The hunters moved swiftly like the wind.

For this operation, Aiden deployed the teleportation circle that the guild owns. The success rate of this operation would be what decides their future collaborations with the alliance, in deciding resource allocation.

With so much at stake, he decided to use the teleportation rather than any other transportation. The ti it would take to travel from the capital city to the last bastion was reduced from days to an hour due to this.

The teleportation circle doesn’t connect to the last bastion but to a city nearby, where there is a Hunters Guild branch.

The hunters used the teleportation circle, which sent them directly to their branch, which is near the last bastion. There, the branch leader received them, who had already sent ssages to gather troops and vehicles for transport.

Once the troops and the vehicles appeared, everyone boarded the vehicles and used the land to reach Last Bastion.

Travelling by land might be ti-consuming, but this is the best Aiden could do in such a short ti.

They have an airship that can reduce the ti travelled, but that was in the capital city. It was not sothing that could be stored in a ring. If that was possible, Aiden would have done so, but that was not possible, at least not yet.

Travelling by airship from the capital city would take a longer ti than travelling this way. Though the land travel consus a lot of ti, the total ti taken, along with the teleportation ti, is less than it would have taken by air travel.

The last bastion is, after all, very far away from the capital, and it would take hours to travel between the two places. So, an airship was out of the question.

Even if they use the latest prototype, it would take a long ti to reach the destination.

So might ask why the hunters didn’t take the teleportation to the last bastion directly.

If the guild has teleportation hubs, then so should the alliance, and they do, but the first issue was that they are all organisation teleportation hubs and are not connected.

To that, one can say there is a simple solution. Since this was commissioned by the alliance, they would let the hunters use their teleportation, but they were wrong.

If the alliance could use the teleportation, the high-level officers could have just gone directly without asking Aiden or his hunters for help. The reason why they can’t is because their teleportation channels were not advanced as in stories where they can transport hundreds of thousands over thousands of miles without any issue.

Even the hunters from HQ, who teleported to the city near the last bastion, had to do multiple jumps.

Also, when there is a mana distortion, which would happen during calamities or large-scale battles, teleportations beco unreliable. They would teleport the travellers to an entirely different place or make them disappear forever.

So, when a battle starts, the teleportation hubs are closed, as they are not very useful during such tis. There was a lot of research going on about this issue, but this was not the only issue present in the world, which makes it difficult to get every resource that they need to improve the teleportation.

Another added delay was that not every city has teleportation hubs.

Teleportation is not a new thing, as mages had skills that can do teleportation, but unless they are very high ranking, there is a limit on the distance and the people carried.

The more distance or the more people needed teleportation, the greater the burden would be on the mage.

Many tried to use multiple mages, but that led to a lot of errors as multiple people were involved and they would not be in sync.

This was when formations ca into play and created Telportation Circles.

Permanent paths were created, but they would be closed unless they were in use, as open space paths were disturbing the space around them. Space energies were emitted from these passages, disturbing everything.

This was why they were opened when one uses them, and these teleportation circles and the energy used to activate them are the way to do that. When they were needed, one needed to just use the energy required for the travel, and that would be it.

A problem was raised because of that. The passages can’t cover over long distances as they beco unstable after the distance crossed a certain limit, and if there were any external disturbances, then the passages would be unstable. When the passages beco unstable, they might connect to different points in space, and the travellers would appear there, or sotis they would be obliterated.

It was why, even though there were teleportation hubs, the ti taken to travel between places would take a long ti, and many still use trains, even if there are teleportation hubs connecting those places, unless there was an ergency, just like it was now.

---

After more than half an hour of travel, Aiden, with the twenty from the HQ, and a hundred from the local branch, arrived at the Last Bastion. From a distance, they could see what was happening at the fort.

"By the gods", one of the younger hunters muttered in fear when he saw the scene before them.

They arrived at the last bastion within an hour, but between the ti the ssage was sent and now, it has been more than an hour. In the ti that it took for them to arrive, a lot of damage had occurred to the place.

Even the older hunters were surprised by the damage that occurred in an hour, which sowhat eroded their previous opinions about the monster hordes. However, unlike the young ones, they managed to control their emotions and words.

Even Aidenn was surprised to see the scene.

"Hunters, if you want to form teams, form them. The fight is upon us, get ready to fight", Aiden ordered as he prepared to attack and end this battle as quickly as possible. If they allow this, then the outco is not what he wanted.

Following Aiden’s orders, everyone started to form groups, but that was for the low-ranking ones. The high rankers remained solo.
