Chapter 233: 233, here we go again, feeding the addiction

Bai Rubing murmured weakly, “But Manager, didn’t you say…”

Zhao Jingnan cut her off, “Give

the report this afternoon.” He then snapped at Song Qinghuan, “What are you standing around for? Aren’t you supposed to be working?”

With an unsettled heart, Song Qinghuan took the docunts to the top floor.

The top floor was serene. All of Shi Yuhuan’s assistants seed to have gone ho, and the security officer directed her straight to the CEO’s office.

She gently bit her lower lip, hesitated for a mont outside the office, and then mustered up the courage to knock on the door.

“Co in!” Inside, Shi Yuhuan’s deep, icy voice called out promptly.

Clutching the file, Song Qinghuan entered with a light smile, “Hello, Mr. Shi, this is the award list for the annual eting. Manager Zhao requested I bring it up for your signature.”

Shi Yuhuan, previously engrossed in the docunts on his desk, looked at her with a dull gaze when he heard her address him as “Mr. Shi”. He grunted an acknowledgnt and returned to his reading.

Qinghuan put the docunt on his desk quietly, next to the pile he was reading from, and then stood silently with her head bowed, waiting for his next move.

However, after a mont, Shi Yuhuan seed to have no intention of turning to her docunts.

Qinghuan rolled her eyes, feeling a bit of resentnt.

He couldn’t possibly plan to finish reading the whole stack of contracts he had laid out before getting to her pile, could he?

Please! There were still more than a dozen pages left and he was going through them so slowly. How long was this going to take?

And it was already ti to knock off work. If she waited any longer, the cafeteria would stop serving food.

So, should she hurry him up?

As if sensing her thoughts, Shi Yuhuan suddenly picked up her files from the side and started perusing them.

At this mont, the office was filled with the tranquil sound of him flipping through the papers.

Truth be told, she found Shi Yuhuan quite attractive and charismatic when he was deeply engrossed in work.

If she weren’t so accustod to keeping her cool around handso n, she might have found her heart all stirred up by his charm.

After going through the files, Shi Yuhuan didn’t hurry to sign anything. Instead, he slowly lifted his gaze, his eyes coldly glinting as he asked her, “Have you had lunch yet?”

Surprised by his question, Song Qinghuan shook her head honestly, “Uh, no, I was waiting for you to finish signing so I could go eat.”

“Good. Let’s eat together,” he commanded as usual, not rushing to sign, but moving towards the other end of his expansive office.

Song Qinghuan watched him wistfully, wanting to ask him to sign the docunt first, but eventually followed him out of habit.

On the coffee table in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, there were two lunch boxes from a well-known restaurant, containing three signature dishes and a renowned soup.

After taking out the lunch, Shi Yuhuan rubbed his hands with a fatigued look. Slightly squinting his profound eyes, he let out an insidious glow, “My hands hurt, you do the rest.”

He paused, and added, “Just like yesterday.”

Startled, Song Qinghuan thought she had misheard, “Yesterday? Hey?” Seeing a cool rise of Shi Yuhuan’s eyebrows, she almost choked, “Do you want

to… feed…”

Is this a joke? His hands were already healed.

Shi Yuhuan glanced at her, a hint of a smile in his eyes. Then his expression turned cold again, donning an aloof deanor, “Any objections?”
