Tang Xiaowan opened the door with trepidation, only to find two uniford staff mbers.

"May I help you?"

One of the staff mbers replied with a smile, "Sorry to disturb you, we’re here to deliver fruit. Is this the residence of Tang i?"

As he spoke, the other staff mber quickly double-checked the delivery address.

Tang Xiaowan nodded, "Yes."

"These two boxes are your durians. Please check them. Should we bring them in for you?"

"Sure, thank you for your hard work!"

"You’re welco. That’s what we’re here for."

So, the staff mbers brought the two boxes of durians into the front hall and handed Tang Xiaowan a slip of paper, smiling as they gestured for her to sign for the delivery.

It’s not Huahua, not him!

Ah, it seems I was overthinking it. How could it be? Maybe Huahua is still mad at .

Tang Xiaowan signed the receipt with a smile, but she felt as though she had lost sothing important, a hollow sensation that was quite unpleasant.

"Sorry for the disturbance, and we welco your next patronage!"

"Okay, thank you."

Cheng Shi, who ca over upon hearing the commotion, noticed the change in Tang Xiaowan’s mood. Seeing that the delivery staff had driven away, he hurriedly closed the front door.

"Miss, are you alright?"

Tang Xiaowan shook her head thoughtfully, "It’s nothing, I’m just wondering... are the durians sweet?"

"Do you want to open one?"

"Eh, never mind, just take them to the kitchen and give them to Granny Yu. Let her decide what to do with them. I don’t care. Do whatever you like."

Cheng Shi frowned, "Yes, miss."

Each box contained four durians, so two boxes ant there were eight. Tang Xiaowan usually loved to eat them, but at that mont, it seed she had suddenly lost interest, not even caring to glance at them before heading straight to the living room.

Seeing Tang Xiaowan return with a disappointed expression, Tang i and Wang Jinhui couldn’t help but be curious.

"Tangtang, what’s the matter?"

"Hey, who’s upset our Tangtang now?"

"The durians have arrived; do you want so? I asked Cheng Shi to take them all to the kitchen." Tang Xiaowan said listlessly, continuing to sit next to Tang i.

She was in a bad mood, suddenly feeling a bit like seeing Leng Lingxiao, although they had been apart for only half a day.

"I’ll pass; that thing is..." Wang Jinhui was about to say sothing but glanced at Tang i and quickly changed the subject, "It has to be fully ripe."

"It slls like it’s ripe... As for whether it’s sweet, I don’t know."

Tang i’s thin lips curved slightly, "How many did you buy?"

"Two boxes; there should be eight I think, one box seems to have four. I rember that’s what we bought before.

As soon as Tang Xiaowan had finished speaking, her eyes lit up, and she jumped to her feet, staring intently at Tang i, "You didn’t buy them?"

Tang i shook her head, smiling as she replied, "Grandma Tang doesn’t eat that, so why would..."

Before Tang i could finish her sentence, Tang Xiaowan had already dashed off, fast as a rabbit, catching people off guard.

She was thrilled, feeling as if she had won a grand prize, full of excitent.

Wow, it must be Huahua; it has to be!

He knows I love durians; yes, that’s right; it’s definitely that annoying rascal.

Didn’t even say a word beforehand, so annoying!

Tang Xiaowan rushed into the kitchen, a neat and cozy space.

Last month, when Grandma Tang was in the hospital, she and Leng Lingxiao were responsible for delivering als, so she was very familiar with the place and quickly made her way to the fruit cupboard.

Two boxes of durians, golden and plump!

At that mont, Granny Yu was busy beside the stove, skillfully managing various cooking utensils, while Cheng Shi and Zhao Renjie were sitting on either side of the long wooden table, peeling garlic and chatting about Chicheng anecdotes.

"Why haven’t you opened the durians to eat?" Tang Xiaowan cheerfully said, "They should be ripe, right?"

Granny Yu turned her head, revealing a kind and friendly smile, "Miss, if you want to eat, let Cheng Shi open one for you. Don’t attempt it yourself; you’ll get pricked again, and that thing is terrifying."

As Granny Yu spoke, Cheng Shi had already taken out a durian, quite large, weighing about six or seven jin.

Tang Xiaowan excitedly said, "Granny Yu, the durians were sent by Huahua, by Huahua! What’s with him buying stuff without telling in advance?"

Her tone bubbled with happiness.

"Silly girl, Mr. Leng wanted to surprise you. What a good boy!"

Tang Xiaowan humd shyly, then eagerly looked at Cheng Shi, "Hasn’t it been opened yet? I hope it’s not unripe?"

During their conversation, Cheng Shi had already opened the durian.

Tang Xiaowan’s eyes sparkled, staring at the yellow flesh inside. She couldn’t help but reach for a piece, "Wow, so full; it must be ripe, it looks so sweet!"
