Jas Linden grabbed Daniel Linden’s clenched fist, "Daniel, let it go. She is still your sister."

...

Tiana Linden was taken by The Linden Family’s butler to the back garden to find Daisy.

The butler’s surna was Caron, she used to call him Uncle Caron.

Uncle Caron had white hair, was tall and thin, his face had a long scar, which looked scary, but in fact, he was kind and gentle.

Walking beside Tiana, Uncle Caron sighed repeatedly:

"Tiana, don’t be sad. Your father and your brother are indeed confused and foolish. I’ve always felt that your mother’s suffering was unjust, and so was yours, but I have no evidence. Alas, unfortunately, I, Mr. Caron, don’t have the capability to protect you, Tiana. When your mother passed away, she asked to take good care of you. Tiana, I’m sorry!"

Tiana was very grateful, "Thank you, Uncle Caron. I will handle my own affairs, don’t worry too much."

If she had the ti, she also wanted to clear her mother’s na.

But she could hardly take care of herself right now, let alone her daughter, so she could only focus on the most important things at hand.

At this mont, Vivian Linden and Sharon Sullivan were in the greenhouse accompanying Daisy.

As Tiana approached, Vivian Linden stood up with a snack box in her hands, "Sister!"

Tiana picked up Daisy, "I’m not your sister."

Vivian continued, "Sister, regarding you looking for Aiden Grant, I don’t bla you, after all..."

Not wanting to listen any further, Tiana interrupted decisively:

"Vivian Linden, borrowing Aiden Grant’s words for you, as people act, Heaven watches, if you do too much bad, karma will catch up to you."

Beside them, Sharon Sullivan replied unhappily, "Tiana, how can you talk like that?"

At this mont, Tiana had already turned and walked away with Daisy.

It was Vivian Linden who held Sharon Sullivan back, "Mom, don’t say anything."

After Tiana and her daughter walked far away and were out of sight, Vivian cautiously looked around, "Mom, did you see Tiana’s expression just now? Could our secret have been discovered by her?"

After pondering for a mont, Sharon Sullivan answered firmly:

"Impossible, we have done it so ticulously that no one will know."

"Anyway, you are the Linden family’s young lady now, as long as you behave, your wishes will soon co true."

...

Tiana knew, Daisy could no longer depend on Aiden Grant in the future.

The path ahead must be walked by Daisy alone, on her own.

She would always stay behind her, unable to see even a glimpse.

Back ho, she wrote a plan.

Then she made a request to Daisy:

"Daisy, from today onwards, you must learn to cook by yourself, or you can’t eat."

"Mom, are you serious?" Daisy looked at her, puzzled.

Tiana hardened her heart but spoke gently, "Mom will teach you."

She would find an adoptive family for Daisy.

But living under soone else’s roof, how could it be comfortable?

If she knew how to do a lot of housework, perhaps the adoptive parents would like her more.

Daisy was still just a child.

She couldn’t reach the kitchen counter or hold a kitchen knife.

Initially, she was quite interested in chopping vegetables and cooking, and was willing to follow her mom.

But the kitchen knife was indeed very heavy.

Not to ntion chopping vegetables, even lifting it made her arms sore.

Daisy put down the knife, feeling a bit discouraged, "Mom, can I not learn now? Can I learn when I grow up?"

The words ’grow up’ made Tiana’s nose sting with intense sadness.

How much she wanted to accompany Daisy as she grew up, how much she wanted to protect her always.

But how many days could she still take care of Daisy?

She, who was gentle, was being a strict mom for the first ti, "No, Daisy. If your stir-fried cucumber at slices aren’t cooked today, we won’t eat."

Mom is weird today!

Daisy didn’t understand, "Mom, why do I have to learn how to stir-fry?"

So explanations, Tiana couldn’t voice out.

She reverted to a gentle tone, stroked Daisy’s head, and said, "Learning more skills, so you won’t starve."

Daisy: "With mom here, how could I starve to death?"

Tiana: "..."

Seeing her eyes turn red, Daisy thought she had been naughty and made her mom upset.

She quickly picked up the knife again.

"Hiss..." Wanting her mom to be happy, wanting to quickly learn how to chop vegetables, Daisy cut her own tender white finger.

Blood gushed out instantly, dripping onto the chopping board.

Daisy held back tears, not daring to cry out, "Mom, sorry! It’s Daisy who’s too clumsy."

In the past at such monts, Tiana would surely have quickly pressed Daisy’s wound, quickly hugged her, consoled her, then promptly bandaged her wound.

But this ti, Tiana just handed Daisy a band-aid, and said sternly, "Daisy, no crying, wipe your tears, put on the band-aid, and continue chopping."
