Chapter 944: Extra: Shi Mu vs Si Chen 7 Chapter 944: Extra: Shi Mu vs Si Chen 7 The congee was ready after half an hour, and its appearance as well as its taste were just diocre; of course, this was Si Chen’s own assessnt. Considering it was his first ti cooking, even though it was a bit burnt, achieving this result was truly not easy and quite outstanding.
Si Chen took off the apron, then brought a bowl of congee to the bedroom and placed it on the nightstand, saying to Shi Mu, “I made so congee, have so!”
Shi Mu, who had already started to “break the fever,” looked at Si Chen in surprise, “You made it?”
His eyes were a bit red; in fact, pretending to be sick had been just a hope for a bit of attention from him, so they would stop clashing all the ti.
Just now, hearing the doctor say that he needed to eat sothing light but nutritious, he had thought Si Chen would surely go out to buy sothing.
But he hadn’t expected that Si Chen would be so considerate as to personally cook sothing for him.
“Yeah, quickly eat it before it gets cold!” Si Chen said coolly, then reached out to touch Shi Mu’s forehead.
It didn’t seem that hot anymore.
This doctor was really sothing; saying the fever would break and it did, just amazing.
But then again, how did Shi Mu fall ill just like that? When he ca back last night, wasn’t Shi Mu perfectly fine?
In an instant, Shi Mu had already sat up and taken the bowl of congee Si Chen had made into his hands.
Seeing the watery soup with rice grains and black flecks floating in the bowl, was his expression a bit petrified? The bowl he was holding, emitting a burnt sll and looking like sothing watery, was the congee that Si Chen had made for him.
If it weren’t for knowing Si Chen’s proud and sowhat impulsive nature, he might really think that Si Chen was playing a joke on him at the mont.
Seeing Shi Mu not moving and just staring at the congee in the bowl, Si Chen urged, “What are you looking at, why aren’t you drinking?”
Could it be that he was moved because he had personally cooked, so he couldn’t bear to drink it?
If Shi Mu knew that this was what Si Chen was thinking right now, he would probably burst out laughing!!
He picked up the spoon and gently took a sip, not knowing if this supposedly nutritious congee would end up giving him diarrhea and turn into sothing that would drain the nutrients from his body.
Seeing Shi Mu start to drink, Si Chen turned and took a step, ready to leave.
“Achun!” Shi Mu called out to him, and when Si Chen turned back, he saw Shi Mu tilt his head and in one breath, finish the entire bowl of congee.
A smile suddenly appeared on Si Chen’s otherwise indifferent face, “You… you’ve finished it!”
With a suave lift of his arm, Shi Mu placed the bowl on the nightstand, “Yep, finished, and it was pretty tasty.”
“Then do you want to get you another bowl?” Si Chen asked.
Shi Mu quickly declined, “No need, one bowl is enough; my body is still a bit off, and that’s all the appetite I have right now.”
Although he felt it wasn’t too bad despite gobbling it down, having another bowl was out of the question for him, as his stomach wasn’t particularly strong.
“Is that so?” Si Chen asked again.
“Yes, very tasty, thank you Achun!” The emotion in Shi Mu’s voice was palpable.
A flicker of disbelief passed across Si Chen’s face, accompanied by a touch of faint emotion.
He was fully aware of what his own congee tasted like; tasty? It was a wonder Shi Mu could say that. Perhaps in this world, he would be the only one to describe his debut congee in such a way.
“Then you rest well,” Si Chen’s tone suddenly softened.
He went back to how he used to interact with Shi Mu, no longer as prickly as a hedgehog.
