Mai Qi leaned back in her chair, her feet resting on the table. “Why not? You need to know your enemies to win the battles!”

The two of them fell silent.

I glared at her. “lodramatic your head!”
Jing Ni asked, “Did you hear her say that she hasn’t seen at the Jing family’s Party?”

Mai Qi said, “Do you suspect soone in the Jing Family is trying to steal the cooperation opportunity with the Lin Family from Jing Tian?”
I shook my head. That wasn’t what I heard.
As expected, Jing Ni found so information. “My uncle and my second uncle stole a business deal from the Lin family. This made the two families quite unhappy.”
That made sense.
“I rember that the Jing family doesn’t have any dical business. Why would your uncle steal business from the Lin Family?” I gestured for Jing Ni to continue her investigation.
Mai Qi frowned. “Does soone want to destroy the relationship between the Jing family and the Lin Family?”
I smiled and tapped her forehead. “Soone, soone. Why are you starting a conspiracy? Can’t it be a coincidence?”
Mai Qi reached out to push my finger away. “Sigh, how can there be so many coincidences? Don’t forget. We are in the open, and there are so many monsters in the dark! We can’t kill them all. No one could tell when they would strike next.”
I nodded. That was indeed the truth.
Jing Ni stopped and frowned. “The competition was due to a piece of land. The Lin Family wanted to build a Chinese dicine garden. However, my uncle has chosen that piece of land to build a high-grade club.”
I frowned. “Where is this land? This doesn’t make sense. A Chinese dicine garden would be built in the mountains. Why would a place like that be suitable to build a club?”

My uncle has asked a feng shui master and decided it’s good to build a club there. The club will be very secluded. No one will be able to supervise what goes on there. Plus, the scenery there is indeed very beautiful.”
I sneered. “He really knows how to pander to the governnt officials!”
Mai Qi imdiately chuckled, “So it’s for bribery? That’s great. I should tell my brother about it. He has been so bored. This is sothing that could take up so of his ti.”
“What’s the result now?” I asked Jing Ni.
Jing Ni replied, “My uncle has won the bid of the land, so he has greatly offended the Lin Family.”
I nodded. This made sense.
