Right after his correspondence with Ye Yun, Chen Yin received a furious ssage from Yan Beihan.
"Chen Yin, you dirty dog! I can't believe you set a trap to kill Night Demon! Where are you right now? Tell your location! This is your last night in this world, I swear it!"
She was absolutely livid!
Chen Yin had taken advantage of her trust to take out a future pawn of hers that she had the highest hopes in!
Night Demon had expressed doubts and apprehension about eting with Chen Yin's subordinate, and he had only gone because she had assured him that it was safe.
Essentially, she had pushed him headfirst into Chen Yin's trap! She was just as much to bla for Night Demon's death as Chen Yin!
This thought was enough to drive her mad, and she grabbed her sword and rushed out of her room.
Chen Yin was just about to reply to Yan Beihan's ssage when he heard a resounding boom, and he turned to discover that the gates of his manor had been blown to pieces.
Imdiately thereafter, a white figure swooped in, enveloped in a ball of swordlight.
"Chen Yin! I'm going to kill you!"
A look of horror and exasperation instantly appeared on Chen Yin's face, and all of a sudden, he wasn't feeling appreciative of Night Demon any longer.
That bastard! He told Yan Beihan as well!
Chen Yin's parents instantly appeared on the scene, alerted by the loud commotion.
"Beihan? What's going on?"
"Ask your good son!" Yan Beihan answered, her voice filled with burning resentnt.
"It's all a misunderstanding!" Chen Yin yelled as he rushed onto the scene.
Yan Beihan refused to listen to his explanation, charging directly at him with her sword held aloft.
Chen Yin let loose a panicked yell as he turned to flee while continuing to try and explain himself.
"There really has been a misunderstanding! Let explain!"
The two of them vanished into the distance in the blink of an eye.
"Should we go after them?" Chen Yin's mother asked in a concerned voice.
"It's fine. Chen Yin's cultivation base is far superior to Beihan's, so he's not in any danger. Let the young people have their fun. Maybe this will be the start of a budding young romance!"
The two of them then turned to the completely demolished front gate with exasperated expressions.
In their eyes, Yan Beihan was a fantastic daughter-in-law candidate, perfect in every way aside from her fiery temper.

In the White Cloud Prefecture.
Fang Che was just about to rush at Li ngyun when the old beggar suddenly raised his head and asked, "Which clan are the four of you from?"
Fang Che was very relieved to hear this question.
Even though he had orchestrated this plan, the risk that he was taking was very real, and if Ye Yun remained a passive bystander, then he would truly be screwed.
However, he was 80% confident that Chen Yin wouldn't let him die, and he had gambled correctly.
"Who do you think you are to be questioning ?" Li ngyun sneered. "Get out of my way, you old fart!"
The old beggar gave a cold harrumph, and it was as if the entire surrounding space had suddenly been frozen solid.
In the blink of an eye, Li ngyun found herself completely immobilized and unable to draw upon any of her spirit power at all!
Her three guards had also been stopped cold in their tracks, and panicked looks appeared on their faces as they exclaid, "Who are you?!"
Ye Yun slowly strode forward, his hunched back slowly straightening as a look of vicious bloodlust surfaced in his eyes.
"Little brats like you need to learn so respect!"
"Please spare us, Senior!"
Li ngyun knew that she was in deep trouble. This display of power from the old man was sothing that even the pope of the One Heart Church definitely wasn't capable of replicating, so he had to have been so powerful figure from the main church!
In this instant, Li ngyun's heart was filled with an overwhelming sense of regret and confusion.
What's a warrior of this caliber doing here? How are the Guardians not already onto him?
Li ngyun had proceeded very cautiously this entire ti, and she couldn't understand why such an almighty warrior had appeared in a tiny place like the White Cloud Prefecture, so far away from the main church!
"My sincerest apologies for offending you, Senior! Never did I imagine that soone of your mighty status would appear here! Please forgive !"
Li ngyun was on the verge of tears.
"My na is Ye Yun. I wonder if you've heard of ," Ye Yun said.
Li ngyun instantly felt as if she had fallen into a glacial pit.
