"Hello?" Aaron picked up his communicator to see who it was.
Though he gave only a few people, answering the communicator wouldn’t cost him any loss. Soone might have dialled the number wrongly.
Unlike on Earth, where there are many ways to scam people over the phone, here, there was no such facility. Scamrs exist here too, but it would be while buying items at stalls, where many items are either on the verge of breaking or the sellers are using so illusions to make them appear even more than they usually are.
Only when they used would they find out they were scamd, but the issue was that established sellers with permanent shops would not engage in such scams, as that could hurt their business. They would be doing scamming differently.
The point is, people get scamd by using physical ans, not through digital ans. The world has not developed like that.
So, Aaron was not worried about any scamrs calling him and answered the call.

"Hello, is this Aaron Skyhart?" a male voice from the other side asked.
"Yes, this is Aaron", Aaron replied, understanding that this was not a misdialled number. He then asked, "Who is this?"
"Hi, I am Jas, the receptionist from the city’s alliance base", the man on the other side replied.
When Aaron heard who it was on the other side, he was surprised at first, but then a realisation ca to him. He had imprisoned five n the previous evening.
The rewards for criminal imprisonnt would be handed out after verification. It was why he ca ho empty-handed, but now with the call, Aaron believed that they should have confird their identities and whether any rewards would be handed out.
If there were rewards, he would need attribute boosting resources. He was just thinking about raising his parents’ strength, and this is the perfect way to access such resources.
If he knew where to find them directly, he would go there, but he only learned about them, not their source. Since he has too many FSPs, he didn’t need to buy them. His attributes are very high already, and with the remaining FSPs in his panel, those could reach new heights.
So, he had never had a reason to think about getting his hands on such resources, but seeing the news on TV made him think about ways to improve his parents, as soon as possible.
There was no way to increase his levels, at least not from what he learned so far. So, this would be the best way to improve their strength and get peace of mind in the process.
"Oh, yeah, I rember you. Is this about the five I dropped off?" Aaron asked.
"Yes", Jas replied.
"Can you drop by the base to talk more about the matter?" Jas asked.
"Sure, I’ll be there in twenty to thirty minutes", Aaron replied, as he didn’t feel anything wrong with that.
The rewards for his work need consideration. Not all missions give the sa rewards. So, he has to check what’s best from the available choices for his parents.
After ending the call, Aaron quickly got dressed and left ho for the base.

When Aaron arrived, he was overwheld by what the receptionist dumped on him.
The mont Aaron appeared, the receptionist took him to a private room and started narrating everything to him, at least the parts that he could.
"Those five mbers that you dropped off, they were mid-level cultists. They ran away from you because they had just finished preparations for an attack last night. I don’t know why you felt sothing was wrong with them, but those instincts saved a lot of people".
"We were able to extract as much information as possible from them, but they were in charge of Rock City only. They have contacts, and so they knew a few cities that were going to be lit up".
"You should have already seen in the news about the cities, and so of those were not even in the nas that we got. Even in the supposed cities where attacks would take place, not every detail was known".
"The alliance did everything that they could, but the ti limit was very small, and any big movents could trigger the action earlier than planned, especially after you found that they could send a signal of capture using watches".
"It was new, I would say. From what I know, there were other ways to send such a signal, but it was new to us. We needed ti to crack, which we lacked. So, we had a few losses", the receptionist dumped the information regarding what happened last night.
Hearing those words, Aaron was stunned. He didn’t know what to think about. He just thought that they were just so criminals, or if they were cultists, maybe so low-level ones. Even after seeing the news and getting the call from the receptionist, though a part of him spoke, they were all connected, he ignored that thought.
Who would find fault with him?
No one would have guessed that their instincts saved thousands of lives. It was simply because they felt sothing was wrong with the five random people they ca across at the end of their patrol shift.
"Now, I am understanding the true power of Luck. It was a good thing that he decided to increase it as much as possible", Aaron thought, and a small smile ford on his face.
Jas saw the smile on Aaron’s face, but didn’t comnt about it. Who wouldn’t be happy about being a hero, even if they didn’t an to, and it happened anyway because of a small thing they did?
Cough!
"Now let’s talk about your rewards. Even though it was indirect, you were responsible for saving a lot. So, the higher-ups authorised to select any two from these rewards", Jas spoke in an envious voice as he handed a tablet to Aaron.
When Aaron saw the list available for him to select from, he was flabbergasted. He quickly understood why Jas was envious.
"If the roles were reversed, I would be envious as well", he thought.
