Ti seed to stop for a mont before a shrill scream broke the frozen ti.

"SCREEEEE!!!"

The elevator monster’s tallic door made a tal-scrapping noise as it "looked" at the severed red tongue carpet in horror.

Not to ntion the elevator monster, even the existing survivors and the audience sucked in the cold air.

What kind of weapon could easily tear the tongue of a level four monster?

Even Leinster was taken aback, not expecting his new weapon to be so fierce.

The red tongue dangled listlessly around the chain and the alien imdiately humd a little tune while dragging the chain towards him, as if he was pulling a fishing rod.

"Oh, oh, the catch is quite good!"

Leinster touched the gigantic red tongue capable of rolling two adult n in it and he couldn’t help but smile like a child.

His innocent smile sent a shiver down everyone’s spine and at that mont, the injured elevator monster finally reacted.

"KIEEEEKK!!"

—My tongue!!

The elevator monster’s door slamd a few tis and the next sound, a crackling noise ca out of the tal box.

A flash of white light and red-orange sparks enveloped the whole monster, forcing everyone to close their eyes in tears.

"Ugh! W-what was that??"

"T-the monster is entering its boss phase!"

The boss phase of a level four monster?

The survivors felt their hearts sinking to their stomachs.

Ah. They’re going to die.

Leinster, having never seen electricity before, only felt that the white sparks were familiar, sothing that his new body had seen before.

Ah, wait, he had seen this kind of thing from the monitor monster too...

Oooops. It’s a bad, bad thing—

Unfortunately, before Leinster could react, the enraged elevator monster suddenly glowed in white light and electricity flashed like a snake, straight towards Leinster’s— face.

BZZT!

Leinster only felt a flash in his eyes and the crackling electricity was already right in front of him, so close that it was reflected in his crimson pupils.

A tiny spark caught a strand of his hair and his silver hair instantly burned black, coiled into an indescribable mass with white smoke rising from it!

In that split second before the electricity touched Leinster’s face, Leinster swung the red tongue coiled around his chain and instantly enveloped his body with the huge red tongue carpet.

BANG!

The electricity stabbed the red tongue carpet and sparks of light spread all over the carpet, even threatening to spill beyond the carpet to the poor alien behind it.

Surprisingly, the red tongue carpet was an insulator, firmly keeping the electric attack in it without harming the alien behind.

At the sa level, the electricity couldn’t pierce through the tongue and it died down unwillingly!

But sothing even more shocking happened.

The mont the electric attack died down, a gust of wind blew and a sharp tallic glare flashed for a split second.

Swish!

An arc-shaped light cut through the air and landed precisely on the elevator monster’s body.

Slice!

The sowhat smart elevator was just grieving about its own tongue being used to defend against its own attack when it felt sothing scraping against its tallic skin...

And then the world darkened.

In the eyes of Leinster and the others, a purple light arc suddenly cut the elevator box horizontally.

BANG!

The elevator box’s body was split into two with an exact sa size, slowly falling to the ground with a loud noise, even cracking the tiles open and denting the floor.

A cloud of dust rose to the air, covering everyone’s vision with only faint electric sparks still visible to the naked eyes.

Silence.

Dead silence.

The eerie silence lingered in the corridor with occasional faint sounds of crackling for almost a full minute before the comnt section exploded.

[What was that?? What’s going on?!]

[Leinster Slayer:

It was the guy with a scythe. He suddenly swung his scythe and cut the elevator like cutting butter.]

[Sealed Demon King:

How did he do that?? It was so fast!]

The audience in Leinster’s comnt section burst into an uproar while the audience in the "one-eyed man" livestream room cheered.

[GrimReaperTakeMy

Life:

He did it! He did it again! Ahhhh! Cut with your scythe!!]

[To think soone in the preliminary round could kill a level four monster with one strike...]

[Guys, is he really a newcor?? Not a league 1’s pro challenger??]

[Hey, he has always been like this from the first ti he entered the ruin!]

[Damn. This guy is a monster rookie!]

[Ahhhhh! Our country finally has a new rising star!]

The number of audience in the scythe guy’s livestream room had soared to a whole 5000 views, a staggering number for a re welfare livestream that wasn’t even showing the ruin clearance progress.

At the sa ti, Leinster noticed that his number of viewers rapidly declined from 1000 to 500, cut by half!

His fans ran to the guy next door.

Leinster’s face turned green, red, blue, purple, all kinds of color, like his original body.

He looked at the scythe man hiding in the crowd with venomous eyes enough to kill people thousands of tis.

How dare this guy steal his prey??!!

He was about to use his own weapon to kill the monster too!

Ahhh!

A certain alien was so frustrated that he wanted to pull his non-existent antennas but then, the elevator’s carcass suddenly glowed in a strange light and turned into a card, flying towards him.

Leinster accepted the card into his body and the system imdiately chirped.

DING! [Unsealing process: 3%]

Oho? It went up by 2 whole percent!

In an instant, Leinster felt like forgiving this foolish bipedal who dared to snatch a prey from the jaw of an Emo Alien.

Just when Leinster relaxed his body and a smile finally blood on his face...

A sweet voice that was neither male nor female, old nor young, rang in everyone’s ears all over the world.

DING! [Dear audiences, the preliminary round is now over~ ]