Ye Feng and Ye Yun were the two guardian deities of the Chen Clan. With that in mind, it was imdiately apparent to her that Ye Yun had been sent by Chen Yin to win over Night Demon.
"We are from the Li Clan of the main church," Li ngyun exclaid in a panic. "Please spare us! We will be eternally grateful to the Chen Clan, as will our patriarch, Li Chengfeng!"
"It's too late," Ye Yun sighed. "If you had begged just a little earlier, I would've spared you, but at this point, Young Master Chen has already given his orders."
Li ngyun's face instantly turned an ashen complexion, and she spat resentfully, "Night Demon, you spineless coward!"
It had beco clear to her that this had been a trap all along.
"What'll it be then, Senior Ye?" Fang Che asked.
Ye Yun was very unhappy to have been used like this, particularly by a re Lord, and he replied in a cold voice, "Young Master Chen has instructed to leave the four of them to you."
"Alright," Fang Che replied with a nod, then wasted no ti as he swung his sword through the air, chopping off all four pairs of legs of Li ngyun and her entourage.
Li ngyun let loose a blood-curdling shriek as blood erupted out of her body, and she could only watch in heart-wrenching agony and desperation as the beautiful legs that she took so much pride in were separated from her body.
"Please soundproof the area for , Senior Ye," Fang Che requested.
Ye Yun had to fight down the urge to slap Fang Che to death.
You're bossing around now?! If it isn't for Young Master Chen's instructions, I'd kill you myself!
In spite of his displeasure, Ye Yun couldn't help but also feel impressed with Night Demon for the latter's composure.
With a resigned sigh, Ye Yun raised a hand to conjure up a soundproofing enchantnt, then turned away to face another direction, not wishing to see Night Demon using the power of others to exact his own vengeance.
Li ngyun was desperately cursing him with all her might, but her vicious words fell upon deaf ears.
"Do you still rember Sun Yuan?" Fang Che asked with a cold expression.
"Sun Yuan? How is he related to you?"
"No relation, but he was a mber of our One Heart Church, and anyone who dares to kill people from our One Heart Church must be made to pay!"
He turned and raised his sword as he spoke, using it as an executioner's blade to chop off Li Changhe's head.
"There goes the first one!"
Li Changbo's head quickly followed.
"That's the second one!"
The third, naless guard accompanying Li ngyun was next, and his face was deathly pale as he stared at Night Demon's sword with a fearful expression. He gritted his teeth tightly, then opened his mouth to let loose a furious roar, but before he was able to utter any final words, his head had already been separated from his body.
"That's number three!"
Finally, Night Demon arrived before Li ngyun, then pierced his sword into her dantian before giving it a vicious twist.
With her dantian destroyed, he now had nothing to worry about even if Ye Yun weren't present.
Li ngyun was shrieking in agony and hatred, her facial features completely twisted and contorted, and there was blood flowing out of all of her orifices as she continued to curse Night Demon with all her might.
Fang Che's eyes narrowed slightly as he said in a gentle voice, "You can rest assured on one thing, Li ngyun. I know you're worried about your brother, so I'm sending you to the afterlife to reunite with him. I know you also don't want to leave the other mbers of your clan behind, so I'll be sending them to join you and your brother as well.
“One by one, all of them will cross over to the other side for a clan reunion! By the ti I'm done with your clan, not even a single dog will be left alive!"
At this point, Li ngyun was becoming a little delirious from her excruciating pain, and she murmured in a broken voice, "Why would you go so far, Night Demon?"
Fang Che offered no response as a cold look appeared in his eyes.
The image of Sun Yuan's head impaled to the city wall by his own saber had resurfaced in his mind, and with it ca an intense wave of resentnt.
He decided to give Li ngyun a taste of her own dicine, grabbing her sword before using it to decapitate her in one swift swing.
The sword glided effortlessly through the flesh of her neck, and not a single drop of blood was left behind on its surface.
"What a fine sword!" Fang Che praised.
He kicked the four heads together, then tied them together by the hair before conducting a search of their bodies, making sure to loot them for everything they had.
Finally, he stripped Li ngyun's spatial ring off her finger before tucking it away.
