Nemus half-closed his eyes, his ears filled with the shifting murmurs of various faiths.

The Construct Protocol was already showing preliminary results.

A number of Nominal Believers, and even so True Believers, had begun to erge.

Take the leader of the Black Star Gang, for example. His mindset was incredibly simple: he would place his faith in whoever gave him power.

To a certain extent, he had beco a True Believer even faster than the protocol mbers.

As for these people, beyond their daily prayers, whenever they used their power or desired more of it, they would chant the na of the God of Fiction.

Although the Power of Faith provided by these fleeting thoughts was relatively small, the sheer frequency made up for it. Over the course of a year, the faith harvested from them would exceed a standard unit.

"It is just a bit troubleso to process," Nemus murmured. He was growing increasingly proficient at handling faith.

First, he categorized the incoming faith based on their Impure Thoughts into several major groups: those seeking power, those seeking change, those trying to fill an inner void, and so on.

Then, according to the category, he would establish the corresponding Precept agreents. Through this thod, he could purify the faith.

Even so, despite possessing two and a half souls, Nemus still found it sowhat overwhelming to process it all.

"That is why I need to form a standardized module out of this," Nemus concluded. He was currently purifying the faith manually, but his goal was to integrate a specific substance into his Divinity to automate the operation.

'I need a soul with sufficient bearing capacity,' Nemus thought. Since he was using his own soul for manual processing, the first thing that ca to mind for automation was utilizing other souls.

With this thought in mind, Nemus pulled out a Small Bottle.

The bottle was crafted from bone and had a few simple runes engraved on its surface.

He then uncorked the bottle, and the substance inside began to ripple.

This liquid-like yet intangible substance was precisely the Demonic Accumulation.

It was condensed from the souls and Vitality extracted by Lesser Demons after slaughtering other lifeforms.

Downs had now beco a professional at demon summoning. In just three days, he had summoned demons over a dozen tis.

Relying on his carefully laid traps, he robbed... no, earned a thirty percent cut from every single demon.

All these newly earned resources were ticulously preserved in Specialized Bone Bottles.

A portion of them was handed over to the mbers of the Construct Protocol for their developnt, while Downs stockpiled another portion for himself.

After so ti, Downs planned to summon the Abyssal Will and work alongside Krog to complete his Demonic Advancent.

The remaining share was delivered straight into Nemus's hands.

He needed to use this Demonic Accumulation for his own research.

Just like right now.

Nemus released his Oath Rope. A massive cluster of thin tendrils spread outward and plunged directly into the Demonic Accumulation.

Following that, Nemus invoked various Traits.

He did not possess any skills in Alchemy or Potioncraft; he only knew so general Spell knowledge, relying on his raw power to interfere and reshape the materials.

The current situation was no exception.

Mimicking his own soul, Nemus used the Oath Rope to mold the form of the Demonic Accumulation. He nad this envisioned perfect creation the Soul Component.

He attempted to inject a kind of chanical reaction chanism into it.

For instance, when a specific type of Power of Faith flowed through, the Soul Component would trigger a reaction, branding it with the corresponding Precept according to the chanism.

That way, he would only need to treat it as a conduit, installing it near his Divinity to synchronize with it. Then, he could simply direct the Power of Faith to flow through this channel.

Unfortunately, while Nemus's theory was simple, the actual execution proved exceptionally difficult.

The Demonic Accumulation contained even more impurities than the Power of Faith. The chanisms Nemus tried to inject using Bloodline Connection, seal attachnts, and Ultimate Control could not operate normally at all.

After Nemus completed the initial structure, he tried feeding a fraction of the Power of Faith into this Prototype Soul Component. However, a problem occurred right at the very first step.

The mont the Power of Faith entered, it frantically stimulated the Prototype Soul Component. The recently molded structure collapsed instantly.

The seals Nemus had constructed using the Oath Rope were completely useless.

Nemus was neither surprised nor discouraged by this failure.

After all, he had long possessed a clear Cognition of his own capabilities.

"Attempting it is always the first step," he whispered.

"Only by taking that first step can one clearly understand where the problem lies and what else is needed to solve it!" Nemus declared, gazing at the ruined ss of the Prototype Soul Component with crystal-clear Cognition.

Moreover, he observed a rather fascinating phenonon.

After the Power of Faith had stimulated the Prototype Soul Component into a violent frenzy, a portion of it had actually rged into the chaotic mass during the outburst.

Nemus brought it closer to his eyes. This small clump of energy had undergone an obvious Nature Transformation.

He tried to sense it, but only detected various traces of an Agitated Psyche swirling within.

"Has it turned into waste?" Nemus realized his own shortcomings once again. His Cognition of various matters was still incomplete.

"That is why I still need to study. I must learn the properties of different materials, perceive their changes, and understand their deeper underlying principles."

"Perhaps Becky can teach ."

"Furthermore, my sealing abilities stem from the Demonic Inheritance and the seal attachnts of the Oath Rope. Fundantally, they are not very strong. I need to enhance these types of abilities as well."

With this Cognition firmly established, Nemus called for Krew.

"Deliver this over there," Nemus ordered, handing the bottle of Waste Liquid to Krew.

"Have them find a..." Nemus trailed off, pausing mid-sentence as if he had just observed sothing incredibly intriguing.

His instructions for Krew shifted at that exact mont.

"Have them use the Inverted Pentagram Ritual Array to seal this substance into a young man nad Fass."

Just a mont ago, Nemus had received another wisp of the Power of Faith.

This particular wisp originated from that very young man, Fass.

He had already reached the level of a True Believer. More importantly, his Power of Faith had ford a direct resonance with this bottle of Waste Liquid.

When Nemus traced it back, he discovered that the Power of Faith he had channeled through the Prototype Soul Component earlier had also co from Fass.

Evidently, this Homogenous Faith Power had triggered a distinct reaction.

As he spoke, Nemus deployed the Oath Rope once more to bind and stabilize the Waste Liquid.

He sculpted it into a solid, fixed form.

After brief consideration, Nemus decided to na this volatile object, which had gone berserk due to the integration of faith, the Berserk Accessory.

Krew accepted the Berserk Accessory and departed without a word.

During his task, he would split off his Double Demon body to secretly deliver the item to the Construct Protocol in the South District.

This would minimize any direct connection between them and the ensuing events to the greatest extent possible.

anwhile, on the other side of town, Fass was drowning in despair, desperately thirsting for power.

Soone had secretly tipped him off earlier. He now knew that his younger sister had been captured by the Rope Gang.

"Boss, please help ! I want to save my family!"

"Follow ." The leader of the Black Star Gang swept his gaze over the surrounding crowd and gave a curt nod.
