"They’re all valuable herbs that my mom specially prepared for Tangtang, and you’re still picky?"
"Just kidding, let’s eat."
"I’m not hungry," Leng Lingxiao replied indifferently, his gaze unconsciously drifting to the empty seat beside him.
"Co on, think of it as keeping company. If you don’t eat, how can I, as a guest, feel comfortable using my chopsticks?"
"Alright then, let’s eat."
Only then did the quiet restaurant warm up a bit as the two n began to eat and chat.
These past few days, as Li Ruonan had been suffering from severe morning sickness, Shen Yiming had been dining with her in the bedroom. He had co out now to soothe Leng Lingxiao’s frustrated heart.
Of course, Tang Xiaowan had also specifically instructed him to do so. She understood her big crush the best.
...
On the other hand, boarding was completed.
With a smile on her face, Tang Xiaowan showed no signs of panic at the prospect of seeing her grandmother soon.
Seeing Tang Xiaowan so composed, Cheng Shi couldn’t help but ask curiously, "Miss, why didn’t we inform the old lady about our visit?"
Tang Xiaowan slowly turned her head and gave Cheng Shi a mysterious smile, "Don’t worry, soone will tell her."
She knew that Leng Lingxiao must be angry by now, and guessed that a complaint call would probably be made before the plane even landed in Huang City.
Cheng Shi paused for a mont, then nodded.
Shortly after the plane took off, the flight attendants began serving lunch to the passengers.
Tang Xiaowan and Cheng Shi both received an exquisite western al, including two pieces of tender grilled beef served with vegetables and mashed potatoes.
Upon opening the al box, a delicious aroma wafted out.
Cheng Shi tasted the beef. It was tender and juicy, which made him smile.
You get what you pay for!
He took a deep breath, enjoying the food while appreciating the tranquility and comfort of the flight.
In first class, Cheng Shi experienced a more private and luxurious space and attentive service than he was used to.
That made sense, after all, when Tang Xiaowan used to travel far, she was accompanied by Lin Xiaoxiao. He was just responsible for driving.
Gradually, Tang Xiaowan started feeling sleepy.
She adjusted the angle of her seat to a comfortable position, then pulled down the blackout curtain, closed her eyes, and gradually fell asleep as the plane soared through the clouds.
In the quiet cabin, other passengers also enjoyed their own monts.
So were talking softly, others were savoring music alone, and so were enjoying the view out of the window. Only Cheng Shi sat upright, staring ahead.
As a bodyguard, he couldn’t afford to let his guard down.
Ti quietly passed and at two-thirty in the afternoon, the plane smoothly landed at Huang City Airport.
"Wow, we’ve finally arrived!"
"Miss, would you like to rest a bit first? Should I inform Old Li?" Cheng Shi asked softly.
"Just take a cab back, it’s fine."
So, they imdiately took a taxi to Chunlei Street. At that mont, Tang Xiaowan’s expression suddenly beca excited and no longer composed.
She missed her grandmother so much!
Although Huang City wasn’t really ho for Tang Xiaowan, her grandmother, Tang i, was here. This was the place where Tang i was born, so it felt particularly familiar.
When the taxi arrived at door number 66, just as she expected, her grandmother was already waiting for her.
Without a word, she rushed into Tang i’s arms.
"My goodness, what’s the matter?" Tang i gently patted Tang Xiaowan’s back, smiling.
"Grandma, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you. You haven’t co to visit, and you barely call. I’m always the one calling you. Don’t you miss at all?"
The recent incident with the Jiang Family had greatly affected Tang Xiaowan, reminding her of the car accident in July and the night attack at i Garden in August.
The fragnts of her mory made her feel afraid.
At that mont, she clung tightly to her grandmother, a bitter and anxious feeling in her heart.
"That’s an exaggeration, it’s only been nine days!"
"But still...it’s been so long. You have no idea, I missed you so much... "
Tang Xiaowan said intermittently as tears stread down her face, looking greatly aggrieved, which made Granny Yu’s eyes tear up as well.
"Miss, don’t cry. What’s wrong?"
"Granny Yu, I missed you too. Don’t you miss Tangtang?" Tang Xiaowan pouted.
"Miss, miss, of course I miss her!"
At that, Granny Yu quickly pulled out a tissue to wipe Tang Xiaowan’s cheeks, but Tang i shook her head at her, indicating it wasn’t necessary.
She knew her own granddaughter better than anyone else!
