Chapter 40: The Typhoon Arrives

Lin Qin didn’t notice anything unusual about ng Chao. Sitting on the bed, he used a dry towel to wipe his hair. Seeing ng Chao still sitting there, he asked curiously, "Brother Chao, aren’t you going to take a shower?"

ng Chao exhaled and said, "I still have sothing to deal with. I’ll shower in a bit."

Right now, he didn’t dare to stand up. If he did, Lin Qin would surely notice. It wasn’t because he was shy—it was more about avoiding making Lin Qin feel embarrassed.

Knowing Lin Qin’s personality, ng Chao had already ntally prepared himself for a long-term reliance on "Five-fingered Girl" when they said goodbye earlier.

Lin Qin didn’t think much of it. After drying his hair, he leaned half-sitting against the bed and started scrolling through Weibo on his phone. He looked calm on the surface, but in reality, he was restless. Unable to vent his agitation in the physical world, he turned to his Weibo alt account to let it all out.

Qinqin for Chao: Ahhhhh, I’m in the sa room with my idol. What do I do? My heart feels like it’s about to jump out of my chest!

Qinqin for Chao: I just took a shower, and the glass is frosted. I don’t know if my idol saw anything. Just the thought makes so embarrassed.

Unaware of what Lin Qin was doing, ng Chao suppressed his own desire, then grabbed so clothes from his suitcase and headed into the bathroom.

Before entering, he paused deliberately at the bathroom door, leaned slightly, and said to Lin Qin, "I don’t mind if you watch shower, you know."

Lin Qin’s face instantly turned beet red. He grabbed a pillow and threw it at ng Chao, who laughed heartily and walked into the bathroom.

As soon as the sound of water started in the bathroom, Lin Qin could no longer focus on his phone. His eyes betrayed him, frequently flicking toward the frosted glass. Through the hazy pane, he could faintly see the lean, toned outline of ng Chao’s body.

ng Chao had his back to Lin Qin—a perfectly sculpted inverted triangle figure, leading down to a firm, round butt, and then a pair of long, straight legs.

Gulp...

Lin Qin couldn’t help swallowing hard, his Adam’s apple bobbing as he forgot to look away.

Just as ng Chao seed about to turn around, Lin Qin hurriedly snapped his gaze back to his phone, his whole body burning crimson. It suddenly hit him—am I really this thirsty?

Unable to resist sneaking another glance at the bathroom, Lin Qin scread internally, quickly pulling the blanket over himself to cover his face.

But there was still an itch in his heart, like a feather teasing him. Lin Qin picked up his phone again, redirecting all his swirling emotions back to his Weibo alt.

Qinqin for Chao: I just saw my idol naked. He’s so handso, and his body is incredible. I feel like I’m about to lose control.

Qinqin for Chao: I really want to touch him. I wonder if his muscles are firm? What do I do? What if I can’t hold back tonight?

The more Lin Qin thought about it, the more wound up he felt, with no outlet for relief. Eventually, the only thing left on his alt account was a chain of "ahhhhhhs," encapsulating all his pent-up feelings.

When ng Chao ca out of the bathroom after his shower, he saw Lin Qin wrapped up in the blanket, curled into a ball. From the outside, Lin Qin seed to be lightly wriggling around under the covers—adorably so.

ng Chao walked over, stopped, and tugged on the blanket. "Qinqin, don’t you feel stifled in there?"

Lin Qin peeked out from under the blanket, his head, still slightly ssy, erging like a fluffy chick. Only when he saw that ng Chao was fully dressed did he relax and pull the blanket down.

ng Chao raised an eyebrow knowingly. He had a pretty good idea now—Lin Qin’s skin was as red as a cooked shrimp, likely because he had seen ng Chao showering.

A thought crept into ng Chao’s mind. Leaning down, he chuckled lowly into Lin Qin’s ear and asked, "Qinqin, how do you like my body?"

"I don’t know!" Lin Qin yelled the words almost at the top of his lungs. Having only just climbed out of the covers, he instantly burrowed back inside, burning up so badly he felt feverish.

ng Chao decided not to push further and tugged lightly at the blanket. Speaking gently, he said, "Qinqin, my hair’s still wet. Will you help dry it?"

A muffled voice ca from under the blanket, "Do it yourself."

"But I like it when you help , Qinqin." ng Chao didn’t even bother pretending to maintain his dignity in front of Lin Qin.

Lin Qin, utterly defenseless, shifted and fidgeted under the blanket before crawling out again. Blushing, he said, "Give the towel—sit down."

ng Chao obligingly humd in delight, sitting down in front of Lin Qin and letting him towel-dry his hair.

Lin Qin’s movents were gentle, and ng Chao naturally enjoyed every second of it.

The weather forecast had said the typhoon would make landfall around seven in the evening. But before it even reached seven, the world outside had already transford.

Because of the impending typhoon, the streets were nearly deserted. Strangely, though the sky was devoid of clouds, an overwhelming feeling of oppression weighed on everything.

The eerie stillness before the storm—the trees stood silent, the surroundings hushed. It felt as though they had slipped into another dinsion.

In the distance, the shadows of trees began to sway, and objects started to rise uneasily into the air.

Just a few minutes past seven, the typhoon finally arrived.

Even with all the windows and doors shut tightly, the howling wind was impossible to ignore. Sheets of rain fell in relentless torrents, slanting diagonally as if trying to smother the world.

Sowhere, a garbage bin was picked up by the wind, its contents scattered like confetti, drifting away amid the storm.

This typhoon was fierce. Within minutes, the streets had turned into rivers. Trees along the roadsides were uprooted, and stray sheets of tal were blown into the air, clanging loudly as the winds carried them away. The typhoon seed intent on declaring its might to all.

The streetlights held on desperately, illuminating the terrifying night.

For Lin Qin, a northerner, this was his first encounter with a typhoon.

Standing by the window, he watched the chaotic scene outside, feeling as though he himself might be swept away at any mont.

Suddenly, he spotted the streetlights flickering through the rain, like an aged, weary giant taking its last breath. One by one, the lights went out, plunging everything into darkness.

Darkness and the unknown are what truly terrify. Even though the sound of the storm was muffled by the windows, it still resembled the low growls of a beast, ready to devour at any ti.

Lin Qin’s heart clenched tightly as fear crept up inside him.

Then, as if on cue, the ceiling light above him flickered a few tis and went out completely.

The guestroom was plunged into pitch-black darkness, leaving it so opaque that even an outstretched hand beca invisible.

"Brother Chao?" Lin Qin’s lips trembled uncontrollably as fear swelled in his chest alongside the storm’s unrelenting roar.

A beam of light cut through the darkness, and Lin Qin squinted against its brightness, his eyes slowly adjusting. When he could finally see again, he realized ng Chao was rushing toward him.

"Qinqin, are you okay?" ng Chao asked, his voice full of concern.

Lin Qin didn’t answer. Instead, as soon as ng Chao reached him, Lin Qin threw himself into ng Chao’s arms and tilted his head upward to claim ng Chao’s lips in a kiss.

Lips against lips, ng Chao’s eyes widened in shock. He never would have imagined that their first kiss—his and Lin Qin’s—would co from Lin Qin taking the initiative.
