane? Had she been found out already?

"Who are you referring to?" She inquired.

"Cassie Crane."

He straightened his posture, in a cleared tone he went on to reveal his intentions, "I want you to tell everything I could use against Cassie and ruin her career completely."
