Natalie hung up the phone and wanted to go over imdiately, but suddenly rembered Sylvia Vaughn and Kiki.
She looked at the two, and before she could explain, Sylvia said, "If you have sothing to do, just go."
Natalie nodded, opened the door, and left.
Just as she left, Isaac ca back.
When he opened the door, he didn’t see Natalie; instead, it was his aunt and his niece.
Kiki excitedly rushed over and hugged him tightly.
Isaac lowered his head, rubbed the little girl’s head, and chatted with her in sign language for a couple of sentences.
"Why are you two here? Where’s Natalie?"
"She had sothing to attend to and left."
Isaac frowned slightly, took out his phone, and called Natalie, but no one answered.
"Did she say where she was going?"
"No."
Isaac signed to Kiki that he had sothing to do and would accompany her next ti.
Kiki sensibly let go of him.
"I’ll be going first."
"Wait."
Isaac was about to leave when his aunt called him.
"Can we talk for a bit?"
Isaac raised an eyebrow, "About what?"
"Natalie has amnesia now and has announced your relationship to all of Janton. Have you thought about what will happen one day if she regains her mory?"
Isaac’s face darkened.
Sylvia sighed, walked a few steps closer, and patted his shoulder, "I think you should tell Natalie everything."
Tell her?
How to tell?
Tell her that his love is not pure, but mixed with impurities?
Right now, Natalie trusts and relies on him wholeheartedly.
The more it is like this, the more he doesn’t dare to speak.
——
Kestrelle Street.
Natalie arrived at the place and knocked on the door.
After a long while, soone ca to open the door.
The person first opened the door a crack, saw it was Natalie outside, and asked, "Did you co alone?"
Natalie replied, "Just ."
Only then did the person open the door a bit wider, their voice hoarse, "Co in."
Natalie hesitated for two seconds, then stepped inside.
As soon as she entered, the door was shut.
At this mont, she recognized who the person in front of her was.
"Lana?"
Helen Cross was a servant by her grandfather’s side.
No one knows what she had been through, but Helen’s state was very poor.
Her face was pale and bloodless, eye sockets dark, and both cheeks deeply sunken, looking as if she had lost about twenty pounds.
"Lana, did you call ? What’s going on? What did you an on the phone?"
Helen licked her dry lips, her gaze sowhat evasive.
"...Money."
"What?"
"I said give money!" Helen suddenly glared at Natalie, her expression fierce, "You give money! Then I’ll tell you how Old Mr. Beckett died!"
"What are you saying?" Natalie was shocked and stunned.
Wasn’t her grandfather’s death due to a heart attack?
"Money! Give money! Give money, and I’ll tell you!" Helen’s ntal state seed off; she just kept shouting for money.
Natalie looked at her, suppressed the shock in her heart, and decided to calm her down first, "Lana, calm down. If you urgently need money, I can give it to you."
"Really? I want thirty million!" Helen asks an exorbitant price.
"I can do that, but I’ll need so ti to prepare it."
"How long? I don’t have ti. They’re going to cut off my brother’s hand, I don’t have ti, I really don’t..."
Helen mumbled, suddenly yelled at Natalie, "I want it right now! Thirty million! Give it to ! Give it to quickly!"
She rushed at Natalie, grabbed her shoulders, and shook her violently, "They’ll cut off my brother’s hand! And his foot!"
"Lana, calm down!"
Natalie finally broke free from Helen’s grip, "You need to tell what you know first. I promise I’ll give you the money."
"...He, he killed Old Mr. Beckett." Helen said, trembling.
Natalie forced down her shock, enunciated, "Who? Who are you saying killed my grandfather?"
Helen opened her mouth, suddenly her eyes turned fierce.
"You need to give the money first!"
"Do you have evidence?" Natalie asked coldly, "How do I know what you’re saying is true based on just your word?"
"I, I recorded a video." Helen shrank back, licking her dry lips, "You give money, and I’ll give you the video."
——
After coming out, Natalie received a call from Isaac.
"Little Ear, where did you go?"
"I’m on Kestrelle Street."
"Alright, I’ll co pick you up."
Half an hour later.
Isaac arrived.
Natalie got into his car.
"What were you doing here?" Isaac saw her face didn’t look right and asked.
Natalie looked at him and asked, "Could you lend so money?"
"How much do you need?"
"...Thirty million, is that okay?" Natalie said, feeling embarrassed.
It’s not thirty thousand or three hundred thousand, but thirty million.
Isaac didn’t hesitate at all, "Sure."
Natalie breathed a sigh of relief, "I’ll write an IOU for you."
Isaac chuckled, reached out, and tapped her nose, "Are you silly? What’s our relationship? Forgot? My money is your money."
Natalie pressed her lips together.
He continued, "And your money is still your money."
"Moreover, you’re now the chairwoman of Beckett Group, worth over a hundred billion."
Natalie was stunned.
She hadn’t thought of this.
She still had no real sense of being the chairwoman of Beckett Group.
"Thirty million, when do you need it?"
"As soon as possible?"
"Tomorrow morning, will that be okay?"
This was much sooner than Natalie expected, she breathed a sigh of relief and nodded, "That’ll be fine."
"Good."
Isaac started the car.
After driving for a while, Natalie curiously asked him, "Why don’t you ask why I need so much money?"
"You must have a use for it." Isaac glanced at her, "If you want to tell , then tell . If not, then you don’t have to."
Natalie pressed her lips together and turned to look out the car window.
——
The next day, Natalie took a card with thirty million and went back to 27 Kestrelle Street.
But Helen was nowhere to be found.
She called Helen, but her phone was off.
Helen had disappeared.
Natalie calmly thought for a mont and finally decided to tell Isaac about it.
Isaac listened and his expression turned serious.
"I’ll get soone to look for her."
"Do you think she’ll be okay?"
Isaac couldn’t guarantee.
He wrapped an arm around Natalie’s shoulders, seeing her eyes downcast and her face full of worry.
"What are you thinking about?"
Natalie looked up at him, "Who do you think hurt my grandfather?"
Isaac’s gaze flickered, "Let’s not imagine the worst for now. We’ll know once we find Helen."
"I want to go to Mount Corvix."
"Okay, I’ll go with you."
——
Mount Corvix.
Natalie hadn’t been there in a long ti.
Everything here was just as it was when Sebastian Beckett was alive.
Isaac accompanied Natalie to the study.
Natalie ran her fingers over the desk and chair.
She used to sign here while her grandfather sat beside her.
That scene felt like just yesterday.
But her grandfather was no longer there.
Isaac saw her mood was low and wanted to offer so comfort, but as his eyes inadvertently swept over the safe embedded in the bookshelf, his gaze darkened.
Inside that safe was a docunt signed by him and Old Mr. Beckett.
If Natalie saw the contents of that docunt, he couldn’t imagine the consequences.
He was just thinking this when suddenly he saw Natalie step towards the safe.
