Bai Long nodded and left without saying anything more.

The study door was gently closed.

When he returned to his room, he tossed and turned but couldn’t fall asleep, and unwittingly he began to think of Tang Xiaowan’s various acts of sabotage back when she was at Li Garden.

During that ti, the bodyguards were busy every day following Tang Xiaowan around to fix her sses, and they were so busy that many of them secretly resented her and hoped she would leave soon so that she wouldn’t trouble Li Garden anymore.

He had similar thoughts too.

It was not until later that Bai Long gradually understood that Tang Xiaowan’s endless sabotage was not to tornt everyone else, but to anger Li Zishen and thus achieve her goal of leaving Li Garden.

She genuinely hated being monitored 24 hours a day, even if it was ant for her own good.

"Leng Lingxiao, Leng Lingxiao!"

"You’d better not be here to snatch Lady Tang or I, Bai Long, will be the first to disagree."

"Lady Tang can only belong to Brother Shen."

He smoked one cigarette after another, drank one bottle of soda after another.

Bai Long ticulously recalled every place Ling Xiao had been to during this ti, as well as all the people he had seen.

Finally, at 2 a.m., he hurried out of the house and drove to Jinshan Villa.

...

At seven in the morning, Tang Xiaowan woke up.

"Wang Jinhui, Old Man Cui, should I call you Grandpa, or big brother?"

With the question in mind, she quickly finished washing up.

On the dining table downstairs were her favorite xiaolongbao and potstickers, all filled with at. She took a gentle bite, and the rich broth was fragrant.

"Miss, since Mr. Leng is sending you today, then I’ll go..."

"Who said to let him send?"

Cheng Shi looked out the window in surprise, then quickly withdrew his gaze, "Mr. Leng said yesterday that you had agreed, and from now on, whenever possible, he will take you to and from school."

"Whose word do you take... mine or his?"

Tang Xiaowan didn’t even look up as she spoke, happily munching on her potstickers, her cheeks full.

Such casualness unexpectedly made Cheng Shi tense up, and he imdiately straightened his body.

"I only listen to Miss."

"There you go, what are you waiting for? Get ready, we’re leaving in five minutes."

"Yes, Miss."

After Cheng Shi left, Tang Xiaowan imdiately picked up her phone and sent a ssage to Leng Lingxiao.

[Please do not forge imperial orders in the future!]

[I have a personal chauffeur, aren’t you just snatching Cheng Shi’s job by doing this?]

[12 o’clock, et at Old Man Cui’s door.]

She clearly articulated her points in three ssages, but after reading them, Leng Lingxiao almost wanted to rush over and have a serious discussion with Tang Xiaowan.

[Tangtang classmate, how can you go back on your word like this, when you clearly already agreed?]

He had typed everything out, yet he deleted it.

He carefully recalled the scene at the mont, his brow suddenly furrowing deeply.

Did I misunderstand?

Remaining silent doesn’t an consent?

Alright, always playing unpredictably!

[Got it, see you at noon.]

After sending the ssage, Leng Lingxiao still furrowed his brows.

At this mont, his cool black motorcycle sohow seed especially noticeable, particularly the two helts on it,

As Leng Lingxiao picked up the red one, just about to throw it away, he stopped mid-air.

He had personally picked it out for Tang Xiaowan.

Just last night, even his dreams were filled with images of the two of them racing through the streets and alleys.

One black, one red, cool and eye-catching.

The three ssages Tang Xiaowan sent just now doused his beautiful dream like a bucket of cold water.

"Never mind, too expensive."

"Let’s just keep it for now; it’ll be useful sooner or later."

After muttering to himself twice, Leng Lingxiao’s eyes relaxed and he hugged the red helt, heading straight for the house.

"Old Zhao, is breakfast ready?"

Upon seeing him, Zhao Renjie instantly had an idea and hurriedly brought the prepared lean at porridge and cold tossed radish to the dining room.

He didn’t ask anything, just stood by properly like usual, keeping him company.

"What has Lei Ziyi been busy with these past few days?"

"Just as you predicted, he infiltrated a few of Li Wanshan’s companies, making smooth progress, and it’s expected that they will declare bankruptcy in a few days."

"It looks like Li Zishen isn’t planning on saving his good uncle!"

"The relationship between them hasn’t been solid. Over the years, Li Wanshan indeed played quite a few tricks; it’s only because Li Zishen is fortunate, otherwise, Yishen Group might have been renad long ago."

After hearing this, Leng Lingxiao smirked wickedly.

Leng Family appeared harmonious outwardly but not internally, sothing he had known long ago. Thus, he had never taken drastic actions, seemingly sitting back and watching the tigers fight.

Originally, his business focus wasn’t even in the country, as most of it was abroad.

"It’s just, master, if later Lei Ziyi turns against us... citing it as your idea, won’t the Li Family side beco troubleso?" Zhao Renjie seed to think of sothing and continued.

"He was brought in from Y country by Li Wanshan, and Li Zishen kept tabs on him all this ti; wouldn’t he know?"

"Of course, he knows."

"Besides, Lei Ziyi isn’t at our Jinshan Villa anymore but still at the old place, near Li Wanshan’s Wuyou Pavilion; what’s there to worry about?"

"Master, you’ve thought of everything; sending him back was an oversight on my part."

"Has Bai Long left?"

Zhao Renjie shook his head: "Not yet."

"Let the brothers take the car out for a spin to kill boredom, it’s been one night."

"Yes, I’ll arrange that now."

"Hold on, Old Zhao, tell ... if from now on, you were no longer allowed to drive and were assigned to do sothing else, how would you feel?"

This statent imdiately changed Zhao Renjie’s expression, his face dropping like a frosted eggplant.

Having followed Leng Lingxiao for many years, it was the first ti he heard such words, and he was shook beyond description.

In just a few tens of seconds, he almost wanted to recall every event that had recently happened.

Did he ss up arrangents regarding Lei Ziyi, or was it sothing he said at Lady Tang’s hot pot dinner yesterday? Or perhaps he didn’t polish the motorbike well enough this morning, leaving it stained?

Unable to find any major issue, he had to consider smaller ones.

But in Zhao Renjie’s eyes, Leng Lingxiao wasn’t a person who was nit-picky, cold-looking as he may be, he was actually quite passionate on the inside.

"Master, did I do sothing wrong?"

"Is it a feeling like soone took your rice bowl?" Leng Lingxiao asked, eyebrow raised.

His tone was lazy and carried a hint of amusent.

Zhao Renjie: "?"

"Master, what is this about..."

"Tangtang won’t let drive her to and from school anymore, said it’s like taking Cheng Shi’s rice bowl. Looks like it’s true!"

Realizing this, Zhao Renjie sighed in relief.

"Oh, so that’s what it was!"

"Alright, no worries, go on and get busy."

After Zhao Renjie left, Leng Lingxiao picked up the cold tossed radish and finished it in a few bites.

The heavy stone in his heart had safely landed.

He glanced at his wristwatch, thinking that Tang Xiaowan must have already set off, and quickly walked out of the dining room to ride the black motorbike and sped away.
