The high-speed train reached its destination, and Zhang Yuan, having escaped from those unwieldy, fanatical Half-sphere fans, directly attended an Alliance eting located above the Kyushu Planet.

Yes, in the eyes of the Half-sphere people, he was a true superstar. Wherever he went, as long as there were Half-sphere people, they would swarm around him asking about "clone ancestors," then clap enthusiastically.

It was really annoying after being asked repeatedly!

He just wanted to be a quiet scientist!

Fortunately, once he entered the elevator of the Alliance eting building, there were basically no such fanatical maniacs anymore. The Half-sphere people working here were very cultured and could perfectly control their emotions.

Since it was a formal Alliance, if there really needed to be diplomacy, it would be mutual, but led primarily by the New Human Civilization. The Half-sphere Civilization and the Tos Civilization didn’t have much rapport; they rely provided auxiliary support and so basic suggestions.

"Has the communication information been sent?"

Zhang Yuan found his seat and asked a coworker nearby.

The colleague answered easily, "It has been sent, but up until now, we haven’t received any response."

"No response? Maybe there hasn’t been enough ti yet..." Zhang Yuan frowned but didn’t think too much about it, quietly waiting before any real news ca out.

This feeling of facing old friends always evoked excitent. There’s an old saying: wealth unshown at ho is like wearing brocade at night.

Facing old friends, one must show off their riches: Look, we’re so powerful now, I’ve got your back! Just thinking about it was exhilarating.

He glanced at the Half-sphere Leader sitting opposite him, that round-headed fellow was in a daze, seemingly without any specific opinions. The Half-sphere Leader noticed Zhang Yuan’s gaze and desperately wanted to clap with enthusiasm, but in such a formal setting, he struggled to restrain himself.

The journey had a clearly stated final destination from the beginning. Those Axolotls were a more serene civilization and were simple to interact with, additionally possessing their own unique science tree—making them excellent collaborators.

Because these public data had already been obtained, the Half-sphere Civilization did not outright object and agreed to co here for Alliance cooperation. Otherwise, the Half-sphere people weren’t foolish, blindly introducing a Fourth-level Civilization would only lower their status in the Alliance.

Thus, they waited for an hour. The number of people in the eting room gradually increased, and discussions beca increasingly heated. Everyone was contemplating how to cooperate fairly in the future—balancing a trilateral alliance was much more complicated than a bilateral one.

Just as Zhang Yuan was feeling drowsy, suddenly his communicator vibrated and the crowd around him burst into chaos.

"Sothing happened!"

"The South Pole Star Observatory has observed a spaceship wreckage!"

"They’ve had an accident!"

Zhang Yuan hurriedly opened his eyes and turned on the screen on the table. His heart pounded several tis—the astronors had observed a large spaceship wreckage, its length of at least 10 kiloters indicating it once was a mid-sized spaceship, capable of carrying a population of at least a million!

What did the appearance of a spaceship wreckage here signify?

"Could our old friends, the Tos Civilization, already have been annihilated by an unknown enemy?"

A sudden chill ran through Zhang Yuan’s heart, and in just that mont, cold sweat broke out on his back.

This news was not good; he could only silently pray.

Imdiately after, he took a deep breath to calm down the deep emotions inside.

The accuracy of the detection ssage was confird within ten minutes, and the entire Alliance quickly entered "war ergency mode." All outdoor activities were halted, and crowds of tourists at the observatory were driven back to underground shelters by soldiers.

Each spaceship took off and patrolled the surroundings to guard against unknown enemies.

All the people present were not fools. The Tos Civilization, being a Fourth-level Civilization, would likely not fare well if even their flagship, a formidable Fourth-level Civilization vessel, was destroyed. The technological strength of the Tos Civilization was not weak; although they lacked a War Star, being a Fourth-level Civilization, escaping from enemies should be of no issue.

Would this unknown crisis involve humans as well?

The thought tightened everyone’s hearts.

"Why did this happen? What exactly occurred?"

"Did sothing happen to the Tos Civilization? Have their large flagships been observed?"

"Let’s not rush. Astronomical observations are still ongoing."

As ti ticked by second by second, the number of images sent from the observatory began to increase substantially, many of which were wrecks of large spaceships.

One, two, three... a total of four spaceships, each over 10 kiloters long, were found. The farthest one was about 130 astronomical units from the Constant Star, and with a diater exceeding 20 kiloters, it was considered a large flagship of the Tos Civilization.

There were also remainders of smaller spaceships, 26 in total.

As for whether there were more wrecks of spaceships not yet discovered by telescopes, it was highly likely. It is quite difficult to explore the dark starry sky completely with just telescopes.

According to the photos, the colonized planets of the Tos Civilization appeared dark, and the nuclear fusion lights above seed to have gone out.

After a while, a group of soldiers rushed into the conference room again, and after exchanging so opinions, the captain said with a slightly rushed tone, "...Please remain calm, our soldiers have not found any potential crisis in the vicinity!"

"No communications have been received from the Tos Civilization either."

"So we can most likely infer that the Tos Civilization has encountered a disaster. It is regrettable, but it has indeed happened."

"The cause of the accident might be internal or external. If it’s external, I believe it’s more necessary to investigate rather than just leave this place. In the future, we too might face similar risks!"

Before he had finished speaking, the Half-sphere Leader seated across the round conference table agreed, "Yes, we agree with your view. Leaving here directly might grant us temporary safety, but in the long run, we may miss a good opportunity to investigate."

A Fourth-level Civilization, if completely defeated in a war, would likely be overrun by a Level 5 Civilization!

The most dangerous Level 5 Civilization in the Milky Way was none other than the Alef Civilization, the new Galaxy Governance!

Humans knew almost nothing about this potential enemy.

"Although we can’t rule out the involvent of other civilizations, Alef Civilization is the most suspicious."

Zhang Yuan nodded; if they could find so clues here and understand so characteristics of Level 5 Civilization weapons, they might develop corresponding defensive asures, which could help in future survival and developnt.

Captain Feng said, "So next, we need more detailed investigative data. Holding a eting here is pointless; our reconnaissance drone unit has already deployed. Our primary task is to investigate the reasons this flagship was destroyed, the period during which the war occurred, and... whether there are any survivors inside the base!"

"Yes, survivors!"
