After hearing Song Qinghuan’s voice acting for the lead character, Shi Annuo made a resolute decision to swap roles for the voice acting. Song Qinghuan would voice the main character and Bai Rubing the secondary character.
Bai Rubing put on a smiling face, seemingly not minding, but she felt awful inside.
She thought Song Qinghuan, who looked so naive, seed to have so craftiness to captivate Shi Annuo to that degree.
Didn’t she get married? Why does she have a complicated relationship with the general manager, she’s such a wanton woman.
Though Bai Rubing scorned Song Qinghuan in her heart and looked down on her, she knew well the rules of the workplace and would never offend soone who could cause trouble.
After the recording session and back in the HR departnt, Zhao Jingnan, aware of the role swap, was worried that Bai Rubing might be upset. So, he called her into his office to inquire about the matter.
Bai Rubing didn’t want to elaborate further, thinking that making a fuss over this matter would only do harm.
She rely shook her head lightly, smiling, “I was a bit nervous, so they swapped
out. It’s nothing.”
Seeing her so nonchalant, Zhao Jingnan breathed a sigh of relief, “Alright then, go on with your work.”
As Bai Rubing left, she overheard Yu Yang asking Song Qinghuan, “Qinghuan what is… the relationship between you and the general manager?”
Song Qinghuan shook her head, “Uh, really, nothing at all. I didn’t know him before joining the company.”
Yu Yang looked at her suspiciously, her expression didn’t seem like she was lying, “Then why did he replace Rubing with you for the lead role?”
“Uh…” Song Qinghuan only realized afterwards that the situation might not be as simple as she had thought. Would she have offended Bai Rubing because of this?
Looking up, she just saw Bai Rubing coming out of the general manager’s office. Instinctively, she called out to her, “Rubing.”
“Hmm!” Bai Rubing responded with a light smile.
Perhaps Song Qinghuan taking the spotlight from her wasn’t entirely bad. Song Qinghuan felt guilty and might be able to help her in the future.
Song Qinghuan apologized with a hint of regret, “I’m sorry, I didn’t know…”
Bai Rubing laughed it off, “It’s okay. It’s just a voiceover role, we don’t rely on this for a living. Don’t overthink it.”
Seeing that she didn’t seem to mind, Song Qinghuan sighed in relief, “You scared , I thought you were angry.”
Bai Rubing gave a surprised laugh, “Please, why would I get angry over such a thing? Of course I’m not. It’s almost ti to get off work. How about we go for hotpot? I know a great place!”
Then, she looked at Yu Yang, “Do you want to co along?”
Yu Yang, a foodie, couldn’t have been more excited about anything else and nodded repeatedly, “Sure, sure!”
After this incident, Song Qinghuan got along extrely well with Bai Rubing, besides being close with Yu Yang, while working at the company.
