Thea didn’t pick up her phone, only glanced at the photo briefly.

Then she looked up at Sean, "Who is this?"

She didn’t recognize the woman, but judging by the age, she was probably around her own.

"A mber of the Sullivan Family from Riverbend. I heard they’re in the import-export business, but I don’t know much about them." This crowd naturally didn’t know much about Riverbend’s circle.

"Oh." Thea didn’t react much.

"So, why are you showing this?"

Sean wasn’t soone who’d show her a woman’s photo for no reason.

Just didn’t know what he was up to this ti.

"Silas’s matchmaking candidate."

"...Huh?"

This ti, Thea was genuinely stunned, her eyes full of shock, "From Riverbend?"

Previously, Elder Cheney had been keen on finding a suitable woman for Silas within Coronet’s circle.

The won introduced to Silas previously were reportedly all from Coronet. Elder Cheney was strict in this regard.

That’s why Thea was so surprised.

Sean casually threw the phone aside, rested his hand on the steering wheel, and spoke while driving, "Who knows. I just heard about it this morning."

"But, that’s actually not the main point."

"?" Thea tilted her head.

"The point is, I heard this morning that this Sullivan woman isn’t interested in Silas."

"..." Thea: "Fourth Brother’s looks and physique aren’t bad, right? How co she’s not interested before even eting?"

Thea wasn’t questioning the woman’s taste; she was skeptical if Sean was just slandering Silas.

"That depends on who you compare him to."

Sean chuckled, seemingly recalling sothing amusing. He started laughing to himself even before speaking.

Thea looked at him in confusion, almost questioning his ntal state.

She couldn’t hold back, "If you’re really unwell, maybe you should take so dication."

Sean laughed until his chest shook, and though there were lenses in front to obscure, it couldn’t hide the laughter in his eyes.

Thea could only describe her current mood as "speechless."

"Stop talking, I don’t want to hear anymore."

She leaned back, quietly rolled down a section of the window, giving him a cold shoulder. She completely ignored him.

Sean laughed to himself for a while before speaking slowly, "If I tell, you’ll probably laugh too."

"I heard that Sullivan initially planned to et Silas, but guess what happened?"

"..." Thea was speechless, turned her head, "If you weren’t driving, I’d definitely hit you."

Sean clenched his fist against his lips, covering his wildly smiling mouth, trying to conceal.

"Cough." After a pause, he finally got to the point, "That Sullivan woman sohow saw Third Brother’s photo."

"And, she fell for Third Brother."

Thea’s pupils shrank.

"You don’t believe it? I overheard this morning, my grandpa said it himself. I heard the Sullivan woman is now all worked up wanting to et Third Brother."

"What kind of karma is Silas paying for, even his matchmaking partner ran off."

Sean continued gloating, while Thea’s face remained expressionless. Though she had heard it all, she still didn’t find it funny.

After a few seconds of silence, she asked, "Do Third Brother and Fourth Brother know about this?"

"Probably not. Likely they’ll know once they return from abroad."

"Hmm." Thea didn’t know what to say either, nodded and fell silent again.

Sean’s peripheral vision lingered on her face, "You’re not worried?"

"Worried about what?"

"Don’t play dumb. You’re smart enough to know what I’m asking about."

Thea rested one hand on her head, her long hair blowing in the wind outside. She squinted, her voice light as if it would dissipate with a breath, "No."

Not worried.

Just surprised by the lodramatic aspect of it, that’s all.

"Aren’t you afraid they’ll really et?"

"Not afraid." Thea said openly, "If they can settle things in one eting, then whatever."

She’s not insisting.

"You’re genuinely not in a hurry? Would rather miss than make the first move?"

"I have my own plans."

"Using this excuse to appease that fool Silas is fine, but don’t try to fool with it." Sean tapped rhythmically on the steering wheel, his tone sounding more serious than before, "Co on, at least be honest with , won’t you?"

Thea tugged at her lips, her expression was hard to describe. "Can you stop acting like you know so well."

"I’m currently focused on my work, no ntal space for other things."

Upon hearing this, Sean furrowed his brows, but soon he understood sothing.

Thea’s "plans" were that she was focusing on her career. She always held herself to high standards, likely wanting to sort out work before considering other matters.

This is also the main reason why Thea suddenly changed her attitude towards Ian.

Because she found herself often caught in such dilemmas lately, greatly affecting her work and life. So might as well, set aside emotional matters for now, focus on completing the current project.

During this period, she’s maintaining normal contact with Ian; as for where it leads, the final outco... let it happen naturally.

"Haven’t you figured out that chip yet?"

"Still early." Thea: "It’s not child’s play."

"Need to conduct experints repeatedly, make sure there’s no error."

After a pause, Thea slowly exhaled, "But the progress is smooth so far, no surprises or shocks, just as expected."

Though she’s quite satisfied, progressing this far without major issues ans they’ve been lucky.

Or rather, their team’s skill has been consistently strong.

——

Airport parking lot.

Thea walked ahead holding a bouquet, occasionally urging the person behind, "Could you hurry up."

Even while wearing heels, she was faster than him.

Sean seed oblivious, still following her at a leisurely pace.

Thea started walking but later ended up running.

Originally, there was no rush, but who knew Uncle Zhou and others arrived early.

Second Brother said Uncle and Aunt had already landed.

"What’s the rush?" Sean pressed the elevator, joined her in going up.

Thea glanced at him, "Can you act a bit more like an elite? Moving slowly like a street thug, what’s the difference?"

He didn’t have the air of a lawyer.

Sean adjusted his glasses, straightened his back, looked at her expressionlessly, "Like this?"

"..." Don’t say, when he isn’t smiling with a serious face, he does resemble Ian a bit.

When they arrived, Second Brother’s parents had already co out.

Upon seeing her, Aunt ran up, before Thea could react, hugged her tightly, choking up, "Oh, my Thea."

Thea couldn’t make out Aunt’s face, but after reacting, quickly freed a hand to hug her back, "Aunt Qing..."
