Her hand landed on Isaac Vaughn’s face, soft and fluffy.

Natalie Kendall squinted her eyes and pinched his cheek.

Just looking at it seed painful.

Lucas Lowell watched the show, amused.

Mia had a wooden expression.

Isaac Vaughn wore a doting expression.

After pinching for a while, Natalie let go, closed her eyes, and nestled into Isaac’s arms.

Isaac sighed helplessly, unable to bear waking her: "Little Ear, don’t sleep yet, be a good girl and press the password."

He was coaxing her when Lucas approached from behind.

Isaac glanced over sideways, his gentle tone turning cold: "Thanks for bringing her back."

The implication was that they could leave.

Lucas crossed his arms, scoffing, clearly not planning to leave.

Mia understood Isaac’s aning and said, "I’ll go first..."

Before she could finish, Lucas shot her a sharp look.

He quickly strode over, grabbed Mia, and held her in his arm, gritting his teeth: "Why leave? We’re not leaving yet."

Mia ntally rolled her eyes, giving a forced smile: "Why not leave?"

"Natalie drank too much, can you feel safe leaving her alone?"

Lucas said, turning to face Isaac’s cold expression and continued, "You’re divorced, it’s not appropriate for a single man and woman to be together. I’m good friends with Natalie and it’s necessary to ensure her personal safety."

Mia thought Lucas was talking nonsense and had solid proof, but she didn’t dare to speak.

Isaac couldn’t be bothered with Lucas, continuing to talk to the sleeping Natalie in his arms: "Little Ear, wake up, press the password."

But Natalie didn’t react, already passed out from drunkenness.

Isaac sighed, then picked her up horizontally and headed for the elevator.

Lucas imdiately chased after: "What are you doing, where are you taking her?"

"To a hotel."

"What?!" Lucas exclaid, squeezing into the elevator.

Mia hesitated about taking the stairs, finding Lucas embarrassing, but he pulled her into the elevator, "We’re going too!"

Mia: "..."

*

At the hotel.

Lucas opened a room next door with Mia.

Mia was utterly speechless at his ineffective monitoring.

She wanted to go ho, but Lucas wouldn’t allow it.

Thus, she had to hug a pillow on the sofa.

Lucas was flattening himself against the wall, listening to the room next door, turned his head and saw her, frowning: "What are you doing?"

Mia lay down, "I’m sleeping here."

"No way! You sleep in the bed. I’m a man, how can I let a girl sleep on the sofa, am I that unchivalrous?" Lucas asserted firmly.

Taking his words, Mia cheerfully got up, "Okay, thank you, Mr. Lowell."

Then she safely transferred to the comfortable big bed, snuggling into the down quilt.

Lucas coughed softly, heading to the sofa.

But he was 185 cm tall, and the sofa couldn’t accommodate his long legs.

No matter how he lay, it was uncomfortable, so after a few minutes of struggling, he decisively got up and headed for the big bed.

Mia sensed soone lying down next to her, reflexively jerking upright.

"What are you doing?" Lucas looked startled at her.

Mia, with a serious and earnest expression, said, "Mr. Lowell, what do you an by this? I don’t accept unspoken rules."

Lucas nearly choked on his own spit, his handso face turning red as he shouted, "Who wants to take advantage of you! How could I possibly take advantage of you! I’m totally not interested in your type, okay!"

After yelling, he suddenly realized his words might’ve hurt her self-esteem, and awkwardly tried to explain: "That’s not the aning. Also, it’s not that there’s completely no interest. Just, you’re not the type I like."

"Surely soone likes your type, they must be totally interested in you, I an..."

Mia stared at him, expressionless.

Lucas couldn’t continue, cursed softly, and resignedly rolled back to the sofa.

In the room next door.

Isaac carefully wiped Natalie’s face and hands, then went to the bathroom for a towel, only to find she woke up—not just awake, but sitting up.

"Little Ear." He called to her.

Natalie raised her head, looking over with a dazed and drunk expression.

Isaac squatted in front of her, took her hand, lifted his face to look at her, and asked: "Do you recognize who I am?"

Natalie stared at him for a few seconds, nodding: "I do."

Isaac smiled: "Who am I?"

"Isaac Vaughn," Natalie answered.

Isaac asked again: "Who is Isaac Vaughn?"

Natalie thought for a mont, replied: "Husband."

Isaac paused, as if an invisible hand had tightened around his heart in an instant.

"Good girl, call ’husband’ again, okay?"
