Chapter 81: Bits and Pieces of mories

When the plane landed at Imperial Airport, light snow began to fall, and the entire world seed to be veiled in a layer of white mist.

Fans sohow found out Lin Qin and ng Chao’s flight information and were waiting at the exit for them to appear.

They held light boards and banners, standing quietly in the corner. However, Lin Qin and ng Chao never showed up. After learning that fans had co to et them, the two decided to take the VIP passage to avoid creating trouble for the airport staff.

Even so, ng Chao and Lin Qin still had their assistants buy a cup of hot coffee for the fans, reminding them to stay safe on their way ho.

The two walked directly out through the VIP passage and got into the car. Lin Qin sat in his seat, staring at the snow falling outside the window in a daze.

ng Chao waved his hand in front of Lin Qin and asked, "What’s wrong?"

Lin Qin snapped out of it and said, "Do you always have fans waiting for you at the airport when you travel? It’s so cold today; why would they still co out? They’re not taking care of themselves at all." Clearly, he was concerned about the fans who ca to et them.

ng Chao, used to this, replied, "This is one way they show their love for you. It’s also a mont when they feel they can get closer to you."

Airport greetings are sothing that cannot be entirely stopped. Fans are always incredibly resourceful, sohow obtaining the flight information of celebrities and showing up, regardless of the circumstances.

Even if they can only catch a glimpse from afar, even if no words are exchanged, they still feel content.

It’s hard to say whether this mindset is good or bad. As long as it doesn’t cause trouble for others, it’s simply a way of wholeheartedly liking soone.

After hearing ng Chao’s explanation, Lin Qin began to understand the fans’ mindset. It was so similar to his own back then—he too had thought, as long as I can see ng Chao from afar, just one glance would be enough to satisfy .

But he was luckier than other fans. He had the chance to be with ng Chao and even ended up dating him.

Thinking about this, Lin Qin suddenly started laughing.

"What are you laughing about all of a sudden?" ng Chao rubbed Lin Qin’s head and asked.

Lin Qin tilted his head to look at ng Chao, a sly glint in his eyes. "Does this make the pinnacle of all fans? After all, I’m dating my idol now."

ng Chao chuckled and said, "I can take you even higher than that."

Lin Qin: "What do you an?"

ng Chao leaned over and kissed Lin Qin. "Getting married to your idol, spending the rest of your life together with him." He teased yet spoke earnestly, "Qinqin, would you want that pinnacle?"

Lin Qin, silently teased once again by ng Chao: "..." In the end, his face turned red, and he nodded slightly.

Of course he was willing. How could he not be?

The car drove toward the Lin family ho. When Lin Qin got out of the car, he stared at ng Chao for a long ti, reluctant to leave.

Since he had gotten together with ng Chao, they hadn’t spent much ti apart, but this ti, he truly needed to return ho. His parents had called him multiple tis urging him to co back. Previously, he had the excuse of filming, but now there was none.

How could ng Chao not understand Lin Qin’s hesitation? He got out of the car too, gently kissing Lin Qin and comforting him, "After the New Year, we’ll take a trip—just the two of us."

It was like dangling a huge reward in front of Lin Qin, and he imdiately bit down on that promise.

"Go on, Uncle is waiting for you," ng Chao said, pecking Lin Qin’s lips again.

Lin Qin reluctantly walked toward his ho, turning back every few steps.

Lin Chengdu stood at the door, and when he saw Lin Qin’s state as he returned, he was overco with emotion, his face wet with tears.

People always say daughters should not be retained when they grow up, but why did it seem like that applied to sons too for him?

Of course, Lin Chengdu was just grumbling to himself. When Lin Qin reached him, he welcod him warmly back ho with a big smile.

"Qin, I’ve already had your room tidied up. The blankets were aired out yesterday when the sun was shining. Go check it out and see if you like it. If not, let know, and I’ll change it right away," Lin Chengdu rambled on as he walked beside Lin Qin, his voice full of vigor and his joy abundantly clear. It was evident how thrilled he was that Lin Qin had co back to stay.

Lin Qin hadn’t been staying here because he disliked sharing a space with others; instead, he lived in a relatively secluded villa in the suburbs.

A while ago, Lin Chengdu had called Lin Qin asking when he’d co ho and had soone prepare the villa for his return. Lin Qin had thought about it and said, "I’ll co back to stay."

Coming back ant staying in the house where he had lived before things went wrong, the place Lin Chengdu had always called ho in his heart.

So it was easy to imagine how ecstatic Lin Chengdu had been to hear that. He didn’t hesitate to have Lin Qin’s room completely redecorated, eagerly awaiting his return.

Lin Qin wasn’t particular about which room he slept in. After taking a quick look inside, he nodded under Lin Chengdu’s expectant gaze. "I really like it."

Lin Chengdu’s face lit up as if he were a blooming flower, his eyes crinkling into crescent moons.

Lin Qin couldn’t help but laugh as he was swept up in his father’s infectious happiness.

Lin Chengdu pulled Lin Qin over to sit on the sofa in the living room. "What do you want to eat tonight? I’ll ask Auntie to make it for you."

"Anything’s fine," Lin Qin replied casually, though his gaze wandered, taking in the decor of the villa. He hadn’t been back here for years because, in his mory, this place had felt cold and lonely.

Back then, he hadn’t dared to face the villa that had once filled him with boundless joy and warmth.

Lin Chengdu, following Lin Qin’s gaze, sighed with so emotion and said, "All these years, I’ve kept it just the sa. This place carries too many mories of our family. I couldn’t bear to change anything."

Indeed, every corner of the villa looked exactly as Lin Qin rembered. What once seed cold now carried echoes of childhood laughter in his ears.

Although Lin Qin felt that the villa’s decor was sowhat outdated, the warmth and mories it held brought him back to his childhood.

The things that carry mories and emotions never truly go out of style.

Lin Chengdu, intentionally or not, began reminiscing about Lin Qin’s childhood antics. Lin Qin, initially a little tense, gradually began to relax as he laughed at his own childhood blunders, aided by his father’s stories.

The bond between the father and son instantly grew closer.

As they were happily chatting, the doorbell rang.

"I’ll get it," Lin Chengdu said, standing up and heading to the door. When he saw who was outside, his tone imdiately shifted, "What are you doing here?"

His tone didn’t sound entirely welcoming, but if you listened closely, you could detect a hint of excitent.

"My son’s back ho, and I can’t even co to see him?" Another voice rang out sharply, confidently pushing past Lin Chengdu to step inside.

Of course, the visitor was Chu Ge.

Chu Ge walked in and froze as she looked around at the villa’s decor.

Lin Chengdu, imdiately defensive, said, "I didn’t not renovate because I was sentintal or anything. I’m just lazy, that’s all. Don’t read too much into it."
