Chapter 388: 388, Love, hatred, parting sorrow, right and wrong

Song Qinghuan was stunned on the spot, unable to react for a while.

She was in a daze, her eyes incredulously fixed on Shi Yuhuan, shocked to the point of speechlessness.

“Song Qinghuan, my ti is limited,” Shi Yuhuan’s aloof and icy voice rang again, so impatient, so disdainful.

Song Qinghuan’s eyes quivered, her small face turned even paler, feeling as if her heart was suffocating.

She thought she and Shi Yuhuan were just having a minor quarrel, but things did not seem to be developing as such, his intense indifference left her confused, utterly clueless about what had happened.

Was it because of Zhan Cheng? At first, she thought it was, but now she didn’t think it was because of Zhan Cheng.

But why had Shi Yuhuan changed so much?

Her eyes, clear as water, were filled with a mixture of deep and shallow hurt. She looked at Shi Yuhuan and silently asked, “What’s wrong with you? Don’t you even have ti to say a single word to ?”

Shi Yuhuan looked at her expressionlessly, “Now, am I not listening to you?”

Song Qinghuan’s gaze trembled, she closed her eyes and bit her lip, then whispered, “My brother ca to see

today, he said you called the police and had my mother arrested, and that you’re going to accuse her, make her spend the rest of her life in prison. Although she was wrong, it’s not reason enough for her to spend her entire life in prison. Moreover, I have a younger brother, he’s only a few years old, if my mother goes to jail… there would be no one to care for him.”

“Whether your little brother has soone to look after him, what does that have to do with ?” Shi Yuhuan’s frosty voice echoed, carrying a hint of sarcasm.

A surge of terror ca rushing at her, like a sea disaster, imdiately overwhelming her, making her doubtful of her own senses.

She bit her lip for a mont before she managed to find her voice again, “Even though my mother was wrong, she’s still my mother, I don’t want her to spend the rest of her life in prison, can you let her off?”

The corner of his mouth curled into a cold, charming smirk, Shi Yuhuan spoke in a low voice, “Song Qinghuan, who do you think you are? Do you think I would have them spend their remaining life in prison for your sake? Song Qinghuan, you vastly overestimate yourself!”

The world suddenly fell silent, the night loneliness terribly poignant.

Song Qinghuan’s body quivered, she lifted her gaze in shock towards Shi Yuhuan, only to see his eyes cold and distant.

Involuntarily, she called out in a hoarse voice, “Shi Yuhuan.”

Shi Yuhuan’s deep gaze locked onto hers, also slightly trembling.

He looked away, sighing subtly, hiding all his feelings, then he lifted his hand to rub his brow, appearing to be deeply troubled.

A mont later, he looked up at Song Qinghuan, his magnetic voice ringed with mocking undertones, “What’s the matter? Have a problem? Did I say sothing wrong?”

Song Qinghuan was at a loss, “Y-you once said, as long as I was willing, I could be your wife forever.”

Shi Yuhuan smirked, shrugged, “Yeah, I did say that, and I won’t change it now. As long as you’re willing, you could be my wife forever. Divorce and marriage are very troubleso matters, I hate trouble.”

Her heart, felt as if it was being tugged, starting to ache as if being slowly torn apart. She opened her eyes wide to look at Shi Yuhuan, her watery eyes filled with suffocating bewildernt, her lips parted as if to say sothing, yet she found herself unable to utter a single word.

Shi Yuhuan looked at her, gave a wickedly cold smile, his captivating gaze fixed on her, “Song Qinghuan, don’t tell

you thought, my asking you to be my wife ant I liked you, that I loved you, I rember, I made it very clear to you at the ti.”
