Thea Lynch couldn’t communicate with him and didn’t want to continue the conversation.

She ca purely to settle the score with him, no nonsense, just a beating and talk later.

Sean Bell lay in the chair, not moving a bit, allowing her to vent. He even occasionally let out a sarcastic remark:

"Can you use a bit of strength? Hitting people feels like a massage."

"I don’t mind if you use so tools." His gaze was rather aningful, carrying a certain implication.

Thea didn’t understand at first, but later realized it and went up for another slap. This slap wasn’t heavy, but it landed solidly on Sean’s face, ending on his cheek and chin.

Sean tilted his head, dumbfounded for a mont, and then suddenly lifted his head to grab her offending hand and pulled hard.

At first, Thea was afraid he would retaliate and took a step back.

"Ah..." Thea stumbled, using his force to directly fall onto him.

"Let go!"

Sean paid no attention to her, pinching her chin with one hand, checking her side to side, "If I slapped you, your face probably wouldn’t be presentable for a month."

"..." Thea glared at him, just as fiercely, "Try touching once."

Despite being afraid, to be honest, Sean wouldn’t hit her.

Sean burst into laughter, the fierce expression instantly collapsing.

His fingers on her chin hooked, lightly scratching her chin, teasing intention obvious.

"Threatening ?" Sean laughed, "Tsk, I like your style."

"No next ti." He wasn’t planning to haggle with her this ti.

"That Thea..."

An elderly voice suddenly sounded beside them, Thea’s spine stiffened, and she broke free from Sean’s hand to stand up.

Sean followed suit.

Not far away, not only Sean’s grandfather but also Ian Preston and Silas Cheney were present.

Their expressions ranged from delight to expressionless to shock.

Minds were everywhere.

Recalling the earlier posture, Thea stood by the side of the chair, dragged by Sean, half-lying on him.

Actually, it was nothing, but from a distance, at a glance, it was easy to misunderstand.

"Well, let’s go inside for dinner." Sean’s grandfather smiled and waved at Thea, not inquiring further.

Thea hesitated, wanting to explain. "I didn’t stand firm and accidentally fell."

Sean’s grandfather had a knowing look.

Seeing this, Thea curled her lips and didn’t continue speaking.

Saying more would only lead to more mistakes, continuing would seem like overcompensating.

Thea supported Sean’s grandfather back into the room, without caring whether the others followed.

——

Once Thea left, Sean casually tidied his upper garnt, "Brother Three and Brother Four looking for ?"

The two of them not leaving certainly ant there was sothing up.

Ian glanced at him without saying a word and turned to leave. Silas looked at Ian’s back, stepped up, and grabbed Sean’s collar, "What’s going on with you and Thea Lynch?"

"What’s going on? Just as you saw."

Silas: "..."

"Do you like Thea Lynch and want to be with her, or do you want to match her with Brother Three?"

Even soone as smart as Silas was baffled by Sean.

Others might not know, but Silas and Ian could see Sean’s feelings towards Thea Lynch were too obvious.

He just liked her.

Based on the tiline, Sean’s affection for Thea Lynch might have started even earlier than Brother Three’s.

It’s not surprising; their ages are closest, attending the sa school from childhood, spending so much ti together.

Sean having feelings for Thea Lynch makes sense.

He is inherently a weirdo, although his appearance and family background are superior, few girls dared approach him.

In his sight, there was only Thea Lynch.

But like is like, sotis Sean’s actions seem to overturn this hypothesis.

Take the recent events, for example.

Sean knows many secrets, he could keep them in his heart for life without revealing them. Thea definitely won’t bring them up, so as long as Sean stays silent, Ian could never find out, wouldn’t suddenly seek Thea, and clearly express his feelings for her from years before.

Evidently, this ti, Sean was aiming to assist.

But accidentally, Thea’s heart remained closed, not accepting it.

Which is why Silas started wavering, uncertain if Sean truly liked Thea Lynch or wanted to help Brother Three.

"Good question." Silas asked so directly for the first ti, Sean leaned on the railing, the laughter in his eyes undiminished.

Does he like Thea Lynch?

Probably.

Who knows.

He couldn’t say.

"I’d like to know too." His reply was vague again, sounding extrely dismissive.

But, he truly doesn’t know. Or more precisely, he fears confronting his own feelings.

Because it no longer matters.

Anyway, no matter how, Thea Lynch won’t like him.

"What are you really thinking? Can’t you give so clarity?"

"My thoughts are simple, Thea Lynch will eventually marry soone, since that’s the case, if she has to marry soone else, she might as well marry Brother Three. That’s it."

Indeed, in the future, soone will accompany Thea Lynch, and this person will certainly appear.

This person can be anyone, but definitely not him.

Since that’s how it is, it’s better to push her towards Ian.

Even though he never liked Ian, his cousin, since childhood, but he must admit Ian’s sincerity towards Thea Lynch.

Moreover, the two families are already so closely knit, their union is the best choice.

Silas finally understood his aning, "Do you also want to help Brother Three?"

Upon hearing this, Sean rolled his eyes, snatched his collar back, "You’re overthinking."

"I’m not helping Brother Three. I’m helping Thea Lynch."

"..." Silas squinted his eyes, "Are you sure Thea Lynch still likes Brother Three?"

But seeing Thea’s response... it didn’t quite seem like it.

If before Thea had feelings for Brother Three, he could believe it. As for now, he really couldn’t see through it.

Sean: "You want to know? Why should I tell you."

"..."

Taking a deep breath, Silas resisted the urge to explode.

"I can trade with you. First tell , seven years ago, the sentence Auntie conveyed, is it true?"

"Which sentence?" Silas grew wary.

"Brother Three said he wouldn’t like soone half deaf and half mute. Auntie said this was his original words."

"..." Silas was taken aback.

"Don’t pretend you don’t know."

"I really don’t know." Silas wasn’t lying, "I wasn’t in Coronet back then, you know that."

"Afterwards, Brother Three never ntioned it?"

"How can you bring up such a thing? But to be fair, that doesn’t sound like sothing Brother Three would say." Pausing, Silas said, "Okay, I’ll go and probe Brother Three."
