That evening, Thea Lynch solved her dinner at the hotel restaurant and did not go out.

The next morning, she and her assistant set off early to head to Valiant headquarters. Valiant’s business landscape has been constantly expanding, from initially focusing on basic electronic products like smartphones to independently developing chips and now to drones. Valiant is undoubtedly a leader in the dostic industry, and it also has a significant presence in the overseas market.

It was Thea Lynch’s first ti at Valiant headquarters, and after being led to the eting room, she began to wait.

Her assistant was nervously rubbing his hands together, taking deep breaths.

She glanced at him upon hearing the noise, "What are you doing?"

The assistant was surprised that she initiated a conversation with him. Realizing this, he quickly replied, "I heard that the president of Valiant is coming in a while, and I’m a bit nervous about eting him for the first ti."

Thea Lynch didn’t understand. The assistant assud she hadn’t heard of Valiant’s president since she had been abroad for a long ti, "Valiant’s President Shen is a low-key person, rarely appearing in public in recent years. He’s my idol, actually."

"... Oh."

The two didn’t have to wait long, as the other party was very punctual, arriving ten minutes before the appointed ti.

"Hello, President Shen. I am Thea Lynch, an engineer in Stratus’s R&D departnt and the main responsible person for this project."

The assistant was not wrong; Valiant’s President Shen was amiable and had no airs. Judging by his age, he seed to be about the sa as Ian Preston. However, the other party always had a gentle smile, like a breeze, making him much more pleasing than Ian Preston’s expressionless face.

Thea Lynch collected her thoughts and gestured for the assistant to start the PPT.

The assistant complied, getting up to the front.

A few minutes passed, and the assistant looked helplessly at Thea Lynch.

"Excuse ," Thea Lynch signaled to President Shen, getting up.

She walked to the assistant’s side and whispered, "What’s going on?"

The assistant was a bit embarrassed, "Last night when I was organizing the files, I accidentally dropped the computer. It seed fine at that ti, but it failed at the critical mont."

"..."

President Shen across the room saw her displeased expression and inquired with concern, "Is there a problem?"

Thea Lynch glanced at the computer on the table and closed it firmly. She then turned around without a change in expression and returned to her seat, but did not sit down.

She nodded at President Shen with a smile, "Apologies, President Shen. We have a temporary issue with our equipnt. Please first review the files, and if you can wait a few minutes, I will provide an oral report first, is that okay?"

"Certainly." The other party replied with a smile, not being difficult.

Thea Lynch brought over her own laptop, "Since your company officially collaborated with Stratus, it’s been so ti. During this period, Stratus has put all its focus on the project with your company."

"Our R&D departnt initially analyzed data from a previous smartphone chip from your company."

As she spoke, her hands were also busy connecting the equipnt.

"Undeniably, your company’s technology is far superior to other brands. This chip provides faster processing and lower power consumption for smartphones and is also equipped with a specialized hardware processing unit for handling massive AI data. It is considered an outstanding product in the dostic market."

"Therefore, we initially used its data as a carrier for further optimization and analysis." A few minutes later, Thea Lynch fixed the equipnt and indicated for the other party to view the detailed data, "President Shen, here are all the data we have compiled..."

Twenty minutes later, Thea Lynch slowly lifted her head, looking straight ahead:

"The above is our progress so far, which is sowhat faster than initially anticipated. Please rest assured, President Shen, that up to this point, our Stratus R&D team remains very confident."

Valiant also has several chips under its wing. However, presently, due to limited dostic technology, none of the chips can be genuinely dostically produced. Therefore, Valiant has begun investing in semiconductors, attempting to achieve a complete industry chain; unfortunately, years of research have been in vain.

Currently, the only company with the capability to join forces with Valiant to complete this monuntal task is Stratus.

They are confident in resolving what can be considered the most challenging issue in the entire industry from its roots. If successful, the lifeline of the high-end dostic smartphone market will be entirely in their control, no longer reliant on certain overseas chips.

Moreover, once the technology matures, Stratus can continue to optimize and apply it to more products based on this technology.

However, this is a prolonged battle.

Since its establishnt, Stratus has invested trendous effort and resources, focusing solely on this one task. Silas Cheney doesn’t seem very reliable, and she also has many private opinions about Ian Preston. But in this regard, she still admires both of them.

Why would a small company like Stratus have multiple top-tier R&D teams in the country? It mainly owes to the fact that it provides a genuine platform for all engineers to showcase their abilities, with ample R&D funding and multiple advanced laboratories. Moreover, Stratus’s salary and benefits far exceed market rates.

This is also the main reason why Valiant chose Stratus.

——

After solving lunch at Valiant’s cafeteria and politely declining a dinner invitation from Valiant’s top managent, at 1 p.m., Thea Lynch left with her assistant.

Upon exiting Valiant headquarters, Thea Lynch stopped and turned to look at her assistant behind her.

Recipient of her gaze, the assistant was forced to halt. After feeling the familiar pressure for a few seconds, he quickly apologized, "I didn’t anticipate this issue; I didn’t know the computer was broken. I thought it was fine yesterday."

"You thought?" Thea Lynch raised an eyebrow, looking at him with an appreciative gaze, as if interested in the word he used.

"I... I didn’t want this to happen either; it was entirely an accident."

"Do you think I or the Valiant top managent we just t would want to hear you say this? Haven’t you had any internships? Do you have no experience at all?"

Thea Lynch wasn’t upset about this mishap per se, but about his lack of seriousness towards the job. Faced with the problem, he kept making excuses, trying to dismiss it with a few words to disassociate himself, not even knowing the most basic polite phrasing, selfish and arrogant.

"Do you think it’s absurd to solve everything by blaming it on ’accidents’?"

He muttered, "...But I wasn’t initially hired as an assistant." He could have been on equal footing with Thea Lynch and not had to do these chores!

"So, what now? Without a proper work attitude, what else do you want to do?"

"I don’t care about your qualifications or background and what you plan to do in the future. All I know is that you are now my assistant, and you must do everything within your duties well."

"Minor mistakes can be allowed, once or twice I can accept. But, you need to correct your attitude."

"No one will pay for your mistakes."

"Today, it’s fortunate that President Shen from Valiant is easygoing; if you encounter soone difficult, with their status, their ti is especially precious, would they have ti to listen to your ’accidental’ explanation?"

Seeing his gaze wandering, Thea Lynch suddenly laughed, "You don’t expect the other party to comfort you by saying it’s okay, do you?"
