Felicia kept her eyes glued to her plate, hoping Armand would stop staring. He didn’t. His gaze lingered a little too long, making her feel exposed, small. She forced herself to focus on her food, stabbing at her scrambled eggs like it could protect her from him.

Leo, sitting across from her, tilted his head and smirked. "So... where did Alaric and Armand disappear to last night? Everyone’s talking, and yet you two vanished."

Alaric waved his hand dismissively. "Sothing ca up. Nothing major."

Leo raised his brows and nodded, clearly buying it.

There was a quiet pause before Alaric leaned back in his chair. "Wait... so Athena didn’t co to school today?"

Leo blinked, then said, "You don’t know? Athena... she was drugged last night."

Alaric nearly shot up from his chair. "What?!"

He froze when he realized he’d drawn attention, slowly sitting back down, eyes darkening.

Leo continued, his voice calm but sharp. "And... Eryx... he made out with her."

Alaric’s eyes hardened, veins of anger surfacing. Even Armand’s brows furrowed, his usual detached expression giving way to a tense line.

Felicia’s fork froze mid-air. She suddenly rembered why Athena acted strange yesterday after she woke up. Eryx... force her? No. That didn’t make sense. If he wanted to take advantage of her while she was under the drug’s influence, he could’ve. He would have fucked her multiple tis. But he hadn’t. He’d only... made out with her.

Alaric didn’t even think twice. He slamd his chair back and stord out of the cafeteria, long strides eating up the space.

Levi glanced at Armand. "Where’s your twin going?"

Armand leaned against his chair, gaze lingering on Felicia as if she held the answer. "Probably looking for Eryx. Planning to beat him senseless."

Felicia’s eyes flashed. She wanted to shout. Why would he do that? She leaned back, her voice quiet but sharp in thought.

Think about it... Athena was drugged. Eryx saved her life. He didn’t take advantage of her. He could have, but he didn’t. He only made out with her... because he was... probably helpless.

Felicia’s hand tightened around her fork, knuckles whitening. She couldn’t shake the uneasiness twisting in her stomach. Everyone here was quick to judge, quick to react, especially Alaric. But sothing about last night... sothing about the way Eryx looked tensea, kept replaying in her head.

Leo exhaled sharply, raking a hand through his hair. "I swear, this school never rests. One night party and now everyone’s ready to kill each other."

Levi nodded in agreent, shoving a spoonful of rice into his mouth. "Yeah, but... drugging Athena? That’s ssed up."

Felicia looked up at him. "Exactly. And if Eryx really did it, why would he bother saving her afterward? Why would he bother calling a doctor on her? Does that make sense?"

Leo paused mid-chew, blinking slowly. "Hmm. True."

Levi frowned. "Are you saying Eryx didn’t know she was drugged?"

Felicia swallowed. "I don’t know. But what I do know is... people under the influence react differently. And maybe he..."

Her words stopped when she felt a shadow. Armand was staring again. Not in the creepy way this ti, more like he was also reasoning what she is saying.

His voice ca low, steady, almost cold. "Are you saying Eryx couldn’t control himself?"

Felicia hesitated. "I’m saying... maybe last night wasn’t what everyone thinks it is."

Armand’s eyes narrowed slightly. That tiny change in his usually blank expression felt like thunder.

Leo leaned back in his chair, whistling. "Well, whatever the truth is, Alaric’s gonna punch first and ask questions never."

Levi snorted. "Eryx will punch back. And probably break Alaric’s bones."

Felicia sighed, pressing her fingers to her temple. "Guys... think logically. Athena was crying. She was scared. But she didn’t say anything. What if she blas herself?"

Both Leo and Levi exchange. Beneath those looks said the words: Oh shit she might be right

Suddenly Armand stood up and everyone around the table looked confused.

Felicia blinked. "Where are you going?"

His answer was simple. "To stop Alaric from doing sothing stupid."

He walked away with long strides.

Felicia stared after him, chest tightening with an emotion she refused to na.

Leo leaned in and whispered, "I think Armand likes you."

Felicia kicked him under the table. Hard.

"That’s not funny."

Levi snickered and pointed at the doorway. "Funny or not... didn’t you see the way he listened to you?"

Felicia looked back down at her food, cheeks warm.

Alaric didn’t walk, he literally stord.

Students jumped out of the way as he tore down the corridor like a man possessed, fury rolling off him in waves.

"ERYX!...Eryx..." His voice cracked through the hallway like thunder.

Heads turned at him. "Eryx, co out, you coward!"

Gasps scattered. Teachers peeked out of doors. But Alaric didn’t give a single damn.

He was shaking with rage, fists clenched, chest heaving. "ERYX!"

The classroom door opened slowly.

Eryx stepped out. CalmUnbothered.

His molten gold eyes swept the chaos, then landed on Alaric. "What’s with the shouting?" he asked coolly, shutting the door behind him.

That was all it took.

Alaric launched at him.

With a snarl, he swung a fist at Eryx, the hit landed across his face with a crack so loud the entire corridor gasped as one.

Eryx’s head jerked to the side.

For a heartbeat, he was still.

WOW guys.

Then...Eryx moved fast. He twisted sharply and slamd his leg upward, a brutal kick connecting with Alaric’s jaw.

The strike was so savage Alaric staggered back several steps, nearly falling as pain exploded across his face.

A ripple of shocked murmurs rushed through the crowd.

Eryx exhaled once, slowly, then casually dusted off his shirt...which wasn’t even dirty.

Like he was bored and done with everybody’s bullshit.

But Alaric wasn’t.

"Bastard!" he growled as he charged again, madness in his eyes.

But just before he could reach Eryx. A strong arms locked around his torso from behind.

Alaric struggled, roaring, "LET GO!"

But the grip only tightened.

Armand.

He held his twin with a calmness so chilling it silenced part of the hallway.

Eryx’s eyes flicked up at the sa mont. For the first ti, sothing like irritation crossed his features.

Armand’s voice ca low, but sharp. "Alaric. Enough."

Alaric thrashed, breath ragged. "He touched her! He took adv..."

"Enough." Armand repeated, tightening his hold.

The corridor buzzed with whispers.

Students stared, so taking a video.

Eryx wiped the corner of his lip, glanced at the faint sar of blood, and lifted his eyes to Alaric’s again. "Are you done screaming," he asked quietly,

"or do you want to break sothing else?"

Armand’s grip kept Alaric from lunging again, but it didn’t stop his mouth.

Alaric glared at Eryx like he wanted to carve him open. His voice shook with pure rage. "You’re disgusting, Eryx.

Touching a girl who wasn’t even conscious? You really couldn’t keep your filthy hands to yourself, huh?"

Gasps rippled through the crowd.

"Did Eryx really do that?"

"Is the girl Athena?"

"Maybe that was why she didn’t co to school."

"No...she’s a bitch, she probably seduced him."

Eryx heard everything they said and he was going to handle the idiot that called his princess, a bitch.

He just looked at Alaric the way one might look at a barking dog.

Unimpressed.
