While stirring her coffee, Zhan Jie smiled at Si Jianan, “Mr. Si, I want to make a deal with you.”
Si Jianan looked at her, seemingly uninterested, “What deal could we possibly have?”
“Song Qinghuan!” Zhan Jie slowly pronounced these three words.
Si Jianan narrowed his eyes slightly, looking at her coldly, but remained silent.
Zhan Jie continued, “I know you like Song Qinghuan. Even though she’s married now, even though she has a child, you still love her and want to be with her, am I right?”
Si Jianan’s expression changed subtly, “So, you’ve been investigating ?”
Zhan Jie shook her head, “No, I have not been investigating you. I’ve only been investigating Song Qinghuan. I just happened upon finding out everything about you and her, about how much you love her and want her.”
“Let’s cut to the chase. No beating around the bush needed!” Si Jianan’s voice was cold.
Zhan Jie smiled gently, “My goal is to help you, to help you be with Song Qinghuan. To help you be together for the rest of your lives.”
Si Jianan found the woman in front of him repulsive and did not want to talk any longer, “So, you want to be with her because you’re in love with her man and want him for yourself.”
Zhan Jie imdiately denied it, her voice slightly raised, “No! I don’t want him. I just don’t want them to be together!”
Si Jianan smirked sarcastically, “Isn’t that self-deception? It’s glaringly obvious that you’re doing all this in the hopes of ending up with that man.
