Chapter 891: Chapter 517: Relics from Five Epochs Ago

Everyone else was quietly discussing on the side, because they were all looking forward to whether that person would raise the price again.

“To bid to such an extent for such a trivial item, it’s really unexpected,” soone remarked.

“Exactly, exactly, it’s just a broken ceramic, I don’t even pay attention to it,” another added.

However, so people on the side could see so clues.

“Not necessarily, this ceramic bowl isn’t as simple as it seems; it contains spiritual power, it’s just that those who haven’t entered the threshold can’t feel it,” soone pointed out.

“But even with a bit of spiritual power, the bowl itself isn’t worth that much money; they’ve driven the price so high, it’s really not beneficial,” another chid in.

...

The person who had noticed the intricacies of the ceramic bowl suddenly slapped his forehead.

“I got it, the reason they’re bidding so fiercely might well be because there’s a grudge between the two of them!”

After his reminder, everyone else suddenly saw the light and realized that was the most likely possibility.

“But now that the price has reached 1.3 million, I’m afraid there won’t be further bidding, the value has completely overflowed!” soone speculated.

“Exactly, exactly, I think the one who ends up winning the bid is going to feel the pinch,” another concurred.

At this ti, the auctioneer was already preparing to make the third call.

He purposely waited a mont, just to see if Logan would continue to bid, but seeing there was no further activity, he finally made the decisive strike.

“Alright, 1.3 million for the third ti, auction successful!”

At that mont, Dwayne Johnson, who had been constantly raising the bids, was very scared. After all, 1.3 million was not a small sum.

He also hadn’t expected Logan to suddenly stop at that mont; he was both panic-stricken and surprised.

Although Dwayne’s family could afford 1.3 million, if his father and mother found out he spent that much on such an item, they probably wouldn’t let him off easily.

But now that the deal had been settled, there was no chance for regret even if he wanted to.

When everyone heard this number, they beca excited once again.

“My God, soone actually won the ceramic pot for 1.3 million; that’s so much money!”

“And then I noticed that towards the end, the bidder didn’t seem to do much, not even holding the bidding paddle, as if he had no intention of raising it,” soone observed.

“You say this person has been closely following the bids, what does he really an? Could it be, as we suspected, that there’s indeed a grudge between the two,” they theorized.

Others had initially thought that the person who started off with the most generous bids would win the auction item in the end, but to their surprise, it ended up in soone else’s hands.

Keth Johnson was also a wealthy heir, accustod to getting what he wants from auctions.

However, there wasn’t anything of interest at this auction for him.

It was only after learning that Logan was coming to the auction that he followed, with the sole purpose of unsettling Logan’s mindset.

But as it turned out, it seed he was the one who got unsettled by the end of the auction.

Soone imdiately approached, stopping outside his private room.

“Good day, Young Master Johnson, you’ve won this item. Would you like to go and make the paynt, then collect your item now?”

Keth Johnson was in the private room, his fingers cracking noisily, unable to believe that he had been so outplayed by Logan, feeling quite annoyed.

Having suffered at Logan’s hands twice now, he was determined not to make the sa mistake again.

Soon after, the auction ended, and everyone began to disperse.

Logan wasn’t particularly sorry about not winning the auction item he wanted.

It was just a crowd he joined; if there was sothing he really wanted, he would spare no effort to acquire it.

But as for today’s item, well, consider the 1.3 million a way to trick the other party.

Logan was about to head back when he was stopped halfway by Keth Johnson.

“Yo, we et again. I rember how you showed off in front of last ti, but you seem to be in a bad mood now. Is it because you didn’t get the auction item you wanted?” Keth taunted.

Upon seeing Keth with the auction item, and realizing it was the one he had competed for, Logan imdiately understood.

The sucker holding the overpriced ceramic was none other than the simple-minded, brawny Keth Johnson.

“The ceramic worth over a hundred thousand really does feel different in your hands,” Keth bragged.

Though Keth was feeling the sting of the price, he still smiled, trying his best to suppress the pained expression on his face.

Hearing that, Logan helplessly glanced at him.

He really didn’t want to say too much even though the other party seed so smug; it still didn’t affect him.

After being beaten by Logan once before, Keth was bitter, and now even more so.

As soon as he got the item Logan wanted, he imdiately went to flaunt it, while Logan stayed impassive as if he didn’t care about the ceramic worth over a hundred thousand.

Logan really wondered if his opponent was a clown.

The situation was entirely within Logan’s expectations, and even as Keth ca over to tell him off and gloat, Logan found it all quite ridiculous.

“You hold on to it, then. With over a hundred thousand at stake, you’d better not break it. Otherwise, you’ll have nowhere to go to bemoan your loss,” Logan said.

Logan thought Keth was foolish, but he didn’t want to elaborate on it.

After saying that, Logan simply turned and left.

Keth stood there, feeling as if he hadn’t finished what he wanted to say when Logan walked away.

“How can you just walk away like that? Aren’t you going to look at it?” he called out.

“This is the item you wanted, isn’t it? How co you won’t even give it a glance? Do you feel you’ve lost to and just can’t accept it in your heart?” Keth mocked.
