One day, during a mission, his mother died; she was said to have died in a village far from Tokyo. During a protection mission, a report about a boy possessed by a demon went on a rampage, killing everyone on sight, and to protect the client, she put herself in the way and was cut in half. The demon was never killed.
When Tomura's father heard what happened, he fainted and was taken to the hospital. The doctor said he had a heart attack and ntal issues, and as a result, he blad Tomura for his mother's death.
Sotis, Tomura had fights with his father and ended up leaving ho to stay at the Shinjuku station, while sotis he ca to until the next morning. Hinata always took him ho and apologized to his father, and sotis the father accepted my apologies while he angrily chased them out. The doctor said it was the effect of his issue; he sotis forgets about them, so she had to introduce herself and his son to him.
It was like that, almost every day until one night, Tomura argued with his father. It was about going to the ASE academy in China, but his father disagreed and tore his admission letter. Tomura angrily yelled at his father, saying he wished his father was the one who got killed instead of his mother and left.
Hinata heard everything from her room since her window was opposite to his. She knew he must have gone to the station since he hadn't co to her house, so she decided to go et him.
When Hinata got there, he was with soone. She couldn't tell who because was far from them, but she could sense that it was a demon. She decided not to go closer.
The demon was sitting on the sa bench as him; he was talking to the demon about his father. It stood up and gave Tomura a bottle, and Tomura drank it all at once. It then walked slowly into the shadow. Hinata approached Tomura monts later and asked about the demon, but he told it was none of my business.
"It's none of your business, Hinata; why are you always worried about ?" Tomura asked.
"You are my friend, and I can't leave you now that you need most," Hinata replied calmly, trying to calm him down. She looked at the bottle on the floor; it wasn't the type of drink you'd see anywhere. The glass was transparent, and there was red liquid inside. "Tomura, what's inside this bottle you took a drink from?"
She asked, pointing at the empty bottle.
"It's nothing"
"Don't tell it's nothing; I know that the person you were talking to just now is a demon."
"Oh, is it, I didn't realize. You can sense it from that far."
"Don't tell ... you too.... you took a pact with the demon. You know what happens after it; they co for your soul after you fulfill your wish. What did you wish for?" Hinata asked; she was getting scared.
"I wish to be all the things I can't be and to do all the things I can't do."
"What do you an by that? What do you think your mom will say if she sees you?"
"My mom is dead!!" He said it as if he were happy that she died. "I'm glad that she died; if not, I'll never be able to do this; she couldn't see the truth, and she died because of her foolishness."
"I can't believe you will say such a thing"
His skin began to crack, revealing a red scale and marking a certain type of pattern on his body. "You better get out of here; I don't want you to be the first person I'll kill."
"But where're you going?" Hinata asked.
"To find the demon who killed my mother, and when I find him, I'm going to make him pay."
After saying that he jumped before she could say anything. Hinata suspected that he must have gone to his house first, so she ran there.

When she got there, his father was already dead, and the house was scattered with a broken window.
Hinata decided to go ho and act like nothing happened, but after a few weeks, there were missing people, traces of blood, and so parts of the human body.

"I'm sorry, I kept this away from you. Please" Hinata cried. "I knew if I told you, you would have reported it to the academy. And I just don't want Tomura to die."
"You should still have said sothing earlier," Kakashi said. "He might be your friend but he's now a demon, and he has killed a lot of people"
"Kakashi!, You don't need to say stuff like that" Ayaka reminded.
"It's alright, he's right. A lot of people died because I wanted to save him, it's my fault" Hinata confessed. "But please, please, save Tomura. He is the only friend I have, please,"
"I'll try, but, he is not your only friend, Kakashi squatted in front of Hinata and gently patted her head. "I'm also your friend, aren't I?"
"Yes. Yes, you are. Thanks," she smiled.
"Sorry about my partner," Ayaka said addressing Amai. "We will be taking our leave."
"It's fine, what he said was right" Amai replied.
"Okay, I'll walk you to the door" Hinata offered.
Hinata escorted Kakashi and Ayaka to the door, as soon as they opened the door, they saw Yaze waiting for them beside the road. Ayaka ran to him, Kakashi wanted to follow her but Hinata held his arm.
"Hmm, Kakashi, I need to ask you a favor."
"What is it?"
"Please, next ti you co to visit, will you stay longer?"
"Of course, I'll even take you sowhere special, just for both of us," Kakashi smiled at her.
"I'll be looking forward to it" Hinata smiled.
"Kakashi, we don't have forever," Ayaka called out.
"I'm coming!" Kakashi patted Hinata's head again and walked away, he turned back and saw Hinata waving at him.
