"Morning, Foreman Lynch!"

When Thea Lynch got up, she was surprised to find that lody was also awake.

She nodded, "Morning."

"Your uncle said you wake up late in the morning, so I was planning to wake you in half an hour."

lody chuckled, "I was so excited last night that I couldn’t sleep at all, I got up before the alarm even went off. Just couldn’t sleep!"

The two seed to have switched roles; the person with good sleep quality couldn’t sleep last night, while the one who usually doesn’t sleep well had a dreamless night and slept until dawn.

"Let’s go, have sothing to eat downstairs and then we’ll leave."

"Take your stuff with you, we won’t be coming back up later."

lody responded, "Got it!"

Opening the door, Thea Lynch was startled by the figure in the hallway.

"Foreman Lynch," Diana Dawson stood obediently.

She lived next door, sharing it with a girl from the second research departnt.

Thea Lynch replied, "You’re all up so early."

Diana Dawson smiled shyly, "I guessed you would get up early, so I set the alarm half an hour ahead."

"No need to deliberately match my timing." Thea Lynch walked toward the elevator, "Stick to the schedule."

"You can just follow that."

"It’s fine, I usually get up pretty early too! I don’t need much sleep." Diana Dawson said.

Upon hearing this, Thea Lynch didn’t say anything further.

She walked in front, with Diana Dawson and lody obediently following behind her.

The hotel restaurant’s breakfast was average; Thea Lynch didn’t have much appetite and gave up after a few bites, silently sipping her coffee.

Diana Dawson noticed this, "Foreman Lynch, why don’t I go out and buy you sothing else to eat? When we arrived yesterday, I noticed there’s a Chinese restaurant nearby!"

"Should I go see if they have sothing like soup dumplings?"

"No need." Thea Lynch appreciated the gesture and glanced up at her a couple of tis.

Everyone says Diana Dawson has an introverted personality and looks too honest, wouldn’t be able to catch on to things. In reality, she’s actually quite perceptive.

After all, her previous assistant never cared about what she liked to eat and wasn’t concerned.

Of course, it’s normal as this isn’t part of their job.

But Diana Dawson is able to notice and pay attention, making the feeling different.

lody quickly finished the last piece of bacon and said, "I’ll go out with Diana to take a look. Foreman Lynch, breakfast needs to be yummy and filling! Today’s work is heavy, and we’re counting on you!"

Thea Lynch glanced at her and smiled, "Want to go out, huh?"

lody’s eyes dodged, "No, no."

Despite denying it, the desire to go out and play was written all over her face.

"If we finish early the next couple of days, I’ll take you guys out for a stroll. But not right now."

They’re leaving early, the earliest they’ll return in the evening is seven or eight, then after dinner it’ll be past nine. Lynch wasn’t too keen on suggesting they go out at this ti.

Nearby, the entrance for so night scenery is fine.

But clearly, lody wanted more than a stroll by the entrance.

"You haven’t been here before?" Thea Lynch asked.

"Not here, but I’ve been to New York."

"Hmm, the two places are very close."

At this point, lody suddenly thought of sothing, and imdiately put down her knife and fork, "That ti I went to New York was quite a coincidence, I hitchhiked soone else’s plane."

"Foreman Lynch should know."

Thea Lynch imdiately thought of her uncle, "Silas Cheney?"

"No, no." lody suddenly smiled at her, her dark pupils rolling, with a mischievous look.

"Actually, it was Uncle Ian Preston."

"..."

Thea Lynch was surprised because it was the first ti she heard soone call Ian Preston uncle.

A direct generation leap.

However, based on conventional familial relations, calling him uncle wasn’t improper.

Perfectly acceptable.

Thea Lynch acknowledged, continuing to drink coffee without showing any surprise.

Seeing her calm reaction, lody felt a little disappointed.

Why is it different from what Uncle Silas said???

Where did it go wrong?

"I went straight to New York, but Uncle Ian Preston wasn’t. His destination seed to be here."

Thea Lynch: "..."

Seeing a trace of peculiarity in her eyes, lody’s curiosity flared up, "I heard Uncle Ian Preston was here looking for his girlfriend."

"He cos here every month."

"That’s why Uncle Silas let hitch a ride on his plane."

"Funny thing is, I’ve had als with these uncles a couple of tis, but never saw Uncle Ian Preston’s girlfriend."

"Have you t her, Foreman Lynch?"

The young girl looked at her with anticipation.

Thea Lynch lowered her eyes, nonchalantly observing her, after a few seconds she withdrew her gaze, softly replied, "I haven’t t her either."

"Ah..."

"So there’s no such person? Uncle Silas lied to ."

"There is such a person."

Thea Lynch helplessly compromised, "It’s just like what you think."

"It’s ."

"It’s really you!" lody had actually guessed it earlier, but hearing Thea Lynch admit it, she was still very excited.

"I was really, really curious back then!"

"How much did Silas tell you?"

"Actually... it wasn’t my uncle who told . At first, I guessed it myself. Later, I asked my uncle."

"But rest assured, my uncle didn’t directly say if it was you, he just told Ian Preston definitely has soone he likes a lot."

"You’re pretty smart." Thea Lynch smiled.

Praised by a beauty, lody couldn’t help but feel proud, "It’s just my intuition."

"So... should I call Foreman Lynch aunt?"

"..." Thea Lynch nearly choked on her coffee, "No need."

That would be quite unnecessary.

"I definitely don’t deserve that title, calling that ages ."

"Plus, we’re not at that stage."

"Eh, but it’ll happen soon anyway." lody wore an expression of knowing it all.

Honestly, so of her gestures and expressions were just like Silas Cheney.

Indeed, they’re closely related uncle and niece.

"When I saw Uncle Ian Preston, I kept wondering what the person he likes would be like."

"Surprised you?" Thea Lynch asked.

"No, no."

lody shook her head, "If it was a surprise, I wouldn’t have guessed it was you right away."

"Quite the opposite, the first ti I saw you two standing together, I felt you match perfectly!"

"Oh right, Foreman Lynch, you may not know. I secretly saw Uncle Ian Preston co to pick you up after work from upstairs."

"At that ti, it seed you weren’t speaking much, but the vibe was still good. That silent interaction..."

"Hang on." Thea Lynch interrupted, "We didn’t seem to have any non-verbal interaction."

The way this was said, even Diana Dawson couldn’t help but widen her eyes, clearly misunderstanding.

lody belatedly realized what she said could be ambiguous, so she clarified, "No, what I ant is, he always walks on the outside taking the wind for you and walks extra slow keeping pace with you."

"And he always looks down at you."
