No matter how gracefully Aiden wears this outfit.
Tiana Linden is unwilling to spare even a glance.
She let go of Daisy and Laura’s little hands and took out her phone from her bag.
The call was to Jane Sumrs.
Jane answered in an instant.
"Jane Sumrs, how dare you answer the phone?"
"You know very well I hate this person the most, yet you used Joshua to trick into coming out."
On the other end, Jane quickly explained, "Tiana, don’t be angry. I just felt sorry for Daisy. After all, Aiden is Daisy’s biological father..."
Before Jane could finish, Tiana decisively cut her off, "Don’t contact again in the future."
With that, she hung up the phone.
Seeing her furious expression, Aiden stepped forward to explain:
"I’m sorry, I had no choice but to use this thod to get you both to co out. Don’t bla Jane, she just wants to help ."
He glanced at Tiana and then at Daisy beside her.
The child’s big eyes were bright and lively, just like Tiana’s.
Many years ago, he had aspired to have Tiana give birth to a sweet and lovely daughter for him.
Tiana really did give birth to Daisy for him.
Aiden could hardly imagine how she managed to endure while pregnant with Daisy in prison.
Their journey had suffered too many hardships and difficulties.
Every ti he thought of it, Aiden’s throat tightened and his eyes reddened.
He owed them far too much, far too much.
He bent down, wanting to pat Daisy’s little head.
Filled with hatred, little Daisy hid behind her mother.
"Don’t touch !"
The childish tone was full of disgust.
Aiden’s raised hand eventually dropped in despair.
He then endured the painful burning in his heart and gently said:
"Daisy, Daddy brought you a gift today."
"After dinner, Daddy will take you to the aquarium to see the big whales, okay?"
Daisy: "No! I don’t want to have dinner with you, and I definitely don’t want to go to the aquarium with you."
Then, Daisy looked up at Tiana, "Mom, why didn’t Joshua co?"
Tiana didn’t know how to explain to the child that it was Joshua’s mother who tricked them into coming here.
Even though Daisy refused, Aiden still went to fetch the gift he had brought for Daisy today.
It was a painting.
It was the portrait of their family of three that Aiden had recently painted.
The portrait contained a starry sky.
Under the starry sky, Aiden lifted Daisy high above his head, with Tiana smiling beside them.
It was completely painted from Aiden’s imagination, an oil painting.
The warmth and happiness of the family of three in the portrait was the beautiful future Aiden yearned for.
He painted it vividly.
As if their family of three had really stepped into the canvas.
Truly a genius painter—Aiden.
He squatted down and presented the entire portrait in front of Daisy, "Daisy, do you like it?"
The portrait truly touched Daisy.
When she first t him, it was at the airport.
Little Daisy had skinned her knee, and he picked her up and patiently put a band-aid on it.
At that ti, Daisy desperately hoped to have such a warm father.
The truth proved he really was her father.
Such warmth and happiness, how could Daisy not have yearned for it?
However, the emotional and physical harm her father brought to her was too much, far too much.
This painting provoked Daisy’s young heart.
She knocked the painting away, looking at Aiden with eyes full of hatred.
"I don’t like it!"
Seeing Daisy crying in pain, Tiana hurriedly embraced Daisy in her arms.
She knew the harm Aiden caused to Daisy would be a lifelong psychological shadow.
"Daisy, if you don’t like it, we’ll go ho."
"Mommy will take you ho."
Laura beside them also couldn’t bear to see Daisy upset.
She stepped forward and wiped Daisy’s tears, "Daisy, sister will take you to play."
Daisy held her mother’s hand with one hand, and Laura’s with the other, nodding, "Yes, let’s go ho!"
In the next mont, Tiana intended to take the children away.
Aiden was not resigned.
Holding a box, he blocked their path.
"Tiana, I repaired those porcelain dolls."
"The repaired porcelain dolls are prettier and more adorable than before."
Saying this, he removed a pair of porcelain dolls from the box.
The familiar items reminded Tiana of many past mories.
She took one of the boy dolls, which had four words engraved by Aiden: "Together till old age."
Aiden held the girl doll, placing it next to the boy doll, "See, the red string is tied early, together till old age. I’ve truly repaired them. Tiana, I know your heart is like this shattered porcelain doll, hard to nd. But could you give a chance? I promise to make it up to you and Daisy."
Tiana took the girl doll as well.
"These dolls are very important to you, aren’t they?"
With a crack.
"Tiana, don’t..."
Aiden was too late to stop her.
The pair of repaired porcelain dolls fell to the ground.
More shattered than before.
Pieces scattered around.
Just like Aiden’s broken heart.
This pair of porcelain dolls was painstakingly restored after four days and five nights without rest.
Yet Tiana discarded them like worn-out shoes.
"Aiden, when you wanted to love you, I loved you."
"When you wanted to rely on you, I relied on you."
"And then, because I wasn’t trusted, you heavily cast aside."
"In my darkest, bleakest monts, you not only didn’t lend a helping hand but pushed into the abyss."
"If I give you another chance, would I be stupid beyond saving?"
Between her and Aiden, there was no possibility.
"Don’t keep pestering , or Daisy and I will hate you even more."
Speaking of these, Tiana showed no emotions.
As if she had truly let go of the sweet and beautiful past.
Like the pair of porcelain dolls Aiden treasured as jewels, to her it was re trash.
After saying this, Tiana took Daisy and Laura’s hands again and left the booth.
As they left, they stepped over the shattered porcelain pieces and the painting Daisy had knocked to the floor, without looking back.
Leaving Aiden alone in the booth, staring at the scattered fragnts and the trampled painting, feeling as if stabbed by knives.
He picked up each shard.
So had been ground into fine particles.
He carefully swept them into a pile, holding them, "They can definitely be restored again, they surely can..."
...
In the evening.
Hector Chaucer returned to the villa at The Sovereign from outside.
Tiana was in the kitchen, simring soup.
For as long as Tiana simred it, Hector watched her from behind.
When Tiana turned around, she t Hector’s gaze.
