Staying true to her words, Brooke called Hannah and asked her to arrange clothes for her to spend the night at the hospital.

Shocked by the recent developnt, Hannah wasted no second to step out and buy sothing for her to wear. She at first asked Gilbert to accompany her, but he had errands to run for Thane.

However, when Hannah arrived at the parking lot, she saw Matthew, standing in front of the car she drove to the hospital. On sight, she turned to leave.

"Hannah." Matthew called out, already sighting her.

She cursed under her breath, "For fuck’s sake." She turned around, forcing the fakest smile onto her lips. "What do you want from ?"

He approached her and reached for her hand, but she sharply retracted it.

"I wanted to talk, and air things out between us." He told her.

Hannah scoffed, "Matthew, we have nothing to talk about, you made that very clear a long ti ago."

He sighed, a pained expression in his eyes. "I know, and I regret what I said back then every single day. But right now, I just need soone to talk to. Please." he pleaded, knowing she wouldn’t budge.

"Fine. But you’re driving." She said, leaving Matthew stunned.

He looked at her, waiting to hear her say no, but she simply walked over to his car, showing off that she knew which it was.

"What? Do you want to change my mind?" She snapped at him, Matthew shook his head and went after her, a broad grin on his face.

"Han, I don’t think this is the ideal place to have a conversation." Matthew voiced out, his eyes glued at the female mannequins all around him.

Hannah narrowed her eyes, "Hannah." She strictly said, looking through a rack of clothes.

Matthew let out a huff. "I’m the only guy here, everyone is looking at ."

Hannah sent him a sharp glare, "Is this how you want to spend your ti? Talking about nonsense?"

He stuffed his hands in his pockets, "I know, I know, it’s just...embarrassing." He muttered the last bit, keeping his eyes to the ground.

Hannah ignored him and took the initiative to ask, "So? What did you want to talk about? You seed genuinely worried about sothing, or is that just an act? You always were really good at that-"

"I think I might have to get married." Matthew said, cutting her off.

The dress in her hands fell miserably to the ground, Matthew quickly crouched down to pick it up. Only for Hannah to crouch down and aggressively pull on his ear.

"Tell you’re joking." She said, still in a squat.

Matthew closed one eye, "I’m still thinking it through, that’s why I wanted to talk to you-"

"What innocent girl’s life are you trying to ruin?!" She scolded.

"Ah! Stop, you’ll rip the damn thing off, Han." He groaned, earning so stares in their direction.

"What do you an married? You barely have your shit together, and now you want to make that sort of commitnt? Ugh! Thinking about it is giving goosebumps." She clicked his tongue.

So concerned shoppers quickly alerted the staff, and had them co over to quell the commotion.

"Sir? Madam? Is everything okay?" The concerned manager looked down at them, her brow raised.

A custor had told her that a guy was in the won’s section harassing a custor. But, when she looked at the situation, she wondered who was really harassing who.

Hannah took her hand off Mathew’s ear and got up, "Yes, everything is fine." she said, grinning from ear to ear.

Matthew got up, rubbing his ear, looking like a child who just got scolded by his mother. The manager exchanged quick glances between the two of them, then said, with a smile on her face.

"Ah, I see." She blushed, "You two should please tone it down a bit, so custors were worried."

Hannah and Matthew both frowned, wondering what this woman had gone and assud was going on.

Watching her leave, Hannah sighed and dropped her shoulders. "You have my attention, and you’re right, this obviously isn’t sothing we can discuss here. Co with ." She said, then guided him towards the fitting room.

So ladies widened their eyes when they saw Hannah and Matthew step into a room together and gasped at the sound of the lock turning after them.

Inside, Hannah sat on the sofa, and crossed her legs, "So, what’s the deal with this marriage thing? Did your parents finally get you too?"

He shook his head, "I feel responsible, for soone, and I want to help them."

Hannah laughed, "How odd it sounds, to hear you take responsibility for sothing."

Matthew’s countenance fell, "I know-"

"No, you don’t know. You’re a selfish bastard, who is jealous of everything about his brother, to the point that you’d hurt the people who care-" she took a pause, her voice already trembling.

"The people who used to care, just for so sort of validation. So no Matthew, I doubt you can begin to understand how mind boggling it is to hear you say you want to take responsibility for sothing, you did. When all you know how to do is screw people over." She spat out.

Before Matthew could a word, she hissed, "Why did you even co looking for ? To brag that you’re finally doing so much better? That you’ve finally moved on with your life? Did you want to say go ahead, no hard feelings-" right in the middle of her words, Matthew charged towards her, and pinned her arms over her head.

Keeping her eyes on him, he confessed, "You want to know the truth? Fine. The only reason I ca to you is because I wanted to hear it from you."

Hannah kicked and struggled, "What are you talking about? You’re not making any sense!"

"I wanted to hear you tell not to get married to soone else. I wanted you to get mad at ." He freed her wrists and rested his head on her shoulder, inhaling her scent.

"Han," he moaned softly. "I don’t want to lose you."
