Two days later was the official day of negotiations, and frankly, there wasn’t much to say. Humans straightforwardly made their first demand—the New Human Civilization wanted to purchase the bionic technology of the other side.

The Half-sphere Civilization also made their own demands, desiring Curvature Technology to beco a bona fide Fourth-level Civilization.

However, the technological value of each side was completely unequal, and the New Human Civilization naturally would not agree to a bad deal, at most only being willing to sell a few Curvature Spaceships to them.

But by doing this, the Half-sphere Civilization was sowhat unwilling. They believed that they lacked the ability to replicate Curvature Technology through reverse engineering.

The Half-sphere people felt that a few Curvature Spaceships would not be very useful.

After so back and forth over ti, the Half-sphere Civilization retreated and proposed another plan: They wanted the most advanced Auxiliary Brain Technology and knowledge of genetic mory!

"Yes, that is the series of upgraded versions of the technology that has been traded before."

When Kate Promis proposed this condition, she was so excited she wanted to spin her head around and wished she could applaud vigorously. Curvature and the like were just a smoke screen; this was their real demand.

The prospect of the revered "Sage" soon being replicated made all Half-sphere people extrely excited. Their butts seed to almost want to twist as if dancing a yangge.

But to avoid revealing their true intentions, these fellows forcibly held themselves back, motionless like robots...

"The most advanced Auxiliary Brain Technology... genetic mory?" The speaker was Zhang Yuan. Looking at the series of specifications proposed by the other side, he was suddenly taken aback.

What was genetic mory?

Humans had never developed so-called genetic mory!

He pondered for a mont and then understood what the Half-sphere people had in mind.

"So that’s it, it’s the mory technology from the cycles of the Transcendents that they’ve mistaken for genetic mory."

"But the cycle of a Transcendent is fundantally different from genetic mory..."

Looking down at the information, the technical specifications demanded by the other side were very high; even the most advanced version of the Human Auxiliary Brain struggled with the idea of transferring one person’s mories to another’s mind.

"Previously traded knowledge has always been a modified, weakened version. Now they want the most advanced version."

Zhang Yuan contemplated to himself: "No, it’s not feasible. The most advanced Auxiliary Brain involves mory issues that need to be linked through Virtual World Technology, and it’s not about so haphazard mory transfer. Now, without Virtual World Technology, giving the Half-sphere Civilization this knowledge is useless!"

"To trade knowledge related to the Virtual World, can the Half-sphere people afford the stakes? Forget it, just speak directly about security issues."

Zhang Yuan did not know how to explain, so he could only attribute it to security issues.

"Your Excellency, this technology concerns our side’s security issues."

In such a situation, there was no need for deliberate extortion; if it’s not possible, then it’s not possible.

Now Kate Promis was a bit anxious. Thinking that the great dream of an entire civilization was about to be dashed, she wanted to spin her head around her neck vertebrae in frustration.

However, sitting at the negotiation table, it was impossible to show such urgency on one’s face.

She spoke a bit bluntly: "Your Excellency, the advanced technology you speak of involves security concerns for your side; our advanced technology also concerns our side’s security..."

The Half-sphere person ant that if you’re worried about your security, don’t you think we Half-sphere people are concerned about our security? We’ve already offered good stuff, isn’t it a bit dishonorable to keep things hidden? How can we continue with this transaction?

Zhang Yuan spoke calmly: "You make a good point, which is why for the sake of security for both sides, let’s put this deal on hold for now... Of course, we have the most advanced Auxiliary Brain, but the genetic mory you ntioned is Level 5 Civilization technology, which our side does not possess. We truly don’t have it, I’m very sorry."

Zhang Yuan followed the other party’s train of thought and played tai chi.

He exchanged glances with his companions. Although they were eager for the other side’s bionic technology, it was still better to be cautious about anything related to the Virtual World, even a little exposure was too much.

Moreover, he felt a bit baffled, wondering what exactly was going through the minds of these Half-sphere people. They had already purchased Auxiliary Brain technology once; couldn’t they just develop it on their own? Why would they want to buy it a second ti at a high price?

Was it that they lacked the ability to develop it?

Or was it that—the objective was not in the wine?

The true genetic mory was orders of magnitude more expensive than bionic technology; even if humans had it, these Half-sphere people could not afford it!

Zhang Yuan frowned, thinking for a long ti without coming to any conclusion. No matter how clever he was, he could not guess the real intentions of the Half-sphere Civilization, which was to revive their so-called ancestors.

"..."

After being rejected, the subsequent negotiations obviously beca sowhat disorganized for the Half-sphere people, preventing any significant breakthroughs in the next steps of cooperation.

This was a perfectly normal occurrence; a vast transaction involving thousands of AmiBa Points could be discussed for months or even years without being a problem.

As long as the negotiations did not break down, Zhang Yuan and the other delegates did not take the matter to heart... After the negotiations ended, they simply returned to their own spaceship to rest and deal with the curvature. There was no need to rush; things would happen in due ti.

Only the Half-sphere people appeared agitated... Real impatience and urgently so!

To replicate great figures was the utmost dream of their entire civilization, aspiring even more than acquiring Curvature Technology—a noble ideal "engraved" deep within their mories!

But the other side was dilly-dallying as if they didn’t really want to cooperate, which simply infuriated them!

If they weren’t absolutely certain that they couldn’t beat the other side, these Half-sphere people might have even considered robbery.

Once back in their own quarters, these Half-sphere people imdiately began to discuss.

"Do the New Human Civilization know our real objective? Do they want more bargaining chips? Are they trying to extort us?"

"Unlikely, it’s highly improbable... Keep calm, we should be calr, think of another way."

One of the Half-sphere people’s minds began to race. "Yes, I understand. It’s indeed impossible for them to possess real genetic mory... A civilization with such technology would have been Level 5 Civilization already! But clearly, their understanding of mory and self-awareness far exceeds ours... It’s just that they don’t want to sell right now! It’s not extortion; they simply don’t want to sell."

Kate Promis paced back and forth in the room, seeing many Half-sphere Civilization diplomats doing the classic motion of ’head spinning around the neck,’ indicating their intense urgency—a desire coming from the depths of their hearts!
