Chapter 827: Chapter 489: The Sacred Excalibur
The voices outside the arena rose and fell, but Logan could no longer hear them, his entire attention was focused on Luke Skyward before him.
The two punches he had just thrown seed to have inflicted serious injuries on Luke Skyward, but he was unsure of the actual situation.
Luke Skyward’s eyes were blood-red, and he stared at Logan with displeasure.
He was already angry because of the rule, and now Logan had stepped up, although his plan was to take down Snow Wood first before dealing with Logan. Seeing that Logan seed eager to seek his own death, there was no reason for him not to take Logan down.
He would use Logan’s fate as a stepping stone to pave his way to becoming the champion of the competition.
Two black wings extended from behind Luke Skyward, just like the wings of the Demon Race from the legends, which when unfolded could even obscure the sun.
Snow Wood had not expected Luke Skyward to unleash such a powerful move from the start. Although she didn’t know what Luke Skyward’s final trump card was, she absolutely could not afford to take the situation lightly.
All around the competition arena, flas rose, and Snow Wood frowned. She encircled the playing field with red flas and also restricted the height to prevent Luke Skyward from attacking the two of them from a higher vantage point.
Logan, quickly understanding her intention, slit his right palm again with a dagger, and red blood flowed out. He began drawing symbols while consuming healing pills to replenish his blood.
Drawing formations with blood yielded a stronger effect than using Spiritual Power or Spirit Stones.
After Logan drew the array, Snow Wood had also completed sealing off the entire area. The Demon-Lock Formation from earlier had already been mostly broken by Luke Skyward. It seed unlikely that it would be able to hold Luke Skyward any longer.
The Sect Leader of the Sky Demon Sect was intently watching Luke Skyward in the arena. He had given Luke Skyward his most precious trump card. If Luke Skyward lost, he felt like he wouldn’t be able to face the Sect Elders when he went back.
In an instant, Spiritual Energy billowed, temperatures soared, and the entire venue heated up rapidly, causing sweaty foreheads among the crowd.
Snow Wood’s capabilities were extraordinary. Despite the large area of the field, she could still control the flas with agility. It was unimaginable how proficient she would beco with fire attributes in the future.

Demon Cultivators in the audience showed disgust. They wanted to stand up against the unfair rules, but they couldn’t afford to ss with the organizers and causing trouble here would do them no good.

No one wished to compromise their interests for the sake of a young one on the Demon Path.
As countless flas and Logan’s formation launched an assault on him, Luke Skyward remained calm and took a Demonic Ring from his Spatial Bag and put it on his finger.
From the ring, an endless surge of Demonic Qi poured out, enveloping him in dark demonic mists.
“This rule is unfair from the start. But to , the two of you are just overestimating yourselves. Let’s see just how strong you can be. Even against two, I can surely defeat you!” Luke Skyward laughed heartily, appearing to be in the throes of insanity as many Human race Cultivators frowned.
They disliked mbers of the Demon Race and partly thought that those on the Demon Path were arrogant, always feeling superior to others in such situations.
But how could Human race Cultivators ever willingly admit to being inferior to anyone?
And so, the conflicts accumulated day by day.
Logan activated his Spirit Gathering Array. He didn’t care for Luke Skyward’s idle chatter, as ending this threat as soon as possible would make it less difficult later on.
He had decided to contend for second place, but he still wanted to test whether he and Snow Wood would have the strength to fight.
Spirit Stones burned furiously, Spiritual Energy dissipated in the air. Snow Wood hadn’t fought Logan head-on before and only after feeling the Spiritual Power in the air did she realize what thod Logan was using.
That thod was a shortcut and not a lasting solution. The main issue was that Spirit Stones would eventually run out, and by using all his Spirit Stones on Luke Skyward, Logan certainly wouldn’t be able to perform at a hundred percent against her later on.
Thinking this, Snow Wood felt a twinge of regret but also a bit of relief.
The regret was for not being able to witness Logan’s ultimate strength, and the relief was that if Logan exhausted a bit of his strength and Spiritual Power on Luke Skyward, then her chance of inheriting the Saint Emperor Legacy seed all but certain.
Snow Wood was montarily lost in thought, and it was in that instant that Luke Skyward broke free from the confinent of the flas and formations.
His expression was maniacal, and he brandished a longsword wreathed in Demonic Qi, charging at the two of them.
