Chapter 942: Extra: Shi Mu vs Si Chen 6 Chapter 942: Extra: Shi Mu vs Si Chen 6 Although Shi Mu had agreed to stay, Si Chen turned around and hated himself for actually succumbing to Shi Mu’s lewd power, having signed a shaful and humiliating contract of servitude.
It wasn’t actually that serious, but as a stubborn and prideful person, this was just the state he was in, always preferring to use a tough tone, obstinate actions, or indifferent contempt to not disguise his true feelings.
Therefore, he deliberately didn’t co ho by nine o’clock. Normally, it wasn’t a big deal, but he intentionally lingered outside until ten before heading back, and he didn’t make a phone call either.
Moreover, he turned off his phone, not allowing Shi Mu to get in touch with him.
It was eleven at night when he returned ho reeking of alcohol.
Seeing Shi Mu sitting on the living room sofa with a cold face, his devilishly handso face blood with a smile more exuberant than flowers.
What he did today was ant to achieve this very reaction.
Shi Mu looked at him coldly and asked, “Didn’t you say yesterday that you must be ho by eight o’clock every day?”
Si Chen sat down opposite Shi Mu, took a drink of water, then grabbed a bag of chips from the coffee table and started munching away. “I had so matters to attend to today, and my phone ran out of battery,” he said nonchalantly as he ate.
This excuse was blurted out without much thought; he didn’t believe it himself, and naturally, he knew Shi Mu wouldn’t either.
No matter how you heard it, it sounded false.
But he insisted on showing Shi Mu a seemingly sincere smile, then picked up the remote control and turned on the television, “Watching the ga, watching the ga, all night long! Want to join?”
When he asked Shi Mu this question, the smile on his face was particularly annoying.
Shi Mu really wanted to rush over, push him down, and punch him hard, then make him beg for rcy.
“I have an urgent eting tomorrow morning, so I won’t keep you company,” Shi Mu said as he stood up and turned to go back to his own bedroom.
So calm, he hadn’t even gotten angry. Si Chen had not achieved his goal of infuriating the other person and with a bored “tch” sound, he turned off the TV, took his chips, and also went back to his own bedroom.
The next day, Si Chen woke up at noon.
It was hunger that woke him. He then got up and went to the kitchen to look for food.
Passing the living room, he heard a noise coming from Shi Mu’s bedroom.
Si Chen frowned in confusion. Why would there be noise from Shi Mu’s room? He should have gone to work in the morning. So who could be inside?
They had both agreed not to enter each other’s bedrooms, but Si Chen, concerned it might be a burglar or thief, decided to push open the door and take a look at the doorway to see what was going on.
As he approached, he noticed that the door to Shi Mu’s room was ajar.
Through the crack in the door, Si Chen saw Shi Mu lying on the bed looking particularly pale and weak.
“Hey, what’s wrong with you?” Si Chen couldn’t bother with formalities and went straight in to ask.
When he got to the bedside, he saw Shi Mu take a thermoter out from his embrace. Si Chen reached out and took it, and was imdiately shocked, “40 degrees?! Are you running a high fever?”
Shi Mu lay back on the bed weakly and replied softly, “I do have a bit of a headache, but I don’t think it’s serious, I’ll be fine after sleeping a bit more.”
Si Chen looked at him strangely and couldn’t help but reach out and touch Shi Mu’s forehead.
He wouldn’t have been shocked if he hadn’t touched it, but upon touching, he was startled again, “It’s so hot, sleeping alone is useless, you need to get up and go to the hospital!”
