Later the staff realized it was their own misunderstanding, making a big fuss over nothing and apologizing repeatedly.

But afterward, they still huddled together to discuss, saying those two really look perfect together.

"Besides, didn’t you see the way they looked at each other? Sparks were flying."

"I bet there’s no way their relationship is clean. The woman’s about to marry soone else, but maybe the guy will crash the wedding."

Just then, a mocking female voice cut in:

"Crash the wedding? Do you even know what their relationship is?"

Jessica suddenly appeared right in front of the two staff mbers.

The custors chatting at their backs were caught, making the two staff go pale and break out in a nervous cold sweat.

Jessica looked at them coldly, and just thinking about what they said—Natalie and Isaac were a perfect match—made jealousy and hatred roil in her chest.

But then, after a second thought, she was relieved.

Natalie was about to marry Jason Grant.

Isaac Vaughn and Jason Grant were uncle and nephew—like that would really happen, crashing a wedding?

——

Vanessa Grant had sothing to take care of, so she asked Isaac to give Natalie a ride ho.

Isaac went straight ahead and took her to a hotel instead.

Initially, he was thinking if she refused, he’d just carry her over anyway.

But to his surprise, she quietly and obediently followed him.

They rode the elevator up, then walked into the suite he’d already booked.

As soon as they went in, Isaac hugged her and kissed her right away.

Soon she started sneakily kissing him back.

Isaac’s eyes turned dark. He picked her up, face to face, and headed toward the inner room.

They fell onto the bed, but then he slowed down, his long fingers tracing over her cheek.

"So you’re giving a slap then a candy, huh?"

First she agreed to the wedding just to piss him off, now she was being this obedient.

"You think if you go along with a few tis, I’ll just give in and let you go to that bullshit wedding?"

Natalie said nothing, lying beneath him, looking up at him with those wide, innocent deer eyes.

Isaac felt a fire ignite inside him as she looked at him.

Desire, burning hot.

The kind that just won’t burn out.

He captured her lips, stealing away all her oxygen, even as if he could take everything from her lungs too.

She was sweet, so soft.

She let him do whatever he wanted to her.

But she didn’t know the darkness in a man’s heart.

The more she was like this, the less likely he was to treat her gently.

To take sothing beautiful, pure—and ruin it, stain it.

That’s the kind of evil hunger a man can’t keep down inside.

Isaac had wanted to break her.

But she only frowned, sniffled softly, yet still tried her best to cooperate with him, stretching out her legs for him.

He cursed under his breath, ended things quickly, then pulled her into his arms and pressed a hard kiss to her forehead.

"You little deaf thing, just keep torturing , why don’t you."

While talking, he pinched her chin, his eyes cold and intense as he stared into hers: "But I’m telling you now, there is no way in hell that wedding will happen."

Their eyes t for a long mont.

Suddenly, she wrinkled her nose and said, "I’m really hungry," then buried her face in his chest.

Isaac let out a helpless laugh and bit her earlobe: "Didn’t I just feed you?"

"Seriously hungry!" She blushed furiously and glared at him hard.

Isaac accepted his fate and got up to call for room service.

After eating their fill, the two curled up together and slept.

They slept until evening, only to be woken by a ringing phone.

Isaac reached for the phone—seeing it was his uncle calling, he answered and put it on speaker.

"Isaac, where are you?"

"Out. What’s up, Uncle? Sothing wrong?"

Jason hesitated for a long while before finally getting to the point.

He wanted to borrow money from Isaac again.

"Don’t worry, Isaac. Once I marry Natalie, I swear I’ll pay you back every cent."

Natalie was lying in Isaac’s arm, and when she heard this, she stayed perfectly still, not reacting at all.

Isaac looked down at her.

"Uncle, I can lend you the money. That’s not a problem."

He paused, then coolly added, "But Uncle, are you sure this wedding will actually happen?"

Jason was silent for a few seconds, then snorted, "Natalie really does have a man on the side."

Isaac narrowed his eyes, pinching Natalie’s jaw as he t her gaze.

Natalie signed: It’s you.

Jason sneered, "But she agreed, didn’t she? You think she’ll back out for so other man? The Beckett family would never accept that."

"But Isaac, you just reminded of sothing—the old man kept telling to get things over with and sleep with Natalie, make it a done deal. My thought is, if she gets pregnant, she’ll accept her fate and be tied to for good."

Isaac could clearly feel the body in his arms go stiff at those words.

Cold fury welled up in Natalie’s eyes.

"Too many variables. Isaac, book a hotel room for today, call Natalie over, then pick up from the hospital. I’ll try to get her pregnant tonight and end this."

Before Isaac could answer, Natalie grabbed the phone and hung up.

Her chest rose and fell with anger, her face ashen, brows furrowed—clearly furious.

Isaac reached for her, but she elbowed him in her anger.

He let out a muffled grunt and pressed close to her ear to soothe her softly: "Don’t be mad."

And just then, Jason called again.

Isaac ignored it and put his phone on silent.

"Now you see, my uncle is even more of a bastard than you’d think. You still want to marry him?"

Natalie looked at him, "If I don’t marry him, then who?"

Isaac raised an eyebrow, pinched her nose, "Are you hinting at ?"

They already had their marriage certificate.

If she wanted a ceremony, he’d go along with it.

"Isn’t that simple? We can just pick a chapel. Hell, let Franklin Finch be our witness."

"That’s it?" Natalie blinked.

"Aren’t you afraid of other people finding out? You sure you want the whole world to see?"

Natalie shook her head.

Isaac saw how disappointed she looked and pulled her close by the shoulders.

"Then let’s have the wedding abroad. On a lawn, or a beach—whatever you want. Invite whatever foreigners you like—they won’t know us. We can kiss right in front of them."

Natalie smiled, her look seed genuinely touched by him.

She looked at him for a long ti, then beckoned him closer with her finger.

Isaac leaned in to listen, and she whispered, "Isaac, let tell you a secret."

He realized sothing, and heard her say, "Isaac, in the entire world, you’re the one I love the most." Even if you really are a bastard.

The world is so big, and yet Natalie said she loves him most of all.

Isaac was briefly stunned, not knowing what to do with her sudden confession.

Natalie said again, "I am the person in the world who loves you most."

Isaac stared at her, at a loss for words.

There had been many who liked him before, and there’d be many more in the future.

But Natalie wanted to be the one who loved him most.

A shadow flickered across his eyes.

He suddenly rembered Franklin Finch urging him to get a divorce as soon as possible.

No way in hell he was divorcing.

If she loved him this much, obviously he had to keep her by his side for life.

Isaac decided to do sothing more.

The tide of passion rolled back in, fiercer than ever.

Natalie buried her head in the pillow, only to be dragged back out by him again.

He kissed her ear lobe, lifted her hair to kiss the back of her neck.

Natalie whimpered, tried to push him away, but in the end just trembled and lted into his arms.

After they cald down, Isaac picked up his phone to check the ti, only to see over a dozen missed calls from his mother.

This was urgent.

His face darkened as he imdiately called back.

The phone was quickly answered, Vanessa Grant’s anxious and angry voice bursting out:

"Sweetheart, where are you? Are you at a hotel? Who did you go to a hotel with? How could you do this!"

Had they...been found out?

In Isaac’s arms, Natalie suddenly clutched his arm, her face going utterly pale.
