Chapter 502: Amnesia
Banxia’s eyes imdiately widened. “Miss, you gave my wallet as a present.”
I nodded, “Yes, and you lost it!”
Banxia imdiately rolled up her sleeves. “Impossible! I will never lose sothing Miss has given . Even if I have to dig to the center of the Earth, I will find it. Miss, I love everything you give like treasures!”
I smiled. I had many things in life. Banxia valued the wallet more than money. I was very happy.
“Banxia, I lost my mory. I want to find it back. It’s as precious as the wallet I gave you!” I said softly.
Banxia was stunned. She swallowed and said softly, “A lost wallet is easy to find. Our island is only so big. In half a month, I’d have searched through the whole island. But how can one start to search for mory?”
She was a little lancholic.
I reached out and hugged her shoulder. “It’s alright. There will always be a way!”
Banxia never struggled with aningless things. She imdiately smiled and said, “Yes, I believe you, Miss.”
I was feeling like quite a fool. To think this silly girl would take my loss seriously…
“Is uncle at ho?” I changed the topic.
Banxia nodded. “Yes.”
My uncle’s na was Tong Hui. He wasn’t in good health. I heard that he was poisoned when he was young. Although he was cured, his body had already been damaged. As a result, he always looked like he was on the verge of collapse. I was always worried that he’d sleep one day and never wake up.
However, my worry was unnecessary. We have a very good doctor here, Mrs. Ma Ji. I didn’t know where she studied dicine, but she was very good at it. If my uncle didn’t have her, he would have died a long ti ago.
Therefore, Ma Ji’s status was very high. Everyone was in awe of her. However, she liked my uncle. She was a die-hard fan of my uncle. How proud she was before others, was how servile she was around my uncle.
I was a little afraid of her because she was a little spooky. She treated very well, but I believed it was because of my uncle. Our relationship was one of indifference.
I was not happy, not at all.
I had no mory, none about my uncle and Ma Ji. They reminded who they were. Sotis, I doubted them because I couldn’t find any sense of kinship from them.
I could take care of myself, but I had no mory. It was like an eraser had gone into my mind to wipe away everything from my past.
My uncle said this was a hereditary illness. The last person to have it was my grandmother. When she died, she couldn’t rember anything either.
My uncle didn’t want to beco my grandmother, so I had to take dicine every day. They were prescribed by Mrs. Ma Ji. Ever since I woke up, my mory had remained intact. But I couldn’t rember anything from before that.
Well, that was not entirely true. I rembered my parents left so treasures on this small island. My uncle wanted to find them. Therefore, he hoped that I could rember more. My parents had left a few hidden treasure troves, but I could only rember one of their locations.
Mrs. Ma Ji said this couldn’t be rushed. The process of mory recovery was quite torturous.
I had this feeling that I had forgotten sothing or soone important. Sotis, I really wanted soone to pry open my skull to see which screw had fallen off. I wanted to fix it as soon as possible.
Amnesia was like blindness. Everything in my world was black..
