At the Dragon Court’s coastal defense line, it was Fisher’s second visit here. The last ti was when Heidlin was forcibly brought by two Demon Servants for a coup. Compared to that ti, the current defense line was under tighter security, and to prevent public panic, they sealed off the place where the demons previously held their ritual.

But because of Moli’s prior endorsent, Fisher encountered hardly any obstacles and brought Emhardt here.

After inquiring with Dragon Court Soldiers on guard, they learned that Holan had been placed in a stone structure within a coastal defense post.

The coastal defense post was a tower-shaped structure about a dozen ters high, with one built every few hundred ters. The defense line was constructed using these stone towers as the fundantal units. This particular stone tower wasn’t far from where Fisher last saw Heidlin. While climbing the tower, Fisher even noticed the giant crimson pit on the distant beach—relics of the failed demon ritual.

"Sir, the Lord Priest arranged for soone to be inside."

"Okay, thank you."

Fisher draped in a Praying Tower robe, wore a cloak to conceal his face, and through the slightly crossed collar at his chest peeked Emhardt’s single eye, surveying the outside world.

After the soldier leading the way turned and left, Fisher gently grasped the door handle. As he slowly pushed it open, an intensely pungent alcoholic aroma poured out from within.

Fisher raised an eyebrow, opened the door wider to let the sll dissipate, and only then partially covered his nose and mouth to enter the room.

Inside the room, directly facing the door were two windows offering a decent view, overlooking the ocean and beach where the remnants of the demon ritual could be seen.

In front of the windows were two slightly tilted wooden chairs. On one sat a hunchbacked yet still remarkably long-limbed man. Contrary to the heavy black coat he wore in the Northern Realm, he now donned a khaki autumn jacket and a light brown gentleman’s hat, askew due to the strong alcohol scent, making him look quite comical.

In his left hand, he clutched a steel flask. As Fisher entered, he was simultaneously observing the traces of the demon ritual outside the window and attempting to bring the flask to his lips for a drink. But the sound of the door opening interrupted his action.

The next mont, he leaned back into the wooden chair, which creaked under his lanky fra, tilting it slightly backward.

With the tilt, his head gradually leaned back too, revealing a face that was deathly pale, with heavy dark circles, and cheeks tinged with a faint blush from inebriation.

It was Holan, the Death Lord of the Creation Society.

He appeared listless but managed a hollow smile at Fisher,

"Hey, long ti no see, Mr. Fisher."

Fisher glanced at him, then slowly walked to his side, pulling the other empty chair a bit closer, and opened the window to let the air circulate, almost overwheld by the room’s odor.

"I didn’t expect you to arrive so quickly."

"When I received your ssage, I ca over imdiately... Besides, I wasn’t in the Western Continent then, but rather not far from the South Continent, so it took about this much ti to get here."

Fisher gave him a cursory glance. Four and a half years had passed, yet he remained unchanged from the Northern Realm, in a half-dead state. Despite his apparent ntal instability, his body oddly suggested a strange separation from death.

He took another sip of his drink, prompting Fisher to ask,

"You weren’t in the Western Continent, so how did your landlord contact you?"

"Landlord?"

Holan paused briefly, then seed to realize sothing, smiled slightly, nodded, and said,

"That landlord has her ways to contact ... Back to the topic in the call, you weren’t lying about the information you told , right?"

"I indeed have a hint about your death. Have you ever heard of the na [Demon Dynasty]?"

Holan raised his hand to scratch the unkempt stubble under his chin, trying to marshal his alcohol-fogged thoughts. After a mont’s contemplation, he suddenly smiled briefly, took a sip of liquor, and said,

"Actually, I know you weren’t lying to because I already inford the Cardinal of Destiny about this before coming..."

"..."

Fisher’s words paused montarily, his train of thought disrupted by his words.

In fact, Fisher originally didn’t want this matter to pass through the Cardinal of Destiny, not entirely due to his past colored view of the Creation Society leading to distrust of her.

Previously, Philone and Erwin’s actions made him very biased against the Completion Manual and the Creation Society, but after going back and understanding the chaos and the Transferees, that sentint gradually faded.

He gradually realized that Tangze Asuka, who founded the Creation Society, and those Transferees were actually blaless. If bla must be assigned, it should be directed at chaos and the chaotic knowledge in their minds—the true source of disaster.

But at this mont, he did not want Holan to greet both the Death Lord and the Life Minister simply because he hadn’t yet completed what he promised the Cardinal of Destiny.
