Chapter 351: 351, Don’t raise, don’t want children

After finishing his work, Song Qinghuan hadn’t brought the noodles over yet.

Just as he was beginning to worry whether she and Jin Lin were quarrelling again, the doorbell finally rang. He got up to open the door and saw Song Qinghuan carrying a tray with three bowls of noodles. Each bowl was topped with a golden brown fried egg; it was a feast for all the senses.

She had fried eggs, no wonder it took so long?

Sitting down at the dining table, Shi Yuhuan took the bowl and glanced at the other two bowls of noodles, “Three bowls? Are you eating two?”

Song Qinghuan chuckled playfully, “Shi Yuhuan, one bowl is for your son.”

Shi Yuhuan arched an eyebrow, “My son?”

Song Qinghuan walked over to Zishi with a bowl of noodles, stroked his head, and replied to Shi Yuhuan, “I an Zishi!”

Shi Yuhuan paused for a mont before slowly saying, “He is not my son. I don’t have a son.”

Song Qinghuan seed confused, and subconsciously asked again, “What did you say?”

Shi Yuhuan continued eating his noodles. His posture was both elegant and dignified, and his face showed no emotion. He nonchalantly said, “Zishi is not my son.”

Song Qinghuan bit her lip and chuckled lightly, “I’m talking about the next sentence.”

Shi Yuhuan chewed slowly for a mont, as if contemplating sothing.

He suddenly put down his chopsticks, sat up straight, and looked at Song Qinghuan quietly. After another pause, he said, “I don’t want children.”

This ti he changed a word, replacing “son” with “child.”

The smile on Song Qinghuan’s face instantly froze as she stared at him as if he were an alien. She asked, “Why would you suddenly think that way?”

His thin, cold lips were pressed together in silence, Shi Yuhuan seed to be deep in thought.

After a while, he finally said, “It’s not that I just started thinking this way, I’ve always felt this way. I just don’t want children. There’s no reason why!”

His indifferent tone and expression deeply stung Song Qinghuan, her previously light heart plumted into an abyss.

her face instantly turned ugly, her brows furrowed in confusion as she looked at Shi Yuhuan, “China is a traditional country. In China, it’s expected that n and won will have children once they are married. Why don’t you want to?”

Shi Yuhuan said seriously, “Song Qinghuan, nothing in this world is taken for granted. Whether or not I’ll want children in the future, I don’t know. But for now, I don’t want children. And besides, isn’t life good as it is?”

Song Qinghuan bit her lip, silently looking at him. And then she lowered her face, her chin almost pressed against her chest.

Shi Yuhuan couldn’t figure out her mood, he sat quietly with his slender fingers resting between his slightly furrowed brows.

After a while, he spoke again, “You’re still young, and not ready for a child. Aren’t you still investigating your brother’s case? If you really had a child now, you wouldn’t be able to manage it all. So, let’s talk about the matter of having children later.”

“Oh.” Song Qinghuan responded in a small voice, which was choked with emotion.

She understood Shi Yuhuan’s aning perfectly well. He didn’t want children now. But she didn’t understand whether Shi Yuhuan didn’t want a child with her or he didn’t want a child at all?

In that mont, Song Qinghuan felt a sense of coldness and loneliness. She was right across the table from a man who was talking to her, and the noodles had tasted great when she tasted them as they cooked. But why did they taste so bad now?

The two of them sat quietly when suddenly Shi Yuhuan’s thin lips parted slightly. A deep and magnetic voice slipped out, “Ti.”
