Chapter 477: Chapter 475: Circular Fortress

Day by day passed, and various scientific, cultural exchange, and trade activities were carried out in an orderly fashion. Zhang Yuan had even attended an alien-hosted free concert enthusiastically with a group of companions. Yes, free events definitely shouldn’t be missed.

However, the frequencies of the sounds at the concert were all ultrasonic… so everyone ended up looking like foolish geese, wasting a few hours for nothing…

Beyond that, the group also visited the so-called “Green Star Civilization Museum” of a certain civilization. Since the Green Star Civilization had vanished from the Milky Way, the remnants had beco highly valuable cultural products. The Green Star Civilization was renowned for its powerful biological slting technology; most items in the museum were bizarre biological beings. Zhang Yuan had witnessed sothing resembling a man-eating plant consuming ore and then spitting out tal products…

Well, humans didn’t need this kind of biotechnology, but it was still an experience of another technological tree in the universe.

The leisure ti always passed quickly, and on the 98th day in the marketplace, the Huantai Civilization suddenly sent a notification.

“Respected Human civilization, greetings. Your trade application with the Hicks Civilization has been placed in the first position. Please make the necessary preparations before Cosmic Ti AD782345-7821-0098, thank you!”

“The specific trade details are as follows…”

This ti, converted to human standard ti, was roughly 2:00 PM on the third day. Everyone beca extrely excited upon hearing this news and then began to prepare the relevant materials, getting so rest as well.

This brief preparation ti passed quickly, and everyone donned their latest TX-007 model Power Armors and entered an alien spaceship from the Huantai Civilization.

Because it was crucial, the entire diplomatic team comprised only seven people, and Zhang Yuan was, indeed, one of them… Essentially, he was to handle the “relationship building” work.

After all, Zhang Yuan was the only human who had ever encountered life forms from the Gaia Faction.

What if the other side recognized them? Perhaps… he could beg for so items?

Well, not exactly beg? More like… plead?

The materials they carried weren’t extensive, just so storage devices, storing detailed human history from the Stone Age to the modern era, including the history of various big and small countries, totaling about 150 million words, covering various encyclopedias. Of course, the more recent the history, the more concise it beca, particularly the parts regarding the Virtual World, which were deleted.

There were also various artworks, music pieces, sculptures, all packed into a large box.

Including the painting “Starry Night” that the painter Elwin had given to Zhang Yuan when they left in the Earth Era. This painting was regarded as a masterful art of the new civilization and was Zhang Yuan’s personal property… but for the sake of the entire civilization, contributing it wasn’t a problem.

Lastly, there were historical and cultural artifacts collected from lower civilizations along the way.

All the materials together filled a cubic ter box.

The spaceship of the Huantai Civilization was approximately two kiloters in diater, shaped like a large flying saucer. Since the Level 4 Civilization had not yet achieved artificial gravity, the outer rim of the saucer slowly rotated to simulate gravity. Hence, once everyone entered the spaceship, they found themselves in a low-gravity state.

“Phew…” Zhang Yuan took a deep breath. The feeling of boarding an alien spaceship was quite subtle; he looked around at the tals used in the entire room but couldn’t discern much.

“If we could also have our own trade market, that would be great.”

The benefits of a trading platform were obvious to everyone. Even humans had gained a lot throughout these days; what might the host of this marketplace, Huantai Civilization, have gained in these million years?

However, for so unknown reason, Huantai Civilization remained at Level 4.

It seed as though there was an insurmountably difficult Great Divide standing between all interstellar civilizations. The Philosophy Tree was not so easy to climb, and perhaps Huantai Civilization still didn’t know what they should do in the future, nor did they know what cause to dedicate their lives to.

“Yes,” whispered Chen Mu, the Foreign Minister, “the key is to have good credibility and sufficiently strong power; at least a few Planet Fortresses are needed, otherwise it’s all just an illusion.”

Zhang Yuan, struck by a sudden idea, said, “Actually, humans have already split into several different civilizations; if we go back, is there a possibility to establish a Human Trade Alliance?”

Chen Mu shook his head, “It’s possible, but not very useful. All are humans, with similar cultures, identical anatomies, nearly identical technological trees, and similar modes of thought. Such an alliance, I think, doesn’t have much significance; it’s just an increase in population, not comparable to a mult-civilizational trade market.”

“That makes sense.”

During this conversation, the flying disc broke free from the planet’s gravity, started Curvature Navigation, and began high-speed interstellar travel. All the exterior scenes seed to be enveloped by a giant soap bubble, becoming blurred. As they hadn’t brought any instrunts, Zhang Yuan and the others could only watch with their eyes, wishing they could record more data with their Power Armors…

About three hours later, the flying disc approached an outer region that seed like a transparent circular fortress.

Then, everyone got onto a huge vehicle looking sowhat like a human bullet head, with an interior space large enough to hold hundreds of people.

The vehicle started slowly and smoothly.

“You needn’t worry too much… every data transmission in Superluminal Communication is very expensive, and the Hicks Civilization will cover all costs…”

“But also, I hope you will not send any false content. If a lot of false content is identified, your civilization will be blacklisted.”

“Of course not. We aren’t interstellar robbers.”

Inside the vehicle, they were t by a guide from the Huantai Civilization, a Cocos-shaped Wart, followed by several large and long giant insects that might be soldiers or servants. Since all the insects were wearing chanical devices, it was hard to discern their body structure.

But from the length, each giant insect appeared to be about 3 ters long, with a brain-tumor-like protrusion in the middle of the body, from which several tentacle-like appendages sprouted.

Anyway, they didn’t look particularly cute.

Zhao Qingfeng couldn’t help asking, “So, the Hicks Civilization won’t make direct contact with us?”

“Typically, that’s the case. The Hicks Civilization isn’t in the Milky Way. You just need to transmit all your data… If your historical and cultural materials are diocre, the other party will directly pay a certain amount of AmiBa Points and will not converse with you.”

“If your historical and cultural materials are particularly interesting, they might choose to converse with you… Of course, this probability is very small, perhaps once in tens of thousands of years.”

Zhang Yuan looked out at the scenery, the circular fortress appeared quite spacious, almost like a grand religious temple, and from the inside looking out, it was actually transparent, allowing a view of the brilliant Galaxy Star sky.

“May I boldly ask, is this flying saucer built by the Amoeba Civilization for you? How can one join the Amoeba Faction?”
